parking - they say public parking $20 and when you get there its patron parking food was just ok- not great
Loved everything about Pier House !!
There was a cool snap, but that wasn't their fault !!
Location was central. We'll probably request a waterfront room next time though. Beautiful grounds and landscaping.
The staff at the desk messed up our check-out by not allocating our deposits as instructed. We're waiting for them to make it good.
The up grade was great
When we got there we had a room with a communal patio it was poor one nice word to the desk moved and up grade
They charge you to Park your self and don't tell you! You don't find out until you check out.
Bed, pillows, room layout great. Quiet, nice location to Duval Street.
Most of the staff seemed not happy at their job just doing it. New bartender, (Steve) friendly, helpful. Seemed to enjoy people.
AWESOME staff, great facilities, outstanding place!!
Location Beach pool hot tub bar And staff
Not told about parking fees Only rain head no hand held or shower head Ceiling fan noisy
Very Hot in a Key West
nice --- the beach, pool and breakfast ,
had some maintainance issues that have been overlooked obviously for a long time , for the $$ we been to key west several times and places at 1/2 their price were better maintained . plus they put us over a large wedding reception with no warning , that just isn't right ---- heres a good one, the bathroom sink was held up by an old 2x4 board that was just jammed under it--- mold and growth on porch made it unusable , which didn't matter cause the wedding was to loud to enjoy it
Location as hotel is in the main area of Key West. Quality and cleanliness of rooms. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, particularly on lobby desk. Conch train virtually next door for the main attractions.
Paying 21 dollars or so a day to leave the rental car in the Hotel car park.
Worth the money!
Our first time in the usa. We stayed at the Pier House on a room-only basis- just 3 nights costing a total of around $700 inc tax. For us this is very expensive but was chosen as the highlight of our trip because it is central and has a little private beach. On arrival we were told we were upgraded which sounded like brilliant news, and we have a really very lovely large room - but its in the carpark. The location has straightaway made us feel isolated and we haven't used any of the facilities of the hotel. Our room has all one could need apart from a couple of silly hi-spec design issues - shower is a fixed rainwater head so ladies will always get their hair wet, the sink is very high and this avge 5ft 5 woman can barely lean over it, and the tv is too far from the bed to watch or to use the remote! We should have the facilities of the spa here (another reason for selecting this hotel) and its located immediately below our room. Sadly it is closed for a refit but there was no prior notification and no alternative arrangements in place. Consequently the drilling provides the soundtrack as I type and the outlook from our room does not in any way reflect the amazing location of the hotel. No sea view here or anything nice to look at. We can't use the balcony as the work going on in spa immediately below us is too obtrusive and I don't want to look at a heap of filthy old toilets, rubbish or a dirty hot tub immediately below (or anywhere in my line of sight). Frankly I think it was poor judgement for the hotel to continue to use this room at this time. I have only made one request to staff during my stay - to lend me a drying rack as the grubby wooden balcony rails aren't suitable to dry wet white beach items. This has not been possible to fulfil. Moving on tomorrow to a series of jolly cheap 'n cheerful hotels along the Keys. Probably more 'us'!
Expensive. Pretentious. No soul and no service.
The location on the beach is hard to beat. The place seemed genuinely friendly with many long term guests, families as well as young couples. Great restaurant although we only ate there once.
The room had some minor issues, drip water from the A/C unit upstairs, some ants, a lot of ambient noise from the stairwell, ice maker and so on. Very minor stuff given the great location. But this is one of these situations where truly attentive service and great staff could have made the difference. Unfortunately, some of the staff seemed a bit curt and just seemed to be doung their jobs, in particular at the front desk. Management was nowhere to be seen, and for example they did not announce to guests that a lengthy fire alarm drill and the next day major work to the trees and greenery would be disturbances. Parking was costly and extra. No free water or free anything in sight. At the price we paid and given the shortcomings in the physical product we would have appreciated more thoroughly trained staff.
Room was in the garden but patio was facing the beach. Very close to everything but far enough away from everything.
Wife go stung by jellyfish on their beach. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and nicely furnished.
The air conditioner was very loud and noisy when it was cooling.
Location, room, beach...
Some of the pool boys could do with some customer service training. And running out of beach towels is simply unacceptable for a hotel in this price category.
Pool was nice. Beach staff was very helpful.
Small beach with a lot of jelly fish. A bit over priced for what you receive.
The hotel room was beautiful and clean. It has a warm inviting feel when you walk in. We also love the grounds. It's like walking through a tropical garden. The fact that there is a private beach and a swimming pool are the the main reason we stay here!
The proximity to the pier and Duval street.
Everything else !
Location, Charter Bar, private beach
The hotel is perfectly located close to all the tourist attractions, great restaurants and nightlife. It has beautiful facilities with very comfortable rooms, great pool and above all a GREAT private beach!
Location is good on very lively Duval street, rooms are big and comfortable, we also loved the garden, pool was area was small but ok
Very small beach, dirty sea, no umbrella on beach, air condition in the room was too noisy
Very relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff & beautiful property
