Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, wait time to check in was too ling.
I did like the pool and the beach location. The room was nice but the bed was horrible, wait to check in was too long ( check in is at 4 it was 5:30 before room was ready).
The room we had was very basic and overpriced; the building as a whole is overrated!
the location, terrace and beach; also the breakfast was good; thank God it was included in the cost for the room.
The buffet breakfast was expensive for what it was
Access straight into the beach
location and view
The paid parking, the resort fee,the room and hotel need work to be worth the money that is charged.the room had dust dirt fingerprints and the bathroom drain piece was dull and old.The bathroom vanity had rusty legs and extreme water damage from the shower. The room had barely a view of ocean down simonton street. This hotel has major issues and it is not in line with a Waldorf Astoria at all. Paying for parking as a guest is wrong as is their resort fee. I never used any of the resort, just another fee to make their overpriced hotel not worth it. Had a room next to a junky service closet where the door was left open at all times to view the mess, and the elevator smells like oil or some nasty smell and was actually out of service during my stay. Really nothing there warrants the prices and fees they charge....beware!
Staff were nice.
Very average resort for the cost Valet parking price and speed Check in delays Wifi useless
Steak resto was fine
This would be better if it was more in my budget. Come prepared to spend money for absolutely everything.
Very helpful staff and accomadating our special requests for early check in and late check out. We enjoyed drinks at the poolside restaurant although they were pricey.
Dining service poor. Not many options and expensive also.
Beachfront setting and staff
Overpriced, although this is the peak season. I prefer something in Key West a little less commercialized.
Clean, very friendly staff, spacious room.
Only one not-so-great thing: we were able to use WiFi, but it was very slow. Also, it disconnected suddenly several times, and on my computer it automatically disabled the WiFi connection. It took me quite some time to figure out that this was what it had done and, of course, I wasn't able to use my Internet, etc. during this time. Also, the prices at the gift/coffee shop seemed very high.
The rooms and bed were great, the location terrific and the pool area and restaurant very nice. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Also, we took a 4-hour boat trip on February 17 to snorkel and see dolphins: the three people working on the boat, Noah and a crew of two young women, were really terrific. I would highly recommend this outing.
noisy room compressors for AC. Screens on patio door should be installed.
ease to all tourists attractions
The only down side is all the extra charges. Parking, resort fee, and the pricey food/drinks. the rooms are the same price as a daily sandals resort and they include everything! Also if u book the top price room with "ocean view" don't expect a great view.. ours was a peek of the ocean. Not the view I expected.
great location, great little private beach, friendly warm staff, very comfortable beds.. all in all it was a lovely stay! We alerted them that this trip was for my birthday and they had a ballon bouquet, Lindt chocolates and a bottle of champagne waiting in the room for me! Also loved that we could utilize Casa Marina! ( the sister hotel) a short walk away!
Our room door did not lock. Hotel was full so only had the latch on door.
Loved the location.
Everything from the time we checked in with the front desk. The pool was filthy.
From the moment we encountered the front desk female supervisor it was all down hill from there. She was snotty and there was no need for her rude behavior.
The location was good and the view of the sea from our room was excellent. Staff were friendly.
We were not aware that we had been given a code for the wifi and thought we had to sign up with a credit card to access the wifi. Only upon leaving did we read the small insert in our key folio that provided a free access code. Staff should draw your attention to that fact.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The resort is located on the beach and almost at the base of Duvall Street. We really enjoyed our stay.
Complimentary coffee in the morning would be nice, considering the rates!
Beautiful, elegant setting in ideal location with little private beach and access to Cara Marina close by. When you've had your fill of rockin' and rowdy Duval Street, a lovely refuge awaits.
VERY overpriced. Nice room, but hotel itself is now new. Checking time is 4:00pm and they could not let you in earlier.
Nice location, just on the beach, so you could use sunbeds and towels for free. Everything is walking distance. Great for old people :)
Housekeeping knocking on your door every morning. No sign to ask for privacy. Bathrooms way to small. Bed not very comfortable.
Right on the beach
This is the only Hotel in Key West with a small, private beach. Restaurant offers food & beverage service at the beach. Located a good (10 to 20 minutes) walk away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street. Nice place to relax, if you want or need to.
This isn't really a negative for us given what were looking for on the trip but the hotel is on the opposite side of the "party area" of Duval and Malory Square - still lots of shopping and great restaurants and only a 10 or 15 min walk to the party bars but if you want to be in the thick of things this isn't the most ideal for that.
Loved the room - it was large and clean - the staff went out of their way to accommodate requests and the pool/beach attendants were fantastic - just far enough away from the crowds so you could relax and feel like you were on a "resort" while being walk-able to the nightlife.
I think that the paid for parking and resort fee makes the resort a little over priced. The room rates are very high and I would think that these charges are excessive, particularly the parking at $20 a day plus taxes. The resort buffet breakfast whilst nice was very minimalistic and at $25 plus tax is again not value for money, just a short walk however are many good places for breakfast at half the price.
Location is excellent. Short walk up Duval Street to many good restaurants and bars. Excellent pool area with a private beach to enjoy as well. Pool staff very good.
Service was poor for what we paid an exhorbitant price for.
Excellent location, only 2 blocks from Southernmost point
