Free wifi, breakfast, and very friendly staff.
Hotel is located in a shady neighbourhood although very close to downtown. The rooms are not soundproof. I recommed getting earplugs.
This hostel is located in the worst part of town. it is not only frightening, but actually DANGEROUS, to walk to and from at any time of the day. the pimps, dealers, drug addicts and homeless surrounding the hostel will cloud and actually ruin your experience of the city. No kidding, I have tried it on my skin. :(
Drinking water whole day and tea and coffe whole day for free. Delicious breakfast with fruits and american toasts.
We didn't get a towel, the bed was small for two persons (we weren't a couple),but we managed it:)
This hotel is super cheap. However the room, and inside the building are clean so it was fine for me.
I got a room on 4th floor first, when I opened the door, I found the bed stood up. There was no bed sheet. I asked the staff and he changed the room, but same thing happened. Again I got a different room on 2nd floor, finally the room was fine. Also, sometimes I the room card didn't work because room cards were recyclable cards. Rooms were really small and it was loud outside at night.
free breakfasts friendly staff clean rooms
showers run out of hot water room key deactivates to easily
no bathroom and shower room
- 8 min walk to downtown LA/ shops/ trains - Good price
- Shared bathrooms were pretty old and could do with upgrades - Included breakfast is pretty basic (toast, porridge, tea, coffee)
Very convenient location, close to all major attractions (transportation). Very friendly staff, responsible to every request. Nice breakfast with all you need (cereal, toast, good coffee). Clean facilities. Comfortable room & soft bed. Definitely value for the money spent!
Just one shower for the whole floor which gets busy sometimes.
Central Location, nice staff, clean, best price we could get in SF
Area is not really safe. Maybe not perfect for every traveller
Close to the downtown. Typical hostel breakfast, with some fruit.
The area has a lot of homeless, But don't worry! This is San Francisco!
Breakfast is good:)
Hostel is old building, so it is inconvenient to open and close door.
Loved having my own room; a rare treat in a San Francisco hostel. Great staff, helpful and friendly. Hot water and coffee downstairs. A working elevator. International guests. Not posh, but safe and clean. Bathrooms for solo users. Oh, and hearing an opera singer practicing arias nearby one morning!
More people in really rough condition in the Tenderloin than I remembered; I felt rather uneasy walking to and from the Pontiac, but nobody bothered me directly. The (historic) window mechanisms weren't functional, so I had to prop up the window with a piece of wood to get some air. Would have preferred an en suite bath but that's asking a lot for an affordable place to sleep in the City.
Good price for a hotel located in downtown San Francisco. Room and bath areas were clean and tidy. Reception was friendly and helpful.
Located in a dicey part of the city with a lot of dregs and bums hanging about. Not a good environment for ladies or if you have children with you.
i like how clean the establishment was and how friendly the staff was. i also like the fact that area that the hotel & hostel was located was also clean and not alot of riff raff running around.
The room was OK. Staff also helpful.
The neighborhood was really bad. I travelled alone and didn't walk there after dark.
no breakfast option for celiac diet
The Stuff is very helpful and professional. The coffee at breakfast was perfect.
Rooms are noisy, the shared facilities are cleaned only once during the day, the neighbourhood where the hotel is, is very poor.
We left one night earlier. The stuff told us there won't be any refund for that night, we accepted that as we just wanted to leave this pleace. After all my credit card was credited with the about for the last night, that was nice surpprise.
Awfull, doggy district, tons of homeless, smell of pee on the street Rooms do not smell well No breakfast No parking Very noisy form the street in the night
Pro: good location, breakfast was OK, with fi was good, ,most of the staff were quite helpful except for one grumpy elderly staff There were several convenience stores which was helpful and a number of eateries nearby
Sleazy neighborhood, lots of homeless people but they don't bother you
Not far from nice areas even though you have to pass true some unsafe blocks
The location was no far from some interesting places on the city but the hotel is located in a very dangerous area. You must be careful about going around at night times.
It's located central to the city. Clean room. Very nice and helpfull staff. Reception is open 24 hours and they arrange transport to the airport.
There are no bathrooms in the room. Thats not a big deal, but there are only 2 shared bathrooms at one floor. To many people for one shower. Also the bed was realy small. The hotel is located in an area with a lot of homeless people. Not theatened, but still...
Just the price...it's good!
The bathroom always dirty...and the staff forgot clean my room when I requested one day before...too bad!
Cheap. Good Wifi.
Clean and simple homely environment Courteous staff Good complimentary breakfast Rest rooms quite clean
Walking at night safe from 7th street but not 6th street. Lack of intercom service to reception.
Hosting in San Francisco is precious then the cost was honest but the installations are actually very precarious ... the staff is very kind and helpful.
the neighborhood where is located ... depending on the time scares!
