The Pickwick Hotel San Francisco  

While the hotel is very old it has major character and was VERY clean. The location was outstanding; close to shopping/Union square, muni/bart stations, and multiple restaurants. I will stay here again.

The bathroom is pretty small and "older"

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent.

Excellent location, near main shops and transport.

Rooms are small and the room seemed cleaned but when you looked in detailed it was nos; there were hairs everywhere (sink, bed, bathroom).

This was a great choice. I enjoyed the staff and their hospitality. Leo was a great information source and helped me at a time in need. I became very ill and needed to go to the er one night, Leo was there with a taxi cab and throughout my stay asked me how I was doing. He is a wonderful caring person, and staff you have. I will definitely stay there again. I will plan a trip this summer with my family and will stay at the Pickwick. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Miguel A. Rivera

Shower was horribly water restricted... Toilet seat was nasty Elevators broke down I heard from others they got better deals on nicer hotels via other sites.

The location was fine and the architecture was nice. The service at the desk was professional too. They were nice enough to change my room to a quiet location.

This hotel is really worn. I am sure that in its heyday it was great, but not it is really in need of a refresh. It was also not very clean. Everything was really dusty and the carpet by my bed had a huge gross stain. I paid $269 a night, and this was certainly not up to that standard for cleanliness. Thank God my wife wasn't with me. She would have freaked. If they put about 10 times more attention into cleanliness it might be worth staying here, but as it is I would never return and felt a bit ripped off.

The staff is their crown jewel. Everyone took time to learn your name and you it when addressing you. (great touch) The lobby was quaint and quite nostalgic. The rooms were a little small but I was expecting that in a hotel of this age. All in all a great experience. We would stay there again. A 3 star hotel with 5 star staff!!!

Friendly, professional staff. Close to Amtrak bus pick-up, bart, muni lines we wanted. Reasonably quiet location. Near Westfield Shopping center, movie theatres, cable cars,and a handful of blocks to Union Square and Chinatown. Rooms are on the small side but had everything we needed. Our favorite place for breakfast was the Mason Cafe on Mason near O'Farrell. There is also a breakfast cafe next door to the hotel.

Nothing special, only the location is good close to moscone center and union square.

The Internet connection was the worst, and the wifi connection doesn't reach to the rooms especially in higher floors.

It was very central to all conveniences like shopping the transport system conference contre.. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Clean and bright .I will definitely stay there again

The showers could usr a bit of help with the water pressure not the same all the time during a shower

I loved the deep bathtub & plenty of hot water! Beds were very comfortable. Nice & quiet. Good location

I really missed having a light in the closet. I had to bring my suitcase to my bed to see what was in it. That is my only real complaint.
