|Ideally located in Times Square, this Manhattan hotel has a 24-hour front desk. Edison Hotel - Triumph Group is just 8 minutes’ walk from Rockefeller Center and 10 minutes’ walk from Bryant Park.|
Location was great 10 minutes from Times Square 15 from Central Park 5 from subway to downtown. Very comfortable beds and clean bathroom. For New York prices it was reasonable value.
Restaurant added a mandatory 18 per cent tip and concierge was more interested in selling tours than giving helpful advice. She tried to sell 2 people a bus trip to a shopping mall in New Jersey rather than tell them about the great shopping (eg: Century 21) right in New York & got annoyed when I told them. (why pay for a bus trip to the burbs when you are in the heart of New York?)
Friendly staff,clean rooms,good location
would have liked a microwave in room and definately a coffee pot !
location, halloween decorations fun. concierge gave good recommendations. housekeeping guy tried to help us cool our room down and brought us a nice fan when we asked for it.
entrance looked like you were in a parking garage. rooms dingy, no coffee pot, too few outlets, way toooo hot. AC not functioning. asked for extra pillows, never got them. Way too expensive for what we got.
This hotel is great. Parking is only 10.00 a day. They added free wi-fi this year. Comfortable mattresses. Lots of room. Refrigerators included. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and plan to make it a place to stay every year.
I like the price and location.
The front end manager would not return calls or answer her phone to secure details of my son's arrival. When I finally did speak to her she assured all was set. When my son did arrive the paper work was not at the front desk, as was needed, for him to check in. The manager forgot to leave the payment authorization form with the front desk staff. Other that the unprofessional front end manager all was well.
Great location - 3 blocks from Times Square, really comfortable room, spacious, helpful staff.
Little noisy outside at night, but no huge bother
An easy 10 min. walk with luggage from pier 90 where our cruise ship docked. Staff went out of thier way to be helpful, in particular the bell boys who were outstanding. Our room was spacious, clean & very comfortable with a lovely view. Well located for major sights & within walking distance of subway. We could not fault our stay & would definetley stay here again
Nothing at all
area was good, even walking back from Radio City at 11pm
The concierge, Larry, and the guy who helped us with luggage were really nice and helpful! The lady by the check-in, check out not so much..The rooms were really ... basically the hotel was fine if you're on a budget or are travelling with friends...it has everything you need
The lady at the check in check out counter was not sooo friendly...we wanted to extend our stay and the couldn't give us the same room prices ... we thought the hotel was fine but then we changed hotel on our last night to hampton inn which cost maybe 20$ more and were much more satisfied and saw that one can really put in more effort in making guests feel welcome
Lovely swimming pool
Did not have a balcony Sometimes too cold to sit in foyer
I liked the size of the rooms and the location was great!! Staff was friendly and helpful when it came to giving us tips on getting around the subway, especially since it was our first time to New York.. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel.
Room Clean Location Beds were nice Wi Fi is good Pool on the roof was good
Shower in the bathroom not easy to use unless you like cold showers.
The room was "enormous" by New York City standards. 49th Ave and subway is on 50th Ave. Times Square is on 42nd Ave. Central Park is straight up 10th Ave and over to 8th Ave. The hotel is in Hell's Kitchen area which has SO MANY eating places. Very safe neighborhood. We went out each evening around 10 to get dessert and never worried.
The air conditioning in the room. It was preset at 75 and in Aug it gets stuffy and sticky. Especially after being outside. It just didn't seem to completely keep up. It was manageable. My older mother was fine with it. She does not like it cold.
After finding our room was so pokey we were able to upgrade to the same size room we were in before going on our Cosmos trip for US$ 20.00 a day
I booked a double room in April 2014 for a quiet non-smoking room. When I arrived on the 13th August I enquired about the room I had booked for on the 17th August, to be told I would have to ring/email during my trip to enquire about an upgrade. As I was unable to do this satisfactorily so I left it till I returned from my Cosmos trip. We were horrified at the pokey room backing on to the lift shaft.
Location Staff were clearly well trained and concerned with providing for customers needs Cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Price. Clearly worth the expense for the value but was beyond this families budget. Guest services are not made clear ( like, wifi ). How to access services could be made more clear with adverticments in rooms.
Staff were helpful, decent bathroom, comfortable beds.
Decor was very tired looking, lock fell off front door, safe broke but did get fixed within a day, quite noisy.
easy walking access to everything
Great location to walk into the city only about 10 minutes. Discount on the parking for duration...$10 per night. Small fridge available.
No coffee or tea available in the rooms. Needs a lick of paint! So very expensive for a bed and shower each night.($130/room plus parking each day!!!!) I would have at least expected a coffee facility in the room! Never again!
Good location. Walking distance to time square, boat line, convention center. Good restaurants everywhere. Friendly staff - Extra towels and supplies as needed. Fixed TV ASAP when needed. Clean and comfortable beds.
No free wifi. Free wifi kicked in the day after we left but not a major flaw. No coffee maker. co worker had to bring her own but again not a big flaw.
The location was perfect! The beds were comfortable and the staff excellent!
It is just an older building but that was not a problem!
Pool. Very refreshing... Warm
Parking. I forgot my phone charger in my car... Couldn't get it. Took 25 minutes to get my car when leaving. 5 minutes after I left my check tire pressure light came on. Pulled into a gas station. There was a gauge in my tire resulting in me having to replace it. Parking lot accepts no responsibility.
There was no wifi during my days there.
Location was good. We were able to walk to Times Square, Central park, Broadway theatres, Hop on hop off bus stops, in fact everything we wanted to do.
The room was a bit small, but I think this is pretty normal for New York unless paying a very expensive price.
Great location, walking distance to Times Square and subway stops. Pool hours were great. Ability to store luggage and keep car parked until 3 pm on day of checkout was a plus. Free wifi.
The AC was old so didn't keep the room as cold as I would've liked. Would've liked a microwave.
I took my 13 year old granddaughter there for her graduation. Just the two of us! I felt there was good value staying at the Skyline. Most all the staff was pleasant, especially the concierge, David. The room was clean and there was no noise to speak of. I could tell it was a pet friendly hotel, although I did not see any pets. Being a bit off the beaten path was a plus in my opinion.
I felt the restaurant was overpriced but there were many places to eat around the hotel that were reasonable.
