Didn't realize check-in was at the property around the corner, could have had taxi drop me off at the lobby. A bit of a walk from convention center.
Loved the decor, felt like I traveled back in time! Absolutely charming and comfortable. High ceilings and period furniture!
reception and breakfast is at two other locations, although it is just a very short walk, could be a hassle for some People.
I loved the beautiful house, and my room was just great! It was huge, With high ceilings and large Windows; a real "old era" feel, and in a Nice area - Close to St Charles Avenue With many good restaurants and streetcart. Friendly People at reception, very helpful! recommended some restaurants in the area and let me use the internet in reception long time after check-out. Friendly!
I wish breakfast was more varied as I was,not able to get out
I spent most of my visit in the room due to accident while traveleng and it was so cheerful and comfortable.
Front steps very steep and difficult to manage with luggage. There is a handicap ramp at rear of building that allows easy access that I wasn't informed about.
Close to trolley car line. Staff very informative about area.
The only downfall was the extended continental breakfast. Not to many options. However, there are plenty of great places very close by. Avenue Cafe and The Irish House both on St. Charles were awesome.
Our room was huge with one of the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. It was quiet, cozy and had such wonderful NOLA charm. We would definitely stay there again. Cheers!!
The location was quiet and the access to the Charles street streetcar was easy. We were 15 minutes from the quarter and within walking distance to the WWII museum.
Lack of communication by hotel staff about arrival destination…if you go there, you need to go to the Pyrtania Hotel and check in, then go to the bed and breakfast. This can be an issue if you have luggage. A rude security guard was surly with our Uber car driver who parked in front of the Queen Anne to let us off. He then was following us to the hotel and back again to the location. The first housekeeper said she would report our broken microwave, but did not do so. The hotel staff would not call a cab for us. The morning we were leaving we were locked out of our room an hour before checkout time and could not get the desk attendant on the phone…walked over there and found her on the phone with a relative talking about shopping. She claimed she never saw a call coming in from us, but it was on my phone. I know everyone is laid back in nola ….but, I think they should pay their employees more and hire and train better staff. However, the breakfast staff was an exception…very gracious. Finally, the breakfast was all sugar…sweet rolls, sweetened cereals, sweetened yogurt, sweetened fruit cups. No fresh fruit, no local pastries, frozen waffles. Just boiled eggs, some fresh fruit, cheese, and some local bread/pastries and some unsweetened Cherrios or oatmeal and real grits (not instant!) would be great!
Comfortable beds, clean, great access to convention center while being in a neighborhood. Good restaurants nearby. Good access to streetcars/busses. Good coffee. Gracious breakfast staff. Manager followed through with the new microwave as promised.
The breakfast was just okay.
The room was very spacious & comfortable.
The bed was amazing. Very high and very very comfortable. The staff were friendly. The house (mansion) was lovely inside and out. Very short distance to streetcar which took you to Canal Street at one end and well past Audoban Park at the other
Extremely basic breakfast to take in another location (park hotel 5 min walk).
Beautiful historic house
The breakfast was horrible. Served at limiting times and in the heat.
The room was excellent . The breakfast was only served from 7-9 and served outside in the heat in a cramped patio .
Gorgeous room, easy parking. 3 buildings from one front desk. Perfect ADULT getaway hotel.
Breakfast was very basic but OK and we had only to cross the street to it, but it's only served until 9am, so no lie-ins on a morning. Only a little moan!
The building was great, impressive both outside and inside. Our room had a really high ceiling with enormous doors! My wife spent quite a bit of time sitting out front on the porch. It was not really like a 'normal' hotel, more like staying in a house, as there were no staff about, but the reception was only a few yards down the street at the Prytania Parks Hotel, where they were really helpful. Off street parking was good and we never used the car as the streetcar line was just a block away. Restaurants and bars are close by on St.Charles Ave.
Good location-easy enough to walk into French Quarter when it's not too hot or easy to catch the tramcar. Easy to find when driving in to town.
The included breakfast is served @ a nearby location, not on site. A sign directed us to proceed about a block & 1/2 away, however the breakfast was also served across the street (the sign hadn't been updated) - however the staff followed us & apoligized about the sign mixup!
A great room w/ tall ceilings. A delightful bed that was wonderful to sleep in late. It was very quiet. Very nice accomodations.
Directions to check in were not good which lead us to haul our bags around to another location to check in.
Overall The Queen Anne was great. Breakfast in the morning was good and the location in the Garden District was perfect. The place was clean and comfortable.
Receptionist on arrival was not very friendly
Beautiful room and nice garden breakfast lady was very friendly and helpful
Poorly lighted street, office was a block from actual room.
The first day we stayed there, the housekeeping came around 9 o'clock in the morning, which was early -especially for being on vacation. The remainder of the days, I believe they came later as we were not in the room when they came.
That stuff was very friendly, the location was very close to the St. Charles trolley as well as to Magazine Street in the Garden District, and the facility itself was lovely and really felt like you were in New Orleans!
It is located in a residential area. The residents there do not respect the guests of the queen Anne. They have loud noisy cars that they revved up all night long, played loud music, and were yelling. And this was on a sunday night. I didnt feel safe walking to and from trolley at night, even with my husband. I would not walk to the trolley alone.
Comfortable room. Excellent info of trolley cars and there schedules and routes. Could catch Trolley just around the corner.
