Location was convenient; concierge was very helpful; amenities were fitting for a fine establishment. My daughter and I stayed on the 17th floor and it was very quiet, in keeping with the dignified image we had going in. Noise and partying most of the night on the 11th floor kept my husband and son up until about 3 a.m. and ruined their stay. My husband called the front desk at one point, but the partying resumed immediately after security left. This part of our trip was very disappointing, because a hotel stay is something we do not do often. |

We were looking to stay somewhere close to shopping (Macy's) and the Palmer House was the perfect place to do it. Miller's Pub right next to the Palmer House was a perfect place to have a pint or to take the family to dinner. The room was a bit small but nice. As long as you didn't come to Chicago to hibernate in the room during your stay it's fine. Everyone should be out painting the town anyway, it's chicago!! |

I found the best part of the hotel to be the staff and lobby. We were not, however, pleased with our room for the amount that we paid. We thought it would be bigger and a bit more glamorous. Also, the walls are incredibly thin and we heard everything going on in the hallway and neighboring rooms. Even the hallway leading to our room looked run-down. It was a good idea to renovate the lobby....as that was the online photo that sucked us in. |

I loved it! Everything...customer service; international flair; it was a great package....HOWEVER...... THe only complaint I have about the Palmer House is that it did not have any coffee pots or microwaves in the room. |

Location (close to the art museum and Symphony).Good value for Chicago.Our room ( on floor 18) was small, not very clean(the carpet needed a more careful vacuuming ) and a bit dated but comfortable, good pillows. |

Beautiful historic hotel, centrally located in the Loop. Impressive, well restored public spaces, attentive staff, recently renovated rooms. The rooms were a bit small, and the style of the renovated rooms was not to my liking--to me they were trying to convey a sense of luxury but came across as bizarre fru-fru. They were clean, everything was there and the bathrooms, though small, were nicely renovated with granite vanities. |

Lobby is beautiful and very elegant. Location is very convenient -- walking distance to train, Art Institute, theater, park, river.. Very quiet. Lockwood Restaurant was disappointing, at least for breakfast. |
