The River Inn-A Modus Hotel  

ホテルレビューを見て、予約いたしました。ホテルスタッフはいたって親切で、いくつかお願い事をしましたが- 、英語の不自由な私たちの思いをかなえることができました。 　ジュニアスイートでしたが、広く清潔感あふれる部屋で、キッチン、冷蔵庫がついており、近くのお店で材料さ- え買ってくればなんでも作ることができ、とても便利でした。 　朝方周辺を散歩いたしましたが、大通りから一歩入り込んだ立地で、落ち着いたワシントンの雰囲気を十分に堪- 能できました。

最寄りの観光施設（ホワイトハウス周辺）までは、約１，５KMほどあり、タクシー利用が能率的です。

インターネットが使えるとあったのですが、too slowで実質的には使えません。ホテル側にクレームしてもsorryというだけで解決になっていません。- 最終日も早朝早い便だったので、タクシーを前日予約しましたが、結局予約入っていませんでした。

連泊でも部屋の清掃が完璧であった。部屋も静か。ホテル内のレストランは値段も手頃でとても美味しい。

ワシントン中心部から近いため、活動が楽だった。

ホテルの受付の態度が非常に強圧的だった。数日後にはスタッフがかわったため解決された。

地下鉄Foggy Bottom駅とサーキュレーターの乗り場まで数ブロックと交通の便がよい。スーパーもTrader Joe'sとSafewayが数ブロック圏内にあり、部屋がキッチン付なので食事の不便も少ない。フロント- は簡素で効率的。日本のビジネスホテル風で、チェックインはフォームに記入してルームカードキーをもらって- 終わり。部屋の広さ、清潔さ、必要十分のサービスも満足。ホテル1Fのレストランも手頃でおいしかった。

夜間は無線LANの速度が低下する傾向があった。有線LANもあったが私のPCではうまく通信確立できず使- 用できなかった。

We flew in to Reagan Nat'l Airport and took the Blue line Metro rail to the hotel. It is located just two short blocks from the Foggy Bottom Metro stop, on a quiet tree lined residential street next to the George Washington University campus. We are from a small town and this was a nice retreat at night from the bustle of the city we endured during the day. We stayed 3 nights at a better rate than any og the hotels closer in town. The weekend rate was cheaper than weekday. They have a small restaurant in the lobby of the hotel. The cheapest breakfast was $12 which we thought was a little high for what we usually want first thing in the morning so we packed our favorite cereal and bought milk and juice at a 7-Eleven store a block away. We were out and about touring the sights at other mealtimes. The hotel is an older building. It was probably very posh in it's younger days. While it is not the most modern, our room was clean, bathroom fixtures old but clean, bed was very comfortable, there was an iHome radio on the nightstand where I was able to charge my iPhone, a good TV, wireless WiFi I could access with my iPhone, nice size room with chairs, desk and couch, a kitchenette with microwave, sink and full size refrigerator. They kept our luggage in a storage room while we toured the last day till we retrieved it on our way to a late flight home our final day. We chose this hotel for being close to the Metro, on a quiet street and reasonably priced. It was all that.

The room is heated by an old fashioned steam radiator. It made an annoying grumbling/clanking sound the first night. It worked very well but just made a lot of noise. It changed to a more tolerable hum the other nights. The door to the room was a big heavy metal one that fit very tightly and had to be pulled closed with a hard jerk which meant each time you or your neighbor came or went there was a big clunking thud announcing your activities. Also, one of the two elevators was out of service while we were there.

Excellent location, in a quiet street close to Tube station. It is possible to walk to Georgetown restaurants and busy shops. The kitchen is a real plus. There is a Trader's Joe supermarket well stuffed at a walking distance, north on 25th Street, after crossing Pensylvannia Avenue. Whole food supermarket is very close to Foggy Bottom Metro Station. Rooms are large, with a flat tv and vcr and dvd player. Comfortable and good Queens bed in spite of previously mentioned surface damaged head board.

The room was a pleasant surprise! Excellent use of every bit of space the room had to offer. Not your standard hotel room by any means!!

The headboard covering was worn out and should be replaced. The stove top was old but it worked.

Staff at check in was very friendly and helpful

Housekeeping. No one responded to a phone message both times I called down to housekeeping. Finally called the front desk and was provided towels. I would not call the River Inn a luxury hotel. It was a nice and clean place to stay but did not have amenities like a luxury hotel.

It was a good location for sightseeing in Washington, dc.

The pull out couch was a poor quality.

I came to attend performances at the Kennedy Centre so the hotel's location was excellent.

Room 207 (if I recall correctly) needs some maintenance. The small mirror is falling off the bathhroom wall as is the soap dish over the bath tub. The kitchen needs a cutting board and a kettle for we foreign tea drinkers. Appreciated the coffee beans and the grinder.

The staff at the Hotel was very helpful & friendly, housekeeping prompt, and the resturant was very good. The bed was comfortable and the space was large. Great kitchen (with coffee beans and grinder ) and a couple blocks from the metro and stores, resturants, etc. Free internet and printer was awsome also they have a nice little gym. If you like new this is not the place for you. It's a very old building.

No Heat in the room and expensive parking. Do not get a room in the back of the hotel if you like to sleep in because the trash trucks will wake you up.

Location, value and kitchenette are the primary selling points.

Air conditioning in room could have functioned better. Lack of air conditionin controls in exercise room (too warm).
