Location! Rich with history. Tho we were almost only guests mid-week off-season, tavern food was excellent. Staff helpful and friendly./
You have to sacrifice a few amenities for history and charm. If you want to stay at a Holiday Inn, stay at a Holiday Inn
Perfect location to get away, and unplug, for a night on the Eastern Shore. The meals are worth the trip, alone.
Great location. food is excellent. Rooms are small and old.
Stairs are steep to rooms.
The inn is lovely and you cannot beat the location for a getaway. We stayed in a small cabin room and it was fine, although no real place for luggage. If you're going for a longer stay (2-3 nights) you should consider upgrading. The larger rooms are quite spacious so worth the $$ for upgrade, the value is there. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Dinner the night we arrived was also very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Nothing not to like, enjoyed our stay and will return.
Location and food are both excellent.
No place to sit in room so had to spend time in lounge. Also could not access internet from room.
Historic property. Excellent restaurant. Rooms small but to be expected in a 300 year old inn.
The restaurant was wonderful.
Room was tiny, no tv, no internet, no a/c. I know it's supposed to be "quaint", however, I didn't expect a bad dorm room.
Historic charm, location by the water, restaurant
small room and small over soft bed. dark bathroom. Caught staff at busy times, not very attentive.
I'd recommend only to those who had an overriding interest in local history. Tavern was good.
Our room and bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. Te food, breakfast and dinner, was excellent. Parking was convenient and ample. The parlor, dining room and tavern have great historical paintings and comfortable furniture.
Wi fi did not work in our room, room 10.
Front desk staff Dinner/breakfast
Condition of facility. Cheap furnishings and decor.
The atmosphere and history of the inn. The breakfast on the front porch was wonderful.
The room was very small. The bed was not comfortable. We were surprised to find out that this inn does not supply wash clothes. We have never stayed in a b&b, inn or hotel that did not supply wash clothes. On a whole we had a nice stay.
Restaurant was excellent, so was location
My husband and I had an excellent meal at the Tavern at the Robert Morris Inn. Gourmet food and good service. Beautiful and peaceful area. Also 1/2 hr to St. Michaels and 15 minutes to Easton MD by ferry or car to enjoy more entertainment/activities.
The Robert Morris Inn was a very convenient location to Easton and St. Michaels for activity but the Inn is older and the rooms require an update. My husband and I had the King Cottage room in a separate building. The room overlooked the water and was a good size; just in an older condition.
The food is the main reason to go here. Every meal we ate there was well prepared, cooked perfectly and delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The view of the water from the room was great, and the perfect weather didn't hurt either.
The decor in the room at the cottage was very dated, and lacked simple things like wash cloths (!) and a mini fridge. The staff was slow in cleaning the room daily. The Inn itself obviously needed repairs to be done and the dining room was dark. To be fair, the Inn is in the middle of negotiations to be sold, so hopefully the new owners will address these problems.
Location was excellent
Place is in need of some updating
Staff wonderful; food outstanding; bar cozy; great location; overall ambiance great; mid-day tea delightful; peace and quiet
Inn needs tender loving care- bathroom ceiling paint peeling; showerhead almost inoperative; plastic cups in bathroom; scuff marks on walls; did not use fitted bottom sheet on bed and always came loose
Liked the attentive staff, and excellent breakfasts, included in the price. Location was the main reason for staying there.
Could improve their WiFi so it works in the rooms.
Dining Room food was excellent
Dining room service was unsupervised confused and poor. Staff was not at fault, clear case of poor management
Beds too hard. A/c not working properly, water pressure poor, enable to shower, flower beds needs weeding and for $200 per night need to paint the outside.
See above. Over priced.
Location was great. Staff were outstanding and helped with an emergency problem. Food was excellent.
Room somewhat cramped for the price.
the ambiance and history of the inn are very impressive. view of the bay was very nice as well. staff was top notch and very friendly.
the wi-fi did not reach to the 3rd floor so we got no internet reception. even on the first floor the internet did not work or was tempermental. there were no wash cloths! the window ac unit was very noisy and had to run constantly. the rooms should have wall mtd minisplit units which are quieter and less obtrusive. i am in the a-c business so i know it could be done pretty reasonably.
Beautiful historic perfect location Fabulous food including afternoon tea Surprise! Nearby beaches Excellent bicycling Helpful & friendly staff Loved the whole experience!
air conditioning needed but a bit noisy when turned on in room - not a big deal
