The Skyline Hotel  

The location and parking is a plus. It is good to be near the Javits for work

We booked 2 Queen beds for two salespeople traveling together. They gave away our room to another guest and we were stuck with a king and pullout couch. I was furious and they did nothing to accommodate us. Worst NYC hotel experience ever and we stay there 5 times a year for 30 years for tradeshows. Never ever going back to the skyline

That the swimming pool, being the highlight of this hotel, was closed the whole week, without prior notice.

Location & very clean

too hot, even when heating was in off position it still threw out heat. Problem with pipework, extremely loud banging at midnight.

Ari, the concierge, is great at his job--very personable and helpful. Parking for only $10 a night was a selling point for us.

No coffee/tea maker in the room. However, it was easy to buy a "to go" cup at the restaurant connected to the hotel lobby & take it back to the room.

i LOVE staying at the SKYLINE! The staff is AMAZING and will do anything possible to make your stasy there pleasant! I stay here on many occassions and plan to continue so.

Not crazy about the neighborhood

We love the Skyline Hotel because they love dogs. The Skyline is one of the few hotels in NYC that is dog friendly. The location is good, within walking distance to many theaters and restaurants. The indoor pool is also great.

There are no coffee makers in the rooms.

It's not far away from times square or subway (3 av blocks away)

The floor in which the room was located was totally under construction (rebuilding). At some of the days the workers start making noise at 8 A.M. (and I'm meaning real noise with hammer and that kind of noise). We booked with 6 months advance, so at least they should give us a room in a floor where there were no rebuildings

The staf is so friendly. They helped me sorting out the Internet problem I had after subscribing to wifi network like I subscribed using my iPhone so it worked only on my iPhone, I called from reception desk freely to wifi customer service n they transferred the account to my laptop.

Shower is a bit in convenient like no hand shower, but that seems to be same even in the big business hotels we stayed in Chicago ie not something like we used to in Europe.

A very competitively priced hotel Great location near Times Square, but far enough away to avoid the noise. Free drinks voucher for the attached bar "PJ Bricks". Helpful staff, clean, friendly, welcoming and secure. NewYears Eve, extra security to ensure ONLY paying guests could enter the hotel so as to avoid parties

Cleaners would walk in without knocking and on our first day this was at 8am. Locks and "do not disturb sign" must be used to avoid this. The attached restaurant "PJ Bricks" was a nice atmosphere to enjoy a few drinks but was disappointed with the food so didn't eat there again. Lack of Free WiFi No Tea/Coffee making facilities

I did not like how booking.com does not include the taxes in the reservations so the hotel ended up being 100$ more after taxes.. I don't think I will use booking.com again as I will like to know the full price of my stay prior to my arrival

I liked that this hotel was fairly cheap compared to other hotels (including parking fee), clean, and close to time square and other attractions (walking distance).

I didn't like the organization of the parking garage. They leave your front windows down with keys in the car, you have to carry bags back into the hotel and walk up a driveway where cars are entering and exiting, and you have to wait for an attendant to check your ticket before going back into your car to grab your things (that can take some time depending on how busy they are). I would say this was the only bad part about staying at this hotel.

I really liked the service, my hairdryer broke and they changed it in five minutes

It is a good hotel!!! The price is good for what they offer you. The subway is 2 blocks away. The staff was very friendly

Very noisy rooms. Can hear everything next door and above. Noisy plumbing/mechanics. Basically don't expect to sleep well. Wifi charge.
