The price is good for what you get. It's a nice central location and close to many busstops to go anywhere you want.
There is only one shower per floor. It can be very noisy outside & our heater was broken ans constantly on max.
The staff was very kind, the breakfast was good and the facilities clean.
The location is not as safe, there are a lot of homeless people around.
How much I get for my buck (compared to other very seedy and more expensive hotels in that vicinity).
Lack of noise control to other guest...(loud music, partying , Raging ) until 5:00am.
The place is very clean and new. They even use keycards instead of keys. Napkins were fresh, room was nice. Internet is fast and they even serve breakfast! I really enjoyed my stay and would try to book this place again.
I can't really remember anything bad. Well, it's not the most expensive place, so bathrooms are shared, but they are very clean and convenient.
It is close to bus stops and it is close to a lot of stores.
It is not safe to go out at night.
The staff was nice and polite. The breakfast was OK.
the hotel is located at a narrow backstreet. The moist moldy smell came right to your face when you opened the room door. The panoramic window is non-openable. At night, a cold bed and street noise kept you awake for quite a while. The shared bathroom was not pleasant as well. Anyway, choose another place to stay.
Fair price with breakfast provided. Can make new friend with young travelers from all over the world.
Stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes.
Breakfast is good and it's a fair option if you have a short budget
Take into account that the hostel is located in one of the dangerous places in the city.
Really convenient ! And the staff are really friendly.
Sometimes it is nosiy on the street, and felt a little unsafe when walking in the evening.
Do not stay! Staff is super rude, and rooms have roaches. Not to mention it is so loud, you won't be able to sleep. This entire place smells of urine?!?
It is in a good place...close to market but the streets around there could be a little bit creepy, But the price is great.
weird and crazy people around the place.
Staffs were nice & breakfast was good.
Rooms was so smelly. The heater was broken. I moved to another toom and still the heater was not functioning. The location was pretty sketchy.
The hotel room was fine, it had a mini fridge and TV.
the area isn't for everyone especially solo travellers as there is a lot of homeless/ people on the street. But it's a short walk to the Main Street with shopping.
Well because of a really good sale the price was right for short notice. The staff for genuinely nice and the room was clean.
Area where this was seemed quite overrun with homeless and street people. When we arrive the heat was way up and I had to open the window to get the stale air out but it was very loud outside with people talking an from the street, I could have dealt with normal street noise but it sounded like a meeting of drug dealers right outside. We were originally going to stay three days but cut it short a night just so we could get out of this area.
Cheap, pretty clean, private room, quiet, close to BART (both Civic Center and Powell), good free breakfast
For the price, nothing
Free wifi, breakfast, and very friendly staff.
Hotel is located in a shady neighbourhood although very close to downtown. The rooms are not soundproof. I recommed getting earplugs.
This hostel is located in the worst part of town. it is not only frightening, but actually DANGEROUS, to walk to and from at any time of the day. the pimps, dealers, drug addicts and homeless surrounding the hostel will cloud and actually ruin your experience of the city. No kidding, I have tried it on my skin. :(
Drinking water whole day and tea and coffe whole day for free. Delicious breakfast with fruits and american toasts.
We didn't get a towel, the bed was small for two persons (we weren't a couple),but we managed it:)
This hotel is super cheap. However the room, and inside the building are clean so it was fine for me.
I got a room on 4th floor first, when I opened the door, I found the bed stood up. There was no bed sheet. I asked the staff and he changed the room, but same thing happened. Again I got a different room on 2nd floor, finally the room was fine. Also, sometimes I the room card didn't work because room cards were recyclable cards. Rooms were really small and it was loud outside at night.
free breakfasts friendly staff clean rooms
showers run out of hot water room key deactivates to easily
no bathroom and shower room
- 8 min walk to downtown LA/ shops/ trains - Good price
- Shared bathrooms were pretty old and could do with upgrades - Included breakfast is pretty basic (toast, porridge, tea, coffee)
Very convenient location, close to all major attractions (transportation). Very friendly staff, responsible to every request. Nice breakfast with all you need (cereal, toast, good coffee). Clean facilities. Comfortable room & soft bed. Definitely value for the money spent!
Just one shower for the whole floor which gets busy sometimes.
Central Location, nice staff, clean, best price we could get in SF
Area is not really safe. Maybe not perfect for every traveller
Close to the downtown. Typical hostel breakfast, with some fruit.
The area has a lot of homeless, But don't worry! This is San Francisco!
