The Pickwick Hotel San Francisco  

uitgeblust hotel, louter voor massatoerisme

Ideale centrale ligging voor een bezoek aan SFen nette kamer. Ook op loopafstand van auto drop of van enkele grote autoverhuurbedrijven: dus koffers aan het hotel afzetten, auto wegbrengen en de rest autovrij in sf doorbrengen (wat de enige aangename manier is mi). Verder op enkele meters van bart (trein naar luchthaven) en de gekende kabeltram. Leuk klassiek hotel. Tegen groot luxe winkelcentrum Westfield gelegen.

Isolatie binnen in wat minder, in badkamer zijn door ventilatieschacht andere gasten te horen. In de slaapkamer zelf niet en het geluid van buiten uit is ook goed afgeschermd. Er was geen kluis in de kamer.

Prima kamer, geweldige locatie.

Fitness center waren apparaten bijna allemaal stuk.

De ligging is ideaal. Uitvalsbasis naar alle punten/hoeken van de stad.

Proper hotel, maar is zichtbaar verouderd, volledig afgeleefd en dat geeft een versleten indruk, dat komt niet fris over al is het op zich proper. Maar op sommige punten is het eenvoudigweg niet meer te onderhouden.

Noisy pipes, but I understand that they are currently making improvements.

Location. Literally steps away from the Westfield shoppig centre (Macy'S.. Bloomingdales and Nordstrom too from memory). The hotel was also really close to the cable car station and bus station. Overall a good value for money!!

Walls are thin.. Kinda noisy and we could hear noises in the other room.. Room is small and old..

Friendly, professional staff. Close to Amtrak bus pick-up, bart, muni lines we wanted. Reasonably quiet location. Near Westfield Shopping center, movie theatres, cable cars,and a handful of blocks to Union Square and Chinatown. Rooms are on the small side but had everything we needed. Our favorite place for breakfast was the Mason Cafe on Mason near O'Farrell. There is also a breakfast cafe next door to the hotel.

Service quality was very nice. I enjoyed staying at the very convenient area near to the Moscone convention center and shopping zone.

Although stayed in a room at the highest floor (8th), traffic noise was sometimes large.

Quite nice and clean, and quite budget-saving. Very helpful personnel.

We stopped over in San Francisco on our way to Cancun and the hotel was comfortable, quaint and within walking distance from areas of interest. Such as Union Square, the tram, lots of shops .... The Pickwick is in a great location.

The hotel is a bit tired and could do with an upgrade!

I was very impressed by the employee friendliness.

It was quite noisy at night (ambulances, etc) without any real noise protection. Other than that, I liked it a lot.

Comfort. Cofortable bed. Coffee and fridge in the room. Downtown location. Efficient, friendly service. Free wireless internet.

Noisy room. No mini bar. No glasses in room! Internet service intermittently slow.

Convenient to everything.

It was worn around the edges, room was small, bathroom too small and too expensive for the accommodations.
