The proximity to the event.
Didn't want to pay for internet, so I didn't use it. Even the cheap hotels have free internet. Parking was a bit pricey. Would have liked to have had a choice of valet or self park.
From Front Desk to Housekeeping, the staff was wonderful. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable.

The elevators in the morning, expect to stop on ever floor. Busy place in the AM.
We could walk to all the main attractions. The staff, no matter where you were, greeted you with a smile and asked if we needed anything.
Our schedules conflicted with that of the room service but we do have a baby take two naps a day.
Great service, great location, big rooms, and wonderful treats upon entering the lobby. Well worth it!

I waited 10 minutes on a Saturday evening to check in as there was only 1 person working the front desk. I had to ask the doorman to find another staff member to come to the desk so I could finally check in. When I finally got my key and was leaving, the first desk clerk was still talking to the same customer. Who knows how long I would have waited. On Sunday morning at 9:30 am, you could hear the maid coming down the hall, knocking on each door "Housekeeping!" At 9:30AM on a Sunday! When she knocked on my door, I opened it and said "Are you under the impression that you work at the Days Inn?" She said "I just wanted to see if you were ready for me to clean the room." I said "You can clean the room when I have checked out." There is no reason that housekeeping cannot communicate with the front desk to find out who has checked out. To rush customers out early on a Sunday morning is inexcusable.
The room and amenities were very nice and comfortable.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable with a great outlook. It was a club room and the club lounge was excellent providing everything we needed. All staff were friendly and efficient

The well trained, efficient, wonderfully friendly staff make a stay in this hotel the best ever! Beds are great, food is delicious and location is terrific. I highly recommend the Ritz-- Carlton.
