Iced and orange flavored water provided in lobby during the day, and coffee in the morning. Friendly and accommodating front desk staff. Large rooms with comfortable beds and sitting area. Location a few minutes walk from the White House.
WiFi only worked for short periods. Poorly drained bathtubs. Poor flushing toilet in unrenovated small bathroom. Minimal counter space Noise due to early morning garbage pickup at back of hotel necessitated a room change. Lack of room decoration. Former kitchen counter and appliances removed but no effort to renovate area. 2nd room at front of hotel also noisy due to street traffic and single glazed windows. The TV in our room didn't work.
- comfortable beds - clean rooms - high speed wi fi - good localization
Staff were exceptional. Close to 2 metro lines, restaurants and attractions. Very clean. Very comfortable bed.
No counter space in bathroom.
Staff were friendly, lots of little touches in room. High quality, large room size.
Quiet. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff.
The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Space and facilities in the room were great. The close proximity to two metro stations was fantastic. Access to a wide range of eating options was most expedient. Would most definitely stay here again. A totally positive 6 days.
We were accommodated for an early entrance to our room, having flown overnight....and staff was friendly from our first meeting. They were helpful with information and with vouchers to au bon pain when I had to leave early and coffee wasn't available in lobby. Looked forward to returning, as we were always greeted warmly. Room was great; more space than we expected...and a kitchen! Location is great, just a few blocks from two metro lines.
Afternoon water taken in too soon....really liked that orange or lemon water.
Value for money is great, the staff are wonderful. There was no gym on site, but they gave us tickets to workout at Gold's (RIGHT next door), which was a great gym - way better than any hotel gym I've ever been to.
The walls are pretty thin, so at one point I could hear a baby crying.
The staff and location are spot on.
Manfred (Manny), the doorman, was very helpful.
Nice big rooms Clean Good lifts Helpful staff
Bit noisy on street front
Stayed at the quincy for five nights. Very comfortable room, excellent service from the staff and very convenient location. Couldn't ask for more.
Staff were great. Liked having coffee and water at reception. Great location.
Free parking and continental breakfast
The staff was excellent. They were able to satisfy our every need and very quickly. The location to a lot of DC's famous attractions were within walking distance. There were a lot of small niche type restaurants everywhere. The upkeep of the hotel is very nice and appreciated. Although the hotel was full there was a lot of quiet and we were exposed to very few interruptions.
The website may have been outdated as there are zero restaurants on site. The website listed 2. Our room was supposed to have a kitchenette and although there was a large empty space for it, the kitchenette was not installed. I didn't like that we had to leave our car keys at the desk for the adjacent parking garage. The fee for the garage was $30 a day. Within very short walking distance there were other garages in the $15 range. Getting into the hotel/garage complex was not easy and there were no instructions as to where to park to check in.
The room had excelent features, the location was quite near the main city atractions and the staff was very helpful and agreable.
Nothing to report
Road noise in morning
The hotel is well located, just a few blocks from the White House. It has underground parking. We met nice, helpful staff.
This was a great find, we were tourists and it was so handy to everything. Mannie the gentleman who greeted travelers at the door was amazing with his knowledge of the city, and assisting with any arrangements. We had a incident with loosing our passports in a taxi and both he and front desk staff could not do enough to assist us. Everything was great about this place.
I couldn't believe how friendly and helpful all the staff were - I dealt with several different people over my three day stay and they were all special. Location was perfect for walking this city. Two useful subways stations nearby too and lots of great places nearby to eat etc. Room was huge and comfortable - with Kingsize bed.
Easy access to buses & variety of restaurants in area. Our room was contemporary, clean, & the bed very comfortable.
A little further away from the mall area & attractions, then I expected. Not able to access program info when watching television.
We loved that the hotel was located by all the major Metro Lines and walking distance to a lot of the attractions we wanted to visit. We love and appreciated the bar located on the LL. It was a nice touch that the staff welcomed coming and going from the hotel. The Front Desk personnel was ALWAYS willing to assist you with information and was very patient doing so; never giving attitude when having to repeat themselves. The fresh ice cold water in the lobby was also a nice touch especially when returning from a long walking or bus tour in the heat. The room was spacious and comfortable with great control of temperatures. The room was great for control of brightness as needed as well
Housekeeping wasn't always up to date on leaving enough toilet paper or refilling the coffee and tea items. The non-computerization at the Front Desk should be reviewed. We left a 6 AM wake up call for the day we were leaving to make sure we caught our train on time and the call didn't come to us until 6:51 AM w/an excuse that they (person who finally called us) couldn't read his colleagues handwriting on the sheet that was left for the morning crew. If we hadn't learned (finally) how to set the clock in the room we would have missed our scheduled train and would have had to pay a fee for another train (not good at all). Also, my husband who I had brought an antique airplane at the Smithsonian Air & Space museum for him as a gift was damaged by housekeeping when they came to clean one day and they never acknowledge the damage to us nor apologized for the damage.
Easy walking distance to everywhere a tourist wanted. Loved the size of our room and couch.
The staff was the highlight of our stay. We brought our bicycles with us to DC. They went above and beyond with accommodating our trips in and out of the lobby, with our bikes. They locked them up for us each night without complaint. Our room was pleasant, but since we were using the pull-out couch, we really had no other place to sit in the room except our bed. The Keurig coffee machine was wonderful! The location was great. We were exactly where we wanted to be in proximity to all the monuments and government buildings.
Parking should have been included in the price of the hotel.
