The concierge staff was very helpful, check in and check out was easy, the room we got was much bigger than the pictures had shown
No view whatsoever, it was a brick wall. Requested an iron and it took us 2 calls to finally get one. Waiting for elevator was a little long since one was not functioning.
despite the room was small it was clean, modern and well equipped. the stuff was friendly and very helpful. the location is very good, only 15 minutes walk to the times square and 5 minutes from grand central station.
Very good wifi connection
The furniture was very minimalistic: no closet, no drawers, no big mirror and the rooms are very small. It can be nice for a short stay but for a week is not very comfortable.
Would be fine for students on a budget
Common facilities non existent. Noisy air con in room. Charmless design
The room was new and well design. The staff was great and so was the atmospher
Very very small room for 250$ but i guess this is new york
we stayed 7 days ans enjoyed everyone of them. Great location , tiny but very clean and nice room. Top roof amazing, staff smiling and cool
The location was prime, the room had everything we needed and was kept exceptionally clean by the staff. I very much liked the style of the hotel&was excited it had a restaurant and bar on site.
Our interactions with the bar/restaurant staff let the whole experience down - at the roof top bar they were lackluster (to the point of giving off a depressive feel). The staff made no attempts to engage/interact with us,and after charging us 22 dollars just decided to keep the money from a 30 and not give us back our change for us tp decide on a tip amount..I found this very rude. The staff downstairs were no better, on a seperate occassion serving our party a sizeable order of drinks at 11.40pm,calling last orders at 11.45pm for 12am,and rudely rushing us out of the bar, causing us to leave most of our round - pretty appauling behaviour, and the sole reason qw will not be staying again or recommending to friends.
The lobby bar and the rooftop bar are very nice
The rooms are very very very small
Fantastic shower Great Bed Good Location (two blocks from Grand Central Station) Fantastic Staff (Great Concierge Service!) Great Rooftop bar!
Room is way too small for the price Bathroom is not isolated from the room. Yeah...that. Not perfect location if it happens to rain or snow, so the price should reflect that.
I liked that I could open the Windows to let in some fresh air after taking a shower. Good, safe location around the corner form Grand Central.
It was a really small room. OK for one person with a carry-on suitcase but cannot see how you would fit in two people.
Very close to a lot of spots Rooftop bar Small but fine room ESB-look from our window Breakfast (Bagel and Coffee 4$)
Room beside elevator - a little bit noisy
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, on arrival the staff were very friendly and informative, the rooms are very clean. There is a great rooftop bar overlooking the city and a funky bar on the ground floor. The location is perfect 5 minutes from Central Station and opposite the station entrance is a great diner that does excellent breakfasts. It’s not a luxurious hotel but perfect for city breaks as we were hardly in our rooms in the day.
The only picky thing I can comment on is the bathroom door is a sliding smoky glass door that’s not very private when sharing a room with someone else however that’s the only critique I can comment.
Good decor. Nice bars. Friendly staff. Great location
Tiny tiny rooms. Zero wardrobe space. Very expensive for no facilities.
Good location for us: quieter street than many, about 20 min. walk from Times Square and close to other attractions. We enjoy walking so prefer to be a little off the beaten track - particularly if it means the locality is a little quieter - and this met the bill admirably. Room was small but you get what you pay for in NYC and we only slept there so it made no difference to us - why would you want to spend time in your room when you are in NYC anyway (well if you are tourists)? Room was very clean so got the thumbs up from the wife so I'm happy. Definitely would stay there again.
See through bathroom door
Loved the location. 39th/Lex. Tough to beat. 3 blocks to GCT, 5 blocks to 34th Street, a block from Park Avenue. Can't beat it. Unless you're visiting somebody in Brooklyn, of course. Hotel was fine. Room was tiny, but that's the gimmick. Saturday night you could hear people partying on the rooftop bar until all hours, which was not ideal...in my younger days I would have been the one making the noise. Sunday/Monday quiet as can be. It was the most affordable place I could find. If you can live with a shoebox of a hotel room for your trip, are looking for an affordable option, then this is the place for you.
For the most part, the place was great. No complaints.
Location, rooftop terrace, staff friendliness, wifi, food in taco restaurant, room isolation and hygiene
Rooms are really small (but very cleverly designed), restaurant's and rooftop bar's prices are high (even for Manhattan)
Near to subway, clean room and friendly staff. Recommended!
This hotel has everything a solo business traveler needs: a comfortable bed, excellent wifi, and a convenient location. I liked the simple, efficient room design, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food at Salvation Taco was good too!
Travelers who like hanging around in their hotel room might prefer more space. They should be aware too that not all rooms have a private bathroom.
Great location. Relatively not expansive in N.Y standarts. Clean ,modern.
A little too noisy at night. Rooms are small -as expected in hotels in this city.
It was in a perfect location and very clean.
That it's expensive but in New York is almost impossible to find a cheap place to sleep.
the ping pong tables in the bar are super fun. A fue minutes from grand central
we couldnt get to the roof top even as guest. That was disappointing.
Wifi is extremely fast! TV is extremely great! Toilet-flushing is extremely environmental!
If the bed lamp on the wall could switch on when the other lights were off, it would be better.
Buzzy roof top open air bar with grat views of the Chrysler ( ?) building serving amazing cocktails
It was clean. Friendly. Good atmosphere.
