Noise level of the El....
The location .
My rooms were with bad view, and crouded .
Location was great for Millennium and Grant Park. Magnificent mile was also within easy reach. The room was large. Air conditioning controls easy to use. Bathroom large and towels extra fluffy. Lovely robes.
The beds for 2 adults and 2 teenagers were small doubles
Friendly staff Comfy bed
Pressure of shower Subway noise
Position, room and wifi
We visited Chicago for the first time to see the inner city and to meet up with some old friends. The Silversmith was an ideal hotel in the ideal location for this. Those who have never visited this city should include it on their wish list. The hotel has been fully renovated and redesigned. So it can and does match more modern hotels. The breakfasts were fine.
Loved the spaciousness of the bathroom and massive bed. it felt like i was sleeping on a cloud
The hotel was beautiful, the staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. Loved how close it was to the subway and millennium park. Loved the room amenities... Esp the quality hair dryer. Lots of restaurants around that were reasonably priced!
Drove around the block 3 times before actually finding hotel. The signs out front were hard to see. There was also some noise from the trains that could be heard inside hotel but was minimal during night hours and didn't disrupt my sleep.
The location is really very good. The hotel is simply beautiful. The room was everything I could have asked for. And the staff made it even better.
Wabash under the El isn't Chicago's prettiest spot, but just one block away is the stunning Mellinium Park.
The location was central, the bed was great
For $200/night you should have real glasses and coffee mugs, not paper and plastic. The hotel is right underneath the L, thus noisy, and lots of little things were problematic (e.g. fixtures were loose).
very pleasantly surprised - luxurious
Smart room décor, the best pillows we have ever rested our heads on, location for Art Museum and Lake, nice local fooderies, lovely friendly staff.
Nothing, it was all good, we had a high level room, might be some street noise lower down.
Great location if you want to be in town. Public transportation very close. Staff friendly and helpful.
The members of the staff go out of their way to say yes to any request.
location room size
kitschy decor right next to L train tracks
The hotel is near to nice food places and has their style sorted out.
The beds were a bit high and the clock was harder to read in the dark (even though there was a light) as it was analogue- both minor problems
Absolutely perfect for the price. So nice and went out of their way.
Loved the bathroom, toiletries fantastic and room comfortable
No desk to work at
Location excellent. Totally remodeled hotel. Every detail attended to. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Friendly staff.
Great Location just 3 blocks off Michigan and the Art Institute. Good hotel restaurant, and great places to eat all around it.
The room was very nice, pleasant to return after a day sight-seeing. Bathroom was over the top, very elegant. Bed extremely comfortable, slept well. This location could not be topped, and the staff from bell hops to the desk staff were very friendly and personable.
We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and the hotel was amazing, not only the design, also the service and the people working there. Im usually quite difficult with hotels and with this one i got surprised: big, nice and clean room with a huge clean bathroom, also quiet room( if its not facing the main street). The only negative point is that the restaurant is not amazing. Only that.
Hotel was recently updated. Nice style but poor facilities and services.
We make reservation 2 months ago. Staff bring us a room close to air coindition general machines from hotel. A very hard noise 24h. Our windows was more or less 2 meters to machines systems in a very dark little street. Was a little bit dissapointed.
loved the location close walking distance to everything. the staff was very friendly and helpful.
not having a microwave in the room
