Lovely swimming pool
Did not have a balcony Sometimes too cold to sit in foyer
I liked the size of the rooms and the location was great!! Staff was friendly and helpful when it came to giving us tips on getting around the subway, especially since it was our first time to New York.. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel.
Room Clean Location Beds were nice Wi Fi is good Pool on the roof was good
Shower in the bathroom not easy to use unless you like cold showers.
Location Staff were clearly well trained and concerned with providing for customers needs Cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Price. Clearly worth the expense for the value but was beyond this families budget. Guest services are not made clear ( like, wifi ). How to access services could be made more clear with adverticments in rooms.
Staff were helpful, decent bathroom, comfortable beds.
Decor was very tired looking, lock fell off front door, safe broke but did get fixed within a day, quite noisy.
easy walking access to everything
Great location to walk into the city only about 10 minutes. Discount on the parking for duration...$10 per night. Small fridge available.
No coffee or tea available in the rooms. Needs a lick of paint! So very expensive for a bed and shower each night.($130/room plus parking each day!!!!) I would have at least expected a coffee facility in the room! Never again!
Good location. Walking distance to time square, boat line, convention center. Good restaurants everywhere. Friendly staff - Extra towels and supplies as needed. Fixed TV ASAP when needed. Clean and comfortable beds.
No free wifi. Free wifi kicked in the day after we left but not a major flaw. No coffee maker. co worker had to bring her own but again not a big flaw.
The location was perfect! The beds were comfortable and the staff excellent!
It is just an older building but that was not a problem!
Pool. Very refreshing... Warm
Parking. I forgot my phone charger in my car... Couldn't get it. Took 25 minutes to get my car when leaving. 5 minutes after I left my check tire pressure light came on. Pulled into a gas station. There was a gauge in my tire resulting in me having to replace it. Parking lot accepts no responsibility.
There was no wifi during my days there.
Location was good. We were able to walk to Times Square, Central park, Broadway theatres, Hop on hop off bus stops, in fact everything we wanted to do.
The room was a bit small, but I think this is pretty normal for New York unless paying a very expensive price.
Great location, walking distance to Times Square and subway stops. Pool hours were great. Ability to store luggage and keep car parked until 3 pm on day of checkout was a plus. Free wifi.
The AC was old so didn't keep the room as cold as I would've liked. Would've liked a microwave.
I took my 13 year old granddaughter there for her graduation. Just the two of us! I felt there was good value staying at the Skyline. Most all the staff was pleasant, especially the concierge, David. The room was clean and there was no noise to speak of. I could tell it was a pet friendly hotel, although I did not see any pets. Being a bit off the beaten path was a plus in my opinion.
I felt the restaurant was overpriced but there were many places to eat around the hotel that were reasonable.
The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. Enough towels and toiletries were provided.
The fact that my friend and I couldn't pay for our stay separately on our credit cards. I had to pay the full amount on my Scotiabank Visa and her number on her MasterCard was taken down but I have to wait for a minimum of ten days for my Scotiabank Visa to be reimbursed for my friend's half of the bill. I was told by the clerk at checkout that if I had any problems with being reimbursed that I could call the Skyline and speak to accounting. Not a great option since I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and would be calling long-distance. June Ricklefs - Room 301
Location was nice walk to time square.
The hotel sits on top of a railway line so you can hear the rumble of trains all the time. We were on the 6th floor so it wasn't that bad.
Location is not midtown, but is within walking distance to most restaurants and theaters
Pool opens too late in the morning. Staff was not that friendly and welcoming
Everyone was so welcoming, they made it feel like home and tended to our every need. Perfect place to stay.
The rain haaa. I would have liked there to be a breakfast area, but other than that, I was happy.
This is a very practical and reasonably priced place to stay if theatre is going to be a major part of your trip.It was good to be able to walk easily to and from the theaters and find a good little ethnic eatery on the way. Also great access to and from the Lincoln tunnel (we drove and stored our car here-easy to do, $10/night.) Otherwise Midtown is a little dull as a NYC neighborhood. We had a room designed for handicapped accessibility. While it's great the hotel has this kind of facility this isn't the most comfortable room for a more able bodied group of women with spreadable stuff.
no free wifi everywhere but they say that's coming. That was an unpleasant shock.
The hotel was in a good place and the hotel bar was ok. There was never many people around so as a group we kinda filled the place. Bar tender was good and there was a good choice of sports. The room was exceptionally big for NYC.
The pool opens at strange times and is highly chlorinated. The room smelled badly when we entered. Left the window open for the full weekend.
I just love this hotel. This was my second time staying there and it doesn't disappoint.
Can't think of any negatives at all.
A comfortable hotel within walking distance of many NYC sites.
No AC at this time of year. Room was very hot. You could open the window but no screen and lots of city noise. Pool was only open for short periods of time.
Location, the staff was very friendly and the room was big and clean!Perfect location to loads of atractions,as well as the seaside and cruise line:)will come back.
