The Prytania Park Hotel    

I loved the charm of the hotel. The rooms were unexpectedly unique and fun and the walkways amazing.

Breakfast seating could be better.

Great, quiet location in the Garden District. Close to restaurants on St. Charles, and also close to the trolley into the Quarter. Also close to Magazine St. Also has free onsite parking(rare in N.O.).

Proximity to St.Charles streetcar (less than 1 block)...and cost for senior citizens, 40 cents!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and grounds were tidy.

Difficult to find entrance

The cleanliness. The bed and sheets were clean. It was quaint.

Difficult to find. Called and asked for directions and didn't get any help. I was 1-2 exits away and was told they didn't know where I was and that I was not even close when in actuality I was; and yes I had directions from MapQuest but they weren't helpful and had me exit too soon.

Proximity to the St. Charles Streetcar which could take us to the French Quarter or let us explore the Garden District with its beautiful older mansions, parks, cemeteries and interesting restaurants away from the high tourist areas. The two-story loft room was intersting and had a fridge and microwave.

There are no elevators making hauling our luggage difficult. The loft room, while quaint, was tiny, the spiral staircase placed in an awkward location. While the bathroom was clean, it needed renovating.

Close to dinning, street car access, free parking, friendly staff!

It was a small hotel in a neighborhood one block from the St Charles Streetcar. It is an old building, with gently used charm. It is not shiney and new; we enjoyed the ambiance and feeling of old New Orleans. Breakfast was adequate. Linens and bathroom were clean. We stayed two nights before catching a cruise. We would stay again.

Nothing, it was what we were looking for.

The smoking by other guests in the corridors between rooms made me feel uncomfortable. Was a little noisy from movement of guests upstairs. Large puddles of water in front of room.

Quiet location, and very walkable - Less than 30 minutes to reach the French Quarter by foot.

The outside breakfast, in a windy and cold morning it's not a good idea. Perhaps sounds more romantic in spring, not in the winter.

There was a family with had young children that stayed in the room above mine that ran back and forth on the floor which became very loud and disturbing. But I called the front desk about the issue and they imediatly resolved the problem.

Nice and clean, staff very freindly and helpful. Only problem was no wake up call for the morning we had to catch a cab to the airport at 5:30 am. With only a curse I didn't see that from the desk person when we checked out. This wouldn't stop us from staying again.

All was fine

Great location, close to restaurants(including emerils delmonico) Good neighborhood for walking to see the classic New Orleans architecture. Right on the trolley line for easy access to downtown/french quarter etc...great price for a cute hotel.

Typical cheap continental breakfast with nothing fresh

The hotel was clean, the rooms were clean. The staff was a little stand offish at times.

Proximity to the convention center, easy walking distance

The location is great for a visit to New Orleans. Although a lot of roads works and remedial repair to the Street Car System meant St. Charles street car was not operating. Free Parking Free breakfast and free Wi-Fi

The hotel is tired needs decorating. The room was not up the the standards we found elsewhere in the U.S.A. even in much cheaper hotels. The carpet was sticky. The room could have been cleaner and should have been cleaner. The house keeping was poor they did little more than make the bed. The bathroom was not cleaned properly and would have been a problem if we had not been the only persons using it. All in all disappointing. Poor value for the price charged.

We liked the neighborhood location with an easy walk to streetcar/bus for ride to other parts of the city. There are many excellent restaurants within a couple of blocks. The hotel is quiet and comfortable with a very friendly and helpful staff who made us feel right at home. We will stay at the Prytania Park Hotel again.
