Rooms were excellent with good access to the trolley. Nice well appointed family run establishment. Blind Pelican restaurant (1 block away) is great for boiled crawfish. Nothing to mention

We stayed in the Queen Anne House, which was one of several buildings in the hotel. It was a beautiful old house of about 7-9 rooms and was wonderful.. The room and bathroom were very large and clean. It was quiet and beautifully decorated with a 4-poster bed, couch, desk and a small balcony.(not sure if all rooms have balconies). The breakfast was adequate and served in a building across the street. It was nice to eat outside in the courtyard when the weather was nice. We didn't have a car so it was very convenient to have the St. Charles Street Car Line one block away for access to the Garden District and French Quarter. There were also restaurants within walking distance and Magazine Street, with wonderful shopping was four blocks away. It was nice to stay in something different than a chain hotel and we enjoyed our stay very much.

The hotel was very charming. It was located close to the streetcar line on St. Charles Avenue. It's on a busy street and there was a lot of traffic passing by at night. But certainly not enough to be disturbed with.

We have stayed there several times and will continue to stay there. Location is great. Quaint, beautiful...get the real no feel. My only complaint (small) is that they do not allow check-in before 4:00pm.

Good location close to the tram. Good parking and near local restaurants. Room not ready until half an hour after bookin time which was quite late at 4pm anyway. Wireless didn't work on the second day.

We loved the handy location in the Garden district with easy access to downtown and the French quarter. Free parking was a bonus and it was only two minutes from the freeway. The rooms had real old world character whilst retaining all modern conveniences. The continental breakfast was in keeping with other establishments we stayed in and they used real crockery and cutlery instead of the awful plastic and styrene The four post bed blocked the view to the tv

hotel is located in a peaceful area. Magazine Street with lots of restaurants (I'd like to reccomend "Nirvana", indian cousine) is near. Free parking and wi-fi are large pluses. The room was light (with 2 windows), clean and convinient.

The superior queen room that we booked was lovely, it overlooked the street with a small balcony big enough for a chair. The Oaks was away from the main building, the Prytania Park, and therefore was quiet with not much coming and going. The breakfast for the weekend was downstairs at the Oak and was an adequate continental/starter breakfast. The bed did shake a little when the traffic went past at business hour in the mornings but it was only to be expected as it is an old building. The Oaks and the Queen Anne buildings were lovely and we were so glad to be there and not at the Park where most of the rooms didn't look onto anything. The weekday 'breakfasts' were at the Park across the road but they were very poor.

We loved its charm and design. It had a classic but modern feel. I loved that there was a fireplace in the bathroom. Very romantic setting. We had trouble leaving our room every day. Bed was also very comfortable, and AC was pumping ice cold air. It was great experience and we highly recommend to all!!! Nothing

This hotel is perfect if you don't want to be right in the middle of busy New Orleans. Access to the center is easy with the street car located about 500 meters on St. Charles Street. The area is surrounded by restaurants and bars so you will have plenty of choices for food or hang out spots. The room was very cosy and comfortable. I really liked the Prytania. I will stay there again if I get back to New Orleans. Continental breakfast was served outside but not many tables were available to sit and eat. Many people took their tray back to their rooms but for those staying at Prytania oaks which is around the corner from the main building where breakfast is served, it was a bit of a challenge.

What I liked about Prytania Oaks was the location.. We felt like we were living right in the neighborhood. We walked to St. Charles and took advantage of the restaurants, churches and businesses located along St. Charles & the Garden district. Also, we could hop on the Streetcars to take us to the Quarter, Canal St., Cemetaries, etc. Wel liked the free auto parking in parking lot next to location. The maid kept leaving our door unlocked is the only complaint I have. Fortunately, no one entered our room.
