Very spacious...cost less for more space than the hotels in this area. Really enjoyed the fireplace and LARGE bathroom! Close to great restaurants and within a mile of the Biltmore House entrance. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fitness room is small but no one else ever used it when we were using it during our three day stay so it was like we had our own personal fitness facility. We would definitely stay there again.
Room is not completely noise proof...we heard some people yelling as if they were watching a game and you could hear people in the walkway outside but it wasn't bad enough to keep us awake or distract us during the day. Biggest thing I didn't like was that when we checked in we were told we could use Visa gift cards to pay our bill at the end of our stay (we were on our honeymoon and had received these as wedding gifts)...when we checked out we tried to use them to pay the bill but they told us the system wouldn't accept them as payment (they did try to run them through twice)...seems to me that a hotel chain as large as Marriot would be able to do something about this...fast food restaurants, gas stations, department stores, etc. can use them so I don't understand why a hotel can't do the same. Other than that our stay was good and we would stay there again.
The rooms were gorgeous and comfortable. It was almost too much space for a 2 night stay but the price was comparable to a tiny hotel room in Asheville so it was a no brainer! It was a $6 Uber ride to downtown - can't beat that. We will definitely be back.
Everything about this stay was wonderful!!
WIFI was very slow.
Our studio was a perfect nest for our anniversary getaway. Great linens, bath products, coffee and tea in the room with creamer and sweetner was an unexpected surprise. The room details and furnishing were very nice and comfortable.
Need a better reading lamp next to the bed and some type of light over the dinette table.
Spacious, decor homely, bathroom, bed, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable and warm.
We stayed here on our honeymoon. The location was stellar, the staff was very accommodating, and the facilities were beautiful. We had so much fun and can't wait to go back.
Comfort and spacious accommodations Excellent kitchen Multiple TV channels Good location
Walls are a bit thin - could hear guests next door
A fantastic property, very homely.
Everything was more than expected. Great place, great value!
The room was very clean and the bathroom was massive. The tall shower head was a plus, since I am a taller person.
The bed was terrible. Terrible. It felt like sleeping on a mattress made out stone.
My wife and I both loved the location downtown. We were no more than 700 ft from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate in addition to the Biltmore Village which has numerous shops. The room itself felt like a home away from home.
This is being very picky, but the t.v. picture quality was fuzzy and the water pressure in the shower was no very good. These are very minor things.
Location was great really liked the room.
The first night the people above us made lots of noise walking around.
Everything except noise above us
Comfortable, clean and very helpful staff.
(1) Suggest better signage on the main road - somewhat difficult to find - easily confused with the townhouses which are sale units (2) Heating unit noise is very loud
My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway since we have 2 small children and another on the way. Our experience at the Residences was wonderful!! I couldn't ask for a better experience! We will be back!
Pretty much everything.
Toilet paper holder
I just had a weekend getaway and was sceptical about the price of the hotel but is truly a remarkable deal.
Rooms are spacious with updated amenities. Nice balconies, and fireplace with gas logs in cozy family room. Complete kitchen with modern SS appliances incl.dishwasher and granite counter tops. Unit complete with all needs including washer & dryer, just bring your own food and make yourself at home.
Well these comments are my opinion of course but my wife and I found the furnishings lacking the usual comfort we find in our travels, ie. mission style sofa and bedding mattress. As a final critique the sound proofing between floors for the complete unit non existent. Everyone walking or moving above makes an awful racket. (Maybe they should have improved in this area during the retrofit) My suggestion try to book the top floor units.
Generally, it was a nice place. Good location, maybe half a mile from the Biltmore entrance and on a road that ran straight into downtown. Clean.
The bed was a real problem. Felt like a low quality matress. My companion said she felt like she could feel the springs at times. Neither of us slept that well.
This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel in Asheville. The studio we stayed in was more than big enough to accomodate a family of three. The room itself is very comfortable. It even had a washer and dryer which came in handy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again next year.
The wifi signal was a little weak.
Staff was extremely helpful; wonderful bath and kitchen facilities; 4 th floor with some view of wooded area good. Request that!
Parking lot or pool view most everywhere; awful hard utilitarian bench and 2 hard chairs at table:(; lighting in BR and reading by sofa extremely inadequate for reading; sofa utilitarian
The room was nice and clean. The balcony was nice and peaceful.
I didn't realize you could not smoke on the property. That is my fault as I must have missed the fine print when booking. My husband is a smoker which is why I wanted to book a room with a balcony. I am not a smoker and wanted a non smoking room, but wanted him to have access to smoke outside. The parking was terrible. The back lot was under construction. We had to go up around 15 steps to get to our room. There was no option for the elevator. My husband and I are able to climb stairs but it's a little inconvenient when you aren't expecting it and have a lot of luggage you are trying to lug up the stairs. I've never been to a lodging facility where you didn't have the option for the elevator. The room was nice, but we will not stay here again.
Noise from other rooms. No sound barrier between floors.
Condition and cleanliness of the property. Comfort of the room.
Staff wasn't as knowledgable and helpful as they could have been. Hot tub was broken the first night of our stay.
The room was great…the bathroom incredible. Nice fitness center. Friendly person at the desk; couldn't get the TV remote to work she figured out it was the battery and replaced them. ALL AT A TERRIFIC PRICE!
No wifi in the fitness center…plus no wipes to wipe down the equipment after use. The fireplace was a little hokey.
