Very comfortable bed-close to buses and cable cars-good value for 130/night Bathroom ceiling and grout had mildew and there were stains on the wall. |

Decor of room was updated and in good taste. Staff was helpful and friendly. Location was ideal for shopping and near Bart. Water pressure was poor for the shower and sink. Parking was expensive $32 for overnight but not out of the ordinary for the area. |

attended a conference yes, 1. my room was on the side of the hotel next to noisy machinery - it made sleeping very difficult at night. the machines were on most of the time. 2. the air conditioner in my room did not work so the room was always stuffy, and 3. I found the flaky paint work on the ceiling distasteful and totally unnecessary. my friends staying at the mosser around the corner paid less for a very very nice room. |

I liked very much the location of the hotel. Close to Moscone Conference Center, close to the City Center - Union Square and Cable Car. I didn't like the cleanliness of my room. The bed, especially, was very dirty. The people at the reception were flexible, but sometimes from another planet., |

Great Value for Money, Somehow Old but who cares, It's also in a very good location, stayed there for Sungard Summit 10 which was in the Moscone Center, Was really Close. Would defintaley stay there again Staff very Unfriendly! |

Wonderful location, safe & an easy walk to all the shopping & transportation one could hope for. The staff were friendly & very helpful. San Francisco sells itself but this hotel for the room rate we paid made our visit even more memorable. Their room decor could be updated by a stylist. However for the price I paid for the room I would still choose this hotel over the other "mid price range hotels" I have stayed in on union square. |

Very friendly service at the counter and room cleaners; clean; beautiful decoration in the lobby and room Moving elavator caused noticeable noise, making one staying in the room next to the elavator sleepless. Lack of a teapoy for coffee maker. Television set isn't well set. |

7 Minutes walking distance to Moscone Center! Some staff was very nice. The "Business Center" was small, cold and uninviting but at the mezzanine level sofa group and at a "lounge area" on bottom floor were great opportunities for working outside your room with the free WiFi. No breakfast, only á la carte next door. Hotel gym could use some freshening up and newer/repaired equipment - was afraid that constant creaks from equipment would wake up neighbours. No lock on (and difficult to close) the bathroom door. No proper closet with drawers. Small/cramped rooms, one get the feeling there have been a desire to fill the room with more than the room can handle - great 3 meter mirror over one wall, partly obscured by a TV cupboard the size of a closet and a framed painting - glued on to the mirror? |

The hotel staff were excellent! They really made us feel welcome. The hotel was at the heart of the city. Public transportation was highly accessible. The hotel was a bit old but I still highly recommend it. |

I loved the central location. Close to Moscone, right by Union Square and the Cable Cars. And, there's the Westfield and Metreon a block in each direction. The room, while nicely furnished, seemed a bit old. The book did say it was a historic hotel though. |

The hotel is very centrally located, close to Union square, Moscone Center, and shopping areas. Wireless access was available free of charge. The hallways, doors, carpets in the hotel are due for a renovation some time soon. |
