My daughter and I shared a bunk bedroom. It was actually spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The rooftop bar was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to all and will definitely stay there again.
Modern bath, pleasant design of furnitures, windows could be opened.
AC could apparently not be turned off completely, I always had a flow of air against my head while sleeping, which felt uncomfortable. Extremely cooled down hallways.
The room was really clean and the wifi was really good. The staffs were really friendly and helpful.
There is no curtains in the room, sometimes I want to open the blinds but do not wish to be seen by the people from the opposite building.
Location, hotel decor, great restaurant and rooftop bar. Nice vibe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was always clean.
Room was small but didn't spend too much time there.
location to grand central great...nice rooftop bar, friendly staff at front desk
no hot water when using bathroom faucet. was able to figure it out in shower, so thought it would work the same way, but no hot water came out in sink. also, had understood that checkout was 12:00 noon, however, was bothered by housekeeping 2 separate times just shortly after 11:00 knocking on the door almost "encouraging" us to get going. Said "we'll be right out" to her but minutes later she knocked again.
The location, the cleanliness, the wi-fi, the staff.
The room was a bit too narrow.
Location close to metro and restaurants All you need on a tiny surface Relaxed atmosphere
Technical noises (airco) leading to a room change, with unexpected and not announced rate increase!
Location, facilities, cleanliness
Location Staff Cleanliness Value Wifi
Small room (i'm solo in double room) no way the room would fit 2 people with 2 carry on bags.
Excellent location, staff & rooftop bar!
Room is tiny, not enough room for cases but clean & functional.
The staff was nice, the room clean, and the margaritas in the downstairs bar were strong..
The room was tiny, as was the bathroom. It was like being on a ferry boat.
-How comfortable the beds were -The free WiFi connection that was available -The shower was very powerful, and the free available shampoo and conditions were good -The location is great, about 15 minutes walk from Times Square, and 5 minutes away from Grand Central -The decor and style were attractive -The bar always looked packed, and seemed to have a good atmosphere (unfortunately we were too young to drink in it) -Ideal for couples
-No hot tap available on the sink -A mini fridge or some drink facility in the room would have been good -There isn't much privacy when using the toilet, due to the opaque sliding door
good in the city center, a nice bar in the hotel for young people, modle hotel.
the room is very small, only for sleeping. you can think about the cabin of sleeping train.
Location is very good. Walking distance to Grand Central and other sights in Manhattan even Time Square. Nice rooftop terrace at 17th floor where we had our room. It is a lively bar with a view at night very crowded as well as the ground floor but caused no problem. Free wifi.
Small room, noisy airconditioner. Smell in the room. Very basic breakfast for extra cost not value for money.
Location Value for money
Poor isolated structure Ppl talked too loud outside of their rooms The noise from the streets
Wet floor in front of the shower
location ++ The bed and room in general was bigger than I saw in the pictures when I made reservation. Easy access to a printer connected to an iPad in the lobby for free use. It comes handy to quickly print tickets etc. Also there's always someone at the concierge to help you make any reservations you want. Rooftop bar with great views of the surrounding skyscrapers. The cocktails there were not that good though. Overall it was a good value for money for solo traveler. A bit on the expensive side, but there are no cheap hotels in the centre of Manhattan.
I had a single room with private bath. This room had the most horrific shower (immovable) which was right in the centre of the roof of the tiny shower area. I couldn't find any way to lower the water pressure (water felt like sharp blade). I was told during check out that they can lower the pressure for me next time.. who knows. The shower curtain keep moving into the small shower area also because of the pressure. It would be better to put a glass cabinet instead. The towels were a bit too worn out on all the days and on one of the days the bathroom was not cleaned properly.
The queen room was actually more roomy than I expected & the bed was so comfy! The staff was extremely friendly & helpful! Close proximity to Grand Central is a bonus! Will definitely stay here again!
I only wish I could have had coffee readily available in the mornings but it's a quick walk around the corner for coffee.
Very small room
We stayed in a Queen Room with my girlfriend * very casual room with minimalistic design, I felt myself special when i got in to the room with my girlfriend * the room is big enough for our 3 big bags, we put 2 of them onto ground but hey at least we have some space for them
* bathroom is minimalist, but have a poor design, as everybody already said when you are taking shower you need to be sure nothing on the floor even if they are outside of the shower area and it is pretty hard because there is no hang close around, only thing you have is the toilet seat cover * there is no wardrobe/cabinet in the room, only a clothes-hanger uncovered, actually this didn't bother me as it is suitable with the minimalistic (did i say this before:) design of the room, but my girlfriend was not happy with that.
Stayed here for a couple of nights by myself and loved it. It's so funky- well designed and compact, with everything you need. TV had good stations, there was complimentary WiFi (a change from my previous hotel!) and a brilliant bar/ restaurant. I walked everywhere- after starting my day with their delicious coffee. Staff were lovely- particularly Stevie- who arranged my airport shuttle, stored my luggage and gave me a good recommendation on where to spend my last couple of hours in NY! I would definitely recommend Pod 39.
The breakfast selection wasn't the best I've ever had but the food was still good. Pastries were really good- there just wasn't a huge amount to choose from.
The fun atmosphere, and the location was good, not too far from the action. The food in Salvation Taco was great! We didn't spend time at the rooftop bar but it looked like a really popular place to enjoy the sunset!
The shower area did not allow much privacy. My 15 year old was mortified to use the bathroom with frosted glass. I didn't think it was too bad, but I don't think I could convince her to try that again any time soon.
all of the above.....great customer service all around
see thru bathroom glass......awkward for mom and son.had to leave room so each other could have privacy.
The bed and the nice hot shower. The area and surroundings. Access to public transport.
Check-in people and poor lounge.
