The most comfortable bed I have ever sleep on. Also there is a food court which include great restaurants
-Smell of horses outside -No free Wifi
Accommodations & staff were excellent.
Can't get a cup of coffee after 10 in the lounge. Rediculous !
The classic elegance of this storied hotel was surprisingly welcoming. The staff manage to convey a personal interest in your comfort that seemed sincere. Attention was lavish and prompt.
Unfortunately the Palm Court restaurant was undergoing renovation and access to the temporary dining area downstairs was very poorly marked. We finally found it our second day.
Location and the hotel
Luggage delivery to the room is slow. Requested extra luggage rack on the first day, had to call 7(!) times and after 6 hours the manager personally delivered it. Asked for another on the second day since our daughter was joining and again they again could not meet our request. After explaining the situation to a manager in the lobby, he responded very rudely. Though we love the hotel, probably will go to the Peninsula or Taj next time.
Hotel is beautiful, luxurious, the staff to include your own butler was incredible. Offer complimentary shoe shine service. They have one hour press for your clothes. This hotel is absolutely 5 star. We would never even consider staying at another hotel. Was our first trip to NY and were treated like royalty .
Late check-in Late laundry service Dirty room upon check-in
Heated Bathroom, luxury of room
Great location and character
Slow room service Poor F&B recommendations outside the hotel
Simply Great, nothing could be better
Comfortable bed Very quick check in and check out Large bathroom Adjustable light intensities (very good for people with vision difficulties especially in low lighting) Large bathroom
We loved every minute. Staff was very helpful with all questions and recommendations. Looking forward to returning.
TV set old are slow
Location is really good. Very nice staff, Iliya from concierge helped us very well!
Housekeeping staff. They throw out my shopping bag with things in it.
The room was fit for a queen. I don't know which was more opulent. The room itself or the bathroom with marble and gold faucet's. After complaining about the lack of service attention in the dinning room at breakfast the next 3 mornings gave us wonderful service.
I don't think I like the change in decor of the cocktail lounge area downstairs. Not in fitting with the building and lacks distinguishable class. I suppose taste and class comes not just from money.
The location was perfect. The rooms were impeccable and massive. You could really tell that The Plaza was once a regal place.
Unfortunately, the service leaves something to be desired.
Loved the pillows!!!!!! The size of the suite was lovely and the bathroom was amazing - stunning! A shame we didn't have a park view but we had already topped our budget. It was a special occasion for us and the Plaza staff helped make it perfect. Would love to stay again but it's way out of our price range unfortunately.
The snooty guests!! Hotel was beyond fabulous.
Location Service levels Front desk Concierge
Bed and pillows too soft No separate shower in bathroom No tea/coffee facilities in room
Location and staff were very good and the food in the food hall was very good.
No complimentary tea and coffee in the room. Drinks are very over priced in the hotel bars. No free Wifi which was very disappointing given the money it costs to stay here.
We are a young couple and came for our honeymoon for five nights from 8 May 2014. Words cannot express what an amazing hotel this is. The best hotel location in New York. All the staff we met were extremely helpful and would do anything for you. We stayed in a rose suite on the 12th floor and the room was out of this world, everything was perfection and it was immaculately clean; the turndown service in the evening was exceptional. We really enjoyed drinking in the champagne bar in the lobby and also upstairs in the Rose club where they had live jazz a few nights. Unfortunately the oak room was being refurbished so we were unable to access that. One of the highlights was my husband and I sitting in the Rose club casually sipping a cocktail when I turned around and saw Brad Pitt stood 3 feet behind me nearly had a heart attack!! We were then told by the Barman that Hugh Jackman was upstairs being interviewed for his X-Men movie and then also told by the doorman that Leonardo DiCaprio had only stayed there10 days before. Wow, what a place to stay!! After being out every evening we'd walk the balmy streets up to the Plaza to have a cocktail before going to bed it was the most magical walk, the city was lit up and the Plaza just look beautiful, you walk up those red carpeted steps in to the gold revolving door into the stunning lobby its just all perfect, so magical and romantic. If in doubt, don't, just book it. It was also very handy having the Plaza food hall just downstairs which served beautiful types of food all throughout the day. We hope to go back one day and experience the magical hotel all over again.
the bed is great
