The room was decorated very cool!
The elevator was not working and I was on the 3rd floor.
Right by Old Town Scottsdale, quaint shops and eateries
No fridge in room
Loved how close we were to old town. Easy walking distance to most places. The hotel is funky and fun. They did a great job renovating an older property and giving it some soul.
The beds were creaky and the pillows were so full they made it hard to sleep.
We liked the location, design and layout of the hotel. The food was very good including services.
free wifi was availible sometimes and often slow
Location, friendliness of staff. Room service quick. Restaurant, coffee bar. Room quiet and on park. in Building 6.
Air conditioner noisy, going on and off all night to maintain temperature.Room became too warm if you turned it off. Mattress old and mushy and creaked when you moved. Room updated with colorful decor but the bones of the room are still quite old.
Reviews had this place a little on the dingy and old side. That's probably true, but I'd call it character. The grounds were gorgeous and the rooms were clean. Do not confuse age with uncleanliness, they aren't related. We'd stay again for sure.
Wifi was a little dodgy, but serviceable. They gave us a 2 for 1 coupon that could only be used if you went into the restaurant. Seems a bit ridiculous to not allow for usage of the same coupon for room service (especially if you are traveling with an infant).
Te southwest ambiance, the fun vibe, the happy staff...
Couldn't get my wife a message
Pool party was a blast, rooms by pool are nice but patio recliners could use a regular cleaning but who's complaining.
The facilities are fantastic, so close to old town and lots of Fantastic bars and resteraunts. The guys at the front were always so friendly and helpful especially Michael.
No happy hour poolside, the bathroom was really tiny and the airconditionier was very loud.
The location is perfect and the food at Distrito is fantastic (the main reason to go here). I like the funky, colorful decor, even though the rooms are pretty basic.
It's not really a good value in comparison to other hotels. The $22 resort charge isn't justifiable for what you get. Wifi is another $9.95--it should be free and available everywhere on the property! The hall carpeting looks shabby and the hallways were full of leaves. The AC unit is very noisy, same as prior visit. Rooms need sitting areas.
Saguaro is a contemporary designed updated hotel within walking distance to all the Old Town amenities. One pool area is good for swimming laps & relaxing as there is a separate kiddie pool in another area.
Staff was very nice and professional. Bed was comfortable.
Room was very dated it was kind of gross. Carpet old looking, popcorn ceilings, stains on the furniture. My "pool view" was a view of a couple bushes with the pool way off in the distance. Definitely a 3 star, not 4.
great location and we loved the great look of the place right up our alley every one was very helpful quit rooms
can't think of a thing we didn't like they were very nice to place us close to our friends that were staying there also thank you
Fantastic Resort, Great location and amazing staff and personalized service and comfort.
Convenient location for Old Town & the Giants Stadium. The staff were all congenial. Free golf cart transportation within 2 mile radius. Decent restaurant/bar. The bed & pillows were fluffy & comfortable. Clean workout equipment. Jacuzzi was nice.
Rooms were old & worn, they need to be updated. There were no drawers, only 2 shelves (3rd shelf if you're like 7' tall), for clothing/etc. Approximately 1/4 of the closet hanging space was taken up by a safe. Electrical outlets were difficult to access. The mini-fridge barely cooled our beverages. Air conditioner was very noisy & could see through it to the outside. Sliding glass door view was of dirt & weeds.
The service at the restaurant, Distro. Terrible.
The food and pool
We liked the convenience of the hotel. Room was very comfortable.
We were led to believe there was a balcony off of our room - it didn't exist. The new release movies in the room television were way too expensive.
No hot water on arrival - cold shower! Room safe found closed and locked on arrival - not checked by maid.
Very nice place, great pool area with bar, facilities well kept and people were friendly. Adjacent to the main square, old Towne and Scottsdale stadium.
I was very disappointed that the hotel made no attempt to warn me of the $63 per night "taxes" I would pay in addition to the extremely over priced room rate. There was no information provided at any point during our stay that would prepare us for that, nor did they explain if I entered the pool I would pay $20 extra, and pay for the water in my room even though I didn't open it. Very upset about that after our pleasent stay.
Loved the style of the hotel and proximity to Old Towne.
I prefer Hotels as one rather than seperate buildings.
great location.... comfortable bed - we would stay again.
The sliding door to the bathroom was noisy.
Staff was fabulous, knowledgable and friendly.
Room was somewhat dirty. The bathroom wall had toothpaste run marks, and wasn't ever cleaned in the three days we were there...ewww!
Feels like a really old hotel bed squeaked mattress was lumpy and the street was loud
lovely location! beautiful place! excellent staff! we really liked it, especially the bikes and pool, but the place is beginning to show age, like dirty chaise lounge covers on otherwise very nice chairs. Rooms clean. Some party animals there for a wedding, and were loud and concerning. Staff was extremely attentive to concerns, and I give them five stars for their response. Seems kind of alcohol centered, but still OK for kids if you keep distance from spring breaker types. My kids thought it was a visually cool looking place and liked it. The guys where you pull up in your car were SO NICE, first rate service. Loved the staff, so so nice. Agree it would be better to have two queens instead of doubles. Beds comfy and clean. Nice soaps and shampoos. I'd stay again! I do really wish they'd reupholster the pool furniture and the purple outdoor rug in area six then it would live up to its full potential.
