The location is excellent, right in the down town, close to many attractions. The building is quite old, and so are some of the facilities (e.g. bathroom). The wi-fi reception wasn't very good in my room.

The staff is their crown jewel. Everyone took time to learn your name and you it when addressing you. (great touch) The lobby was quaint and quite nostalgic. The rooms were a little small but I was expecting that in a hotel of this age. All in all a great experience. We would stay there again. A 3 star hotel with 5 star staff!!!

Location. Literally steps away from the Westfield shoppig centre (Macy'S.. Bloomingdales and Nordstrom too from memory). The hotel was also really close to the cable car station and bus station. Overall a good value for money!! Walls are thin.. Kinda noisy and we could hear noises in the other room.. Room is small and old..

Friendly, professional staff. Close to Amtrak bus pick-up, bart, muni lines we wanted. Reasonably quiet location. Near Westfield Shopping center, movie theatres, cable cars, and a handful of blocks to Union Square and Chinatown. Rooms are on the small side but had everything we needed. Our favorite place for breakfast was the Mason Cafe on Mason near O'Farrell. There is also a breakfast cafe next door to the hotel.

Service quality was very nice. I enjoyed staying at the very convenient area near to the Moscone convention center and shopping zone. Although stayed in a room at the highest floor (8th), traffic noise was sometimes large.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was well situated. There was no pressure for the shower. I complained the first day and it got better but by the end of the week it was terrible again. The hotel was very expensive..

We stopped over in San Francisco on our way to Cancun and the hotel was comfortable, quaint and within walking distance from areas of interest. Such as Union Square, the tram, lots of shops .... The Pickwick is in a great location. The hotel is a bit tired and could do with an upgrade!

The location was outstanding. Access to everything was great. Staff was friendly and usually sincere and helpful. I stayed in room 623. The paint on the ceiling is peeling away. The desk is very cramped by the bed. My biggest complaint and 4 other guests who were part of my group, had identical complaint: the wifi connection speed was reminiscent of a 14.4 dial up modem circa 1995. We could not open up websites and opening or sending emails was so painful that we took our iPads and notebooks to Starbuck's because it just sucked having to deal with the slowness. I called the front desk, they rebooted the system and it was no better. You must do something to fix this as it alone would prevent all of us from returning. We can't in good faith recommend this now as it ruined our business that had to be done from our rooms.

I was very impressed by the employee friendliness. It was quite noisy at night (ambulances, etc) without any real noise protection. Other than that, I liked it a lot.

Nothing special, only the location is good close to moscone center and union square. The Internet connection was the worst, and the wifi connection doesn't reach to the rooms especially in higher floors.

I loved the deep bathtub & plenty of hot water! Beds were very comfortable. Nice & quiet. Good location I really missed having a light in the closet. I had to bring my suitcase to my bed to see what was in it. That is my only real complaint.

The best part of this hotel is the location - almost attached to Bloomingdale's in downtown sf. I was disappointed with the hotel aesthetically - it was an old building that needs a lot of updating. Especially for the price, this is an overpriced hotel, but it is because of the location in sf.

“Staff at reception were helpful and accomodating. Rory, at the bar, provided plenty of useful information about bars and music in the area as well as keeping drinks replenished! Room was cleaned every day and bed was extremely comfortable. Reading information provided about the city yielded plenty of tips about where to eat etc. Many thanks for a very pleasant New Year! ” Michele, Weston-super-mare |

“Hotel Milano was great! It's located directly next to the Nordstrom, so great location. A boutique hotel, but the room we stayed in was super comfortable and QUIET. Wonderful for an overnight get away for a couple without their kids. We will probably stay there again and bring the kids. Great value. I would highly recommend it!” Shelley, Danville |
