location, rooftop bar, shower
not my first stay, happy with the location and hotel staff.
room is becoming run down. carpet was torn, the mirror in the bathroom had stains due to water/humidity. the window almost fell off when i opened it. the place begins showing signs of neglect, unfortunately.
The room was clean and appointed just right for all your basic needs. The bed was comfortable enough. Nice flat screen TV. Lovely little bathroom with all the needed toiletries. Loved free wifi, nice touch! Location was great!
A bit tight for two travelers including our separate luggage, but totally doable. Would have liked a couple ore pillows and a vending machine for bottled water and drinks.
Excellent location in Manhattan. Room size was a bit small but still would recommend this hotel to anyone that doesn't want to spend a lot.
Restaurant, room size
Convenient location, good price, nice staff
Did not like much the noisy and dark restaurant and so-so food (when needing sustance at the end of a long working day) or the absence of an expresso in the morning!
Clean small comfortable room in Manhattan,at a reasonable (for New York) price.
Air conditioning in the room was noisy. Thin walls so you could hear the water pipes, lifts, and conversations in the corridor when people get back from a late night out!
Good shower Efficient use of space Location Rooftop bar Proximity To salvation taco
Price - but it's manhattan "Cosy" rooms - see above
- near Grand Central Station - very clean - cool Bar/Restaurant - very fair price for NYC - fast Wifi
Room is small, but this is normal in NYC
The staff were all very friendly and the location was great. Very modern, clean rooms.
The room was very small, we expected this in New York though. The only real issue was the fact that the bathroom has frosted glass walls and a door so it was a little awkward as I travelled with a friend.
- Friendly staff - Small, but comfortable rooms - Very clean - Quiet room as requested - Good location, not far from metrostation, Times Square, Busstation,.. - Free internetconnection
- Little or no information about the hotelfacilities. Wasn't informed about the breakfast, lunch or other meals, so I ate outside the hotel most of the time. - The rooftopbar and the café was visited by people from outside the hotel, which made it a little bit crowded in the evening.
The value for the money was a huge bonus, but I arrived with some uncertainty. I was very impressed with the atmosphere and the cleanliness and efficiency of the room. The bed was also very comfortable and I slept well for the two days that I was there. Great experience and would do it again.
The halls were a little dark and narrow and took me a bit to get used to. It also took me a while to get used to the size of the room. By the second day, it felt as though I was staying in a bedroom and I felt cozy. The only real complaint I have, although minor is that I couldn't adjust the thermostat in my room. I turned up the heat, but the temperature never changed and seemed to be pushing cold air on me. It was very cold getting ready in the morning.
Great location - close to central station but far away enough from the craziness of midtown/Times Square Friendly staff at hotel and bar/restaurant Great for a solo traveller
Top of bed was facing middle of the room, which can be annoying with pillows falling off the end of the bed.
The location is excellent, very close to grand central, 5th Avenue, Empire state building etc! The rooftop bar is also fantastic! The view is amazing and it's so relaxing there! The entire hotel is very clean and well presented, with the reception are relaxed and friendly. The downstairs bar/ restaurant is great for meeting new people and the drinks are delicious! The majority of the staff are helpful and there are always plenty of staff around. The concierge are also great for booking transfers to the airport etc. I'd defiantly recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to visit NYC!
Firstly, the room price doesn't include the city tax which is something to watch out for (it worked out about $110 for a 4 night stay)! This wasn't pointed out to us when we checked in, in fact the cost was never mentioned to us until we asked the next day. The rooms are quite small but that's to be expected and is compensated for the facilities and location! The only thing I didn't like about the rooms is that the bathroom only has frosted glass meaning you can see though it. This is a little annoying when you're travelling with a friend! These are all small grumbles though and we still had a fantastic time!
We got lucky and had a room with two views outside! From Texas so we like to see out.
With no closet, it would be nice to hace some clothes hooks around the bed area
The Location meant we were never too far from any of the main attractions the subway and Central Train Station. The staff were helpful at all times which was great as this was our first time in New York.
The room was a little bit small but as you are out most of the time we got used to it.
Good midtown location. Rooms are small but comfortable.
rooms are very small
If you don't mind walking a block or two to Times Square, this hotel is very well located for all your Broadway Show needs - just East of Lexington. All Pod hotels have small rooms, but we did not miss the extra carpet. We had a Queen Room and it was fine. Cases go under the bed, plenty of room for hanging stuff up, neat little desk and wall mounted TV. Bathroom actually a good size for a small room, with nice hot shower. We had a corner room so plenty of light. Roof top bar has excellent views of Chrysler and Empire, as we'll as the East River. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Location- ideal for everything Front desk Rooftop bar
Small room- but the location more than made up for it, plus we knew the rooms were small when we booked, so not really a negative..
Modern design, excellent location
I really liked the location, the cosiness of the little pods, a great hip vibr throughout the hotel, itsrestaurant and bars, and an excellent service overall. Will come back!
The storage under the bed does not fit big bags. It should be expanded a bit if possible.
Where is in Manhattan can you find (1) a centrally-located hotel with (2) all the basics and (3) none of the expensive thrills and that (4) has a totally cool feel to it. The cleanliness of the bathrooms is impressive. The staff is unfailingly welcoming.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, value for money, fast free internet, small compact rooms with everything you need.
We only used the room for sleeping so it didn't matter that it was so small. If you are looking to spread out then this may not be the best place. Very well located, secure and well priced, can't be faulted!
The bar and restaurant were very expensive but if there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.
Location;;central 5-7 minutes walk from empire state building/ fifth avenue
Very small room. bathroom had a sliding glass door; which did not provided much privacy. I would recommend living a bit further away for the same price and have a decent room. I think you pay a lot for the location of this hotel compromising comfort.
