The entrance lobby is truly astounding. Makes you feel like a film star to walk into such a spectacular room with its high painted ceilings and beautiful Tiffany angel lampstands. The rooms were fresh and recently redecorated and the staff in the Potter's Bar lounge were extremely accommodating when we were on the hunt for somewhere to watch the Premier League finals at 9am! Excellent location and a gorgeous building - it felt great to be staying somewhere which had played such a historic role in the development of Chicago.

The only slight issue was that breakfast on the second day was extremely busy because of an event being held in the main restaurant. But overall the staff handled it well and the food was delicious.

The friendliness of the staff and the wonderful effort made to have our trip be a memorable experience. We had a wonderful room on the 17th floor and were very, very pleased!

Returned to our room at 4:00 after a day of sightseeing and the housekeeping staff had not yet been in the room to tidy up. Our only complaint, though. A truly wonderful experience overall.

The value for the money and the location.

My friends got a smaller room for the same price that I payed, they didnt like that.

The Palmer House was very nice. It is centrally located, the bartender directed us to some excellent restaurants, and the main lobby is exceptional. Oh and President Obama was giving a speech there while we were there. Its a very nice place.

I was on the 13 floor so my view wasn't that good but had friends on the 16th whose views of Lake Michigan were very nice. So stay on a Higher floor. The lack of Flat Screen TVs in the room was dissappointing (since we were there during March Madness) but other than that I have no complaints.

The Palmer House Hilton is where we stayed on our honeymoon 20 years ago. It was beautiful then and still beautiful now, just as we remembered it. Loved the location for its easy access to the trains, restaurants, shopping, theatres, cultural sights, and more. It houses The Lockwood restaurant, one of the Top 25 restaurants in Chicago, and the food was fabulous!

The only thing we did not like about the Palmer House Hilton is that there was no coffee maker in the room. Ordering up a pot every morning isn't the same convenience or experience. There also was not a refrigerator in the room for chilling water or saving yummy leftovers for those in-between-time munchies.

Very small room. Bathroom smaller than an RV...had to literally step into bathtub to close the door to use the toliet should not even be renting a room that small. Old tv in cabinet that prevented u from walking around bed very disappointing foe Hilton standards

Good location, friendly staff, clean rooms, good rate. Around the holidays it certainly gets you in the holiday mood, the lobby is fantastic. I think it's one of the few hotels downtown that has a pool and that was a big hit with my two granddaughters Grace 12 and Abby 8. It was also my granddaughters birthday and we went and had her nails done in the salon and they were very sweet to her.

Everything was good, we are Hilton honors and were not able to get points because we booked it through booking.com.

The room was great - there were 4 of us on a shopping trip so the interconnecting rooms were perfect - lots of space and a bathroom each. We'll be back again! The Lobby was really impressive - especially that ceiling.

Very beautiful and historic.

Room was very average at best. Not worth the high dollar price tag. Compared to any cheap chain hotel it would lose 9 out of 10 times. Definatly not deluxe as in the room name. No fridge and small standard definition tv. Also no continental breakfast. I could have payed a quarter of the price and gotten much more.

The location was perfect for the start of the Chicago Marathon and getting around Chicago.

The check out time was too early to come back and shower after the marathon. We ended up showering in the hotel's fitness club but they charged us $10/shower.
