The rooms are bright & colorful too, but you can tell it's an older renovated property. Not plush by any means. $7 for a bottle of water in-room. And the A/C unit was LOUD.
Very colorful! I love all the bright colors & gorgeous pool areas. Distrito is wonderful, just a little pricey. The staff bend over backward to help you with anything. Love the fact that it's right in the heart of Old Town.
Not a bad experience, just the bathrooms were a bit small and the air conditioner was quite loud.
We loved the facilities - the staff was very helpful - pool was great! Rooms were comfortable. We could walk everywhere in downtown Scottsdale, or they had a great golf cart service to take you around.
Wooden bed frame was creaky and air conditioning sounded like it was on its last leg.
Loved the location and atmosphere
The room was perfect, the staff was kind and extremely helpful, and the location was exactly what we were looking for
Loved the location!
Beautiful hot tub but no pump for jacuzzi! Considering that this was the most I have ever paid for a hotel room I expected everything to be in working order. Was not
Best hotel pool around and proximity to downtown and ballpark fantastic. Nice workout room
Facilities were shabby. Outdoor furniture dirty and uncomfortable. Requested king bed got two queens. Very spartan room, thin towels, inexpensive bedding. Would not stay there again
Location couldn't be better. Can walk to most everything.
Really minor stuff: Ping pong equipment was beat up horribly. Bathroom door didn't close all the way.
Location, pool and pool staff - room
The gardeners were on my patio clipping at like 9:30 while I was still hanging out with my door open, should not have been working at an occupied room that early.
Forget the reviews of paint and old, this is an old holiday inn instead of tearing down they have rehab, like lipstick on a pig. But the location to walk to old town is the best. You are in Scottsdale, get out of your room. The room was a hoot. Old books, crazy colors, a touch lamp. The little book of things to do was so cute I took it. If you want to walk or ride one of their bikes around old town, stay here. I told my son we have to bring a big group, I don't know if they have a write up with pictures of the history of the hotel but from ground breaking to now I would love to see it. I called it design on a dime on steroids. And the staff was super, the ones on the driveway were superb in friendliness. The afternoon bar staff I almost just left, at 2 dollar margaritas and waiting for my ck, they might have well been comped. And I was the only one at the bar.
Restaurant staff weren't very accommodating. Wedding have reservations for dinner and were out in the bar with a confusing bar menu. Weren't asked if that was ok or offered the regular menu which other bar patrons were. Our waitress looked scarey and left before we even finished eating. Food was just ok.
Decor, location, most of the staff, bikes for use, pool
Rooms and property was like repainted old motel. Rooms very basic and not great. Clean enough.
Great location. very friendly and helpful staff.
The wifi didn't work very well. Very hard to get access.
The location for Old Town Scottsdale is good.
The elevator was not working and I was on the 3rd floor.
The room was decorated very cool!
No fridge in room
Right by Old Town Scottsdale, quaint shops and eateries
The beds were creaky and the pillows were so full they made it hard to sleep.
Loved how close we were to old town. Easy walking distance to most places. The hotel is funky and fun. They did a great job renovating an older property and giving it some soul.
free wifi was availible sometimes and often slow
We liked the location, design and layout of the hotel. The food was very good including services.
Air conditioner noisy, going on and off all night to maintain temperature.Room became too warm if you turned it off. Mattress old and mushy and creaked when you moved. Room updated with colorful decor but the bones of the room are still quite old.
Location, friendliness of staff. Room service quick. Restaurant, coffee bar. Room quiet and on park. in Building 6.
Wifi was a little dodgy, but serviceable. They gave us a 2 for 1 coupon that could only be used if you went into the restaurant. Seems a bit ridiculous to not allow for usage of the same coupon for room service (especially if you are traveling with an infant).
Reviews had this place a little on the dingy and old side. That's probably true, but I'd call it character. The grounds were gorgeous and the rooms were clean. Do not confuse age with uncleanliness, they aren't related. We'd stay again for sure.
Couldn't get my wife a message
Te southwest ambiance, the fun vibe, the happy staff...
Pool party was a blast, rooms by pool are nice but patio recliners could use a regular cleaning but who's complaining.
No happy hour poolside, the bathroom was really tiny and the airconditionier was very loud.
The facilities are fantastic, so close to old town and lots of Fantastic bars and resteraunts. The guys at the front were always so friendly and helpful especially Michael.
It's not really a good value in comparison to other hotels. The $22 resort charge isn't justifiable for what you get. Wifi is another $9.95--it should be free and available everywhere on the property! The hall carpeting looks shabby and the hallways were full of leaves. The AC unit is very noisy, same as prior visit. Rooms need sitting areas.
The location is perfect and the food at Distrito is fantastic (the main reason to go here). I like the funky, colorful decor, even though the rooms are pretty basic.
Saguaro is a contemporary designed updated hotel within walking distance to all the Old Town amenities. One pool area is good for swimming laps & relaxing as there is a separate kiddie pool in another area.
Room was very dated it was kind of gross. Carpet old looking, popcorn ceilings, stains on the furniture. My "pool view" was a view of a couple bushes with the pool way off in the distance. Definitely a 3 star, not 4.
Staff was very nice and professional. Bed was comfortable.
