View from room. Thought we would have a river view.
Had engineer to repair safe in room twice in a 5 day stay; water up to ankles when taking shower; view from our room mostly rooftops; bed small.
2 short blocks to the metra; staff calls cab and it appears in 5 minutes; staff friendly and timely with requests; room spacious, bright and clean; food in restaurant very good; umbrella in closet; darling neighborhood of painted row houses; walking distance to Georgetown and Foggy Bottom restaurants ;easy access to groceries; coffee beans and grinder included.
Size of room, kitchen and comfortable bed.
I left my iphone6 in the car when dropping it off with the hotel staff for valet parking. 15 mins later came down to find it and it was gone. The guy who parked our car was coincidentally off duty and not reachable. We traced the phone and saw it moving towards the chinatown direction. Filed police report but there was nothing they could do cause it is impossible to track it down in such crowded area. The hotel manager promised to investigate, but of course the guy denied it all! they offered us breakfast vouchers.
Proximity to main visitor attractions. Good self catering equipment. Cleanliness.
The staff, especially one man at the front desk in the evenings who was very helpful. The location is also great. The room was quiet and comfortable.
Great location, huge rooms
Few dinging options within walking distance
Quite place close to the metro and 5 minutes from all main attractions
Kitchenette Friendly staff Great location for all the sites
In early April, they already shut down the central heating system, even if the outside temp was 40F at night. Therefore, we set up the heating but did not get any heat for the 1st night. The stuff did not tell us there is a small heater in our room when we checked in. It is OK that the hotel try to save heating cost, but please tell the customers to use the back up heater in the room. We never have this kind of experience in the other 4 star hotels. We are lucky we did not get sick.
The location is close to Metro subway. There is whole foods store and some nice restaurants nearby.
room was old and noisy
staff were very good
They woke me up with a very unpleasant morning surprise, sliding me a bill under the door that was 40% more than the already outrageous DC prices that I had to book the room for.
there's no street parking and they charge you $40 a night to park there.the dumpster was right out my window and the garbage truck came at 7 in the morning it sounded like he was actually in the room
We had booked a room for three people, one of them a child of 10. When we arrived a nice double-bed was there. Not big enough for three of course. So I asked the concierge where the third person would sleep? The reply was that the third bed is the sofa which WE would have to unfold. The sheets are already on the bed (not visible if not unfolded) and the pillows are in a closet. Technically that is correct but if I book a room for three, and tell the hotel about a late arrival, I do expect the third bed to be there ready to use! That includes an unfolded sofabed with pillows upon the bed! Parking: In this area public parking is only poosible on a 2hour base. If you stay longer you get a ticket from the local police. The hotel offers valet parking for 34$ which comes with a tax of 6.something$ so you pay 40$ per day. Good about this: You can take your car in/out during this time without extra charge. Downtown Washington/the Mall/Georgetown is within walking distance and a subway-station is nearby.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and the Room was very well equipped. One might think this place is mainly or business travelers and not so much for families but then again: Why would they need a full size kitchen? Well maybe if they stay for a very long time. The neighbourhood is very nice.
We made the reservation 8 days in advance and specifically requested a room far from the elevator and they gave us the most closest room the elevator which was also next to the laundry room so the noise weren't normal, it was really uncomfortable and imposible to rest well. When we explained this to frontdesk they said the hotel was full booked and even though they were aware about our request (a room far from the elevator is something I always request in all hotel and never had any problem with this) they couldn't do anything. On the check out they asked about our stay and we said about all the noises and they said they are having problems with booking website so they didn't recieve our request which was obviously not truth because the person who talked to us the first day knew about it. This really upset us. An apologize would been better than a lie. The room is spacious but I don't think it is a 4 starts hotel.
Location. Spacious room.
Great location, friendly staff, comfy room
No free parking
The best s the bead
The size of the room and kitchen facilities available were fantastic.
Hot water took forever, makes you waste water. The AC control was for decoration. Ac was controlled centrally, you cannot determine when you need cold or heat
Very clean, just what i wanted. Well maintained. Good neighbourhood, friendly staff apart from the lady in the restaurant. Again, very clean. Beautiful decor; exactly what you see in pictures. Nice colour theme. Junior suite was very big, but with small bed
The design of the hotel, the front desk Ross and team were very nice and helpful. Room were perfectly clean, kitchen with all the necessary to cook.
Some noisy chatter from (teenage?) girls next door (we had room 303)
Location: quiet neighborhood, 3 blocks from Metro. Trader Joes and Whole Foods nearby. Pleasing decor. Roomy. Serviceable kitchenette.
kitchen door necessitated room change.
The location is great. Near GWU so lots of energy. Very short walk to Foggy Bottom metro station, and only a couple stops from Metro center station. Whole Foods a short walk away, which was fantastic for us. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
I didn't like the $40 incidentals charge on top of the room rate. Most places including the big chains only charge $25. It's been a couple of days and it hasn't been returned to my card yet.
Liked the oversized shower head, the full kitchen was definitely a plus and the location is excellent. There are plenty of things to do in walking distance or just a short cab ride away.
