The Ritz is usually lovely and I always choose to stay there. I love seeing the Statue of Liberty outside my window. Downtown is really coming back.
This time I had requested a king bed and they hadn't booked me one. They had to find one and then put me in a king room that smelled of smoke, had burn marks on the bedside table, stains on the carpet and stains on the ceiling! I asked to be moved. They accommodated me and sent a bottle of wine as an apology. The following trip there I was also put on the top floor with a lovely view.
Had a great time. Loved the location
Kind of pricey
For the price of some of the lesser brands we stayed at a ritz. Lovely location overlooking the statue of liberty. Clean, spacious room. Easy access to subway. Great stay for a picky traveler.
We had asked for two doubles but got a king. They adding a cot but cot ended up being very comfortable.
One of the best place on NYC
The hotel and staff were excellent. I loved having that little suburban feel in Manhattan. Views of the Statue of Liberty were lovely.
Beautiful views, great amenities, attentive staff, wonderful room and facilities. What we have come to expect from RC
Elevators were having problems, so we had to walk. Am sure this was a momentary glitch. Desk was very kind in offering us car service to our next stop!
The hotel is situated in an excellent downtown location and the views are spectacular if you upgrade to a "Statue view" room. The staff was very receptive to our needs and immediately fixed issues that were brought to their attention.
As a frequent traveler, I've stayed in many New York hotels and know that this hotel is not a very good value for the money. But if money is no object, then the Ritz Carlton Battery Park is the place to stay.
we love everything about this place! The staff at the bar and diningroom were fantastic, what great personalities!
Location! Location! Location!
Laura and rest if the staff from the front desk to resturant always makes my stay a pleasure. I have been staying at the Ritz BP since it opened and it has always been consistly great. Richard True
Expenissive WI-FI like the others hotel in NY
The staff at the Ritz Carleton hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. They took trouble to find out who we were and took trouble to make the stay as good as it could be.
There is nothing about this hotel that we didn't like.
Staff was extremely friendly - even talked to the kids. View from our room was amazing over looking lady liberty.
We enjoyed everything!
View is good
Breakfast is little ,just one option (americano breakfast ),area and lobby is very little
Location is great. Quiet, great view of statue of liberty, close to subway, walking distance to financial district and 911 Memorial
The restaurant is looking a bit tattered. The chairs are dirty and worn.
My husband and I loved everything about it, worth the money
great view of river.
I had hair in my food, at 2west. Room was dirty, food crumbs left on the desk bath room was not clean. House keeping just never did a great job. I got other services and the were very poor.
My wife and I really enjoyed our short stay and she is not easy to please
We liked that the room had a view of the Statue of Liberty. It is far and quite small from our vantage point, but there was a simple and small Celestron to see it better.
In general, the hotel is just overrated :( The staff were advertising for upgrades and other services, but these weren't really appealing and were just taking up our time.
Location, service, style of room and also old decoration. Minibar was locked and the service of hotel was not as good as for Ritz Carlton
Great size of room. Good beds. Club level in Ritz Carlton is always a must! You can eat and drink and this will be an extension of your own room.
Battery Park on south Manhattan is a bit far away from the action. You need to take a lot of taxis or the subway to get to places.
