The silversmith hotel is in a very central position, walking distance of all main attractions. Wonderfully comfortable beds and large rooms. The staff could not be more helpful when it came to booking restaurants etc.
Near Milenium Park restaurants,Art Museum and shoppings (Macy's one block)
The Loop is just in front of the hotel, so you can hear the train at night
Lovely hotel. The location was brilliant. Staff very nice.
.......can't think of anything.
A warm welcome from staff - who greeted us by name.
I would have liked a table in the room - even a small one
Just about everything! Nice sitting room, comfortable bed and a really nice bathroom. The Silversmith Hotel is a hidden treasure and would stay again in a heartbeat!
A makeup mirror on the bathroom vanity wall would have been nice but certainly not enough of an issue that would keep me from not recommending the Silversmith to other travelers.
conveniently located, very friendly staff, clean modern lines to the decor. large bathroom with molton and brown toiletries. comfy bed, but not being too tall i nearly needed a stepladder to get into it!
Great Location Remodeled to attract young adults Friendly, Helpful Staff Restaurant dining style
No Bathtub Loved Old Style Decor Overcharged at Bar
Great location. Very good experience. Great service.
The bell captain always tried to steer us toward an expensive limousine instead of a taxi that was one - third the cost.
Loved the friendly front line service, doormen (all of them) were exceptional.
Loved the clock...no LEDs staring at me
The noise from the L.
Room decor was very nice. We had more than enough room to spread out. Bathroom was spacious and had spa-like feel (cozy bathrobes in the closet!). Emailed that we would arrive early by train and asked if we could store luggage for the day, but when we arrived our room was ready for us! Awesome!!! Look forward to returning. Really enjoyed our stay. Had a great dinner in the restaurant.
View from our room wasn't great, but the windows opened so we could get fresh air.
Wonderful friendly staff. Always greeted me warmly whenever at saw them, not just at the front desk. Great location, walking distance from most things I planned to see. Near to the el, but not too noisy at the back of the hotel. Room well stocked with traveller needs (fridge, coffee maker, room safe). Nice little fitness room with a raised view of the street. Would definitely stay here again.
This house is in one of the most attractive parts of Chicago downtown, right across from the Museum of Modern Art and close to the shopping zone in downtown Chicago. The rooms are large, with high ceilings, in this classical highriser. I liked the attitude of the personnel, very attentive and supportive, well informed and competent. I had a request (about lowering the volume of the elevator music in the gym) which was promptly and gently responded to. This room was not cheap, but good value for money. I liked the coffee maker in the room and the generous bath room (I had a "superior" room). I used the Gym in the mezzanine floor, which looks out onto the street, is reasonably equipped and well kept.
The L train passes in front, which is a blessing if you want to use it, but makes a bit of noise on the lower floors. Still, it didn't really bother me at all on the 6th floor.
Attentive staff. Very nice room, nice decor.
Can hear the "El"
Bed, closets, we were in the back so train noise was minimal, workout area, small but neat
strange sofa, very uncomfortable,
Space, comfortable bed, clean
No cups for coffee machine. Noise from train
- awesome location in the downtown - walking distance to blue line from/to the airport - we arrived earlier than check-in, were offered to leave luggage and were notified via email onve room was available - both days during our stay, the staff was really friendly
Bed extremly comfy, New furniture.
The location was very convenient. The staff members were polite and helpful. The room was spacious and nicely designed.
The location is very covenient for tourists.
If the room is faced to the subway, it was kind of noisy.
Loved the location, ambiance, and condition. Would stay there all the time!
