I spent five nights here and it was by far the best accommodation I stayed in during my more than three weeks in the US. Everything positive already written on this place is spot on. Big rooms, great kitchen, immaculately clean, excellent wifi, fantastic staff and great location. The icing on the cake was meeting Keith (the manager of the bar and restaurant downstairs). He's a drink making guru and an excellent bloke to spend and an evening with. If everywhere you stayed was as good as this you'd never go home....
The Umbrella was a lifesaver.
Location, close to a subway stop and the Kennedy Center. Staff, Dwight and the front desk guys, plus Keith and Maram in the restaurant, go the extra mile.
The local neighborhood.
Expensive Parking of your vehicle.
Great location close to Georgetown (charming area with great shopping and restaurants) Foggy Bottom (subway, groceries) and easy walk to memorials. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Rooms were clean and spacious, with a great kitchenette - fresh coffee with a grinder was a bonus! The hotel had washing facilities, a small gym - everything you could want at such a reasonable price. Staff friendly and welcoming. Cannot fault. Great hotel- exceptional value for money.
I liked everything about this hotel- cannot fault it.
Everything apart from the hot water not working twice in 3 days.
Broken hot water system.
The quietness and the view. DC skyline at night is a beautiful sight. A local restaurant, A Taste od India, was magnificent. Can't wait to return.
My wife and myself were denied entry into the hotels restaurant. In fairness, the hostess stated that all tables were reserved. However, at the time there were aprox. 10 open tables.
Excellent price - quality ratio
I really like the room and how big is it! it includes everything you may need.
they have limited parking and the price of parking is 40$ which made me parking in the street and got ticket 20$ so I saved 20$
Room size, value and location
Everything. The location is at the prettier end of town, yet very close to good grocery shops, metro and within walking distance of some of main sites. The kitchenette in the room was a distinct bonus: ours had full fridge/freezer, microwave and two plates on the hob. Our room was large, with sofa, armchair and small coffee table, plus a desk and chair. We were offered an upgrade just before we went: we didn't take up this option, but may have been given it anyway, so check. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant very good and reasonable price.
Being really picky - a tin / bottle opener and corkscrew would be a good addition to the kitchen equipment. And as a previous reviewer has stated, there was no table to sit down and eat - but then as we didn't expect to eat main meals in our room this didn't worry us.
Location Size of room
Colour scheme in bedroom very dated Windows could do with replacing
Charming tree lined residential street just a short walk to the Foggy Bottom Metro station. Still in the middle of the city life but quieter than some other hotels we have stayed at. Suite was very livable space.
No way to print our boarding passes at time of our departure. Apparently the system was down at that time.
Great staff, good facilities, restaurant, close to Metro, local grocery, what else could you want?
Internet. May have been a technical problem to be fair.
Great location (4 minutes walking from Foggy Bottom station, close to grocery stores). Kitchen facilities.
The fan (heater) was slightly noisy.
We had a magnificent 1 bedroom on top floor with great view. Beautifully furnished and equipped. We shopped at Whole Foods 3 blocks away and had breakfast and dinner at the dining room table looking out over the river and the Kennedy Center. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Parking at hotel is very expensive.
Near to Foggy Bottom metro Spacious well equipped rooms Well furnished Wonderful view Large fridge freezer No kettle provided but one was available when we asked
The kitchen cupboards are a little dated, but that is a minor thing
Nice and big room, very comfortable. The small kitchen is practical and has everything you need. The hotel is only 2 blocks away from the metro station and you can easily walk to Georgetown. Staff was friendly and helpfull.
location; size of the room very spacious convenient to GW metro station
Close to everything & fantastic staff
Rooms for large and inviting. The location was terrific! and the staff was outstanding...friendly and warm to the guests and worked well as a team.
The staff was very cordial.
The sofa bed is closer to a love seat in size.
Very close to Foggy Bottom Metro station, safe neighborhood, friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room.
Being able to go right from Regan Airport to the Hotel all by Metro. Foggy Bottom Stn is an easy 5 min walk or less. Whole Foods is perhaps 7 minutes. You can see Whole Foods when you come out of the Foggy Bottom Stn. The Restaurant in the Hotel has excellent food. Shared the duck confit spring rolls and the tuna tartare and that was plenty for the two of us with a glass of wine. Make a reservation as it gets busy with dinner guest going to the theater. Kennedy Theater is an easy 8 min walk, come out of the Hotel and turn right and you will hit Kennedy Theater. The suites are like apartment living. Come out of the Hotel turn left walk up two blocks to Pennsylvania then turn left and you are three blocks from Georgetown. We trekked all over the city with our Metro week pass. Another good restaurant is Circa and it is across from the Metro. We will be back!
Having to leave!
