The Silversmith Hotel    

The room was enormous; the bed was plush and deep and there were three kinds of pillows to choose from. The staff was lovely and they have this wonderful citrus water in the lobby - delicious! The location is perfect - a few minuts walk away from everywhere.

I thought breakfast should be complimentary - that's always a nice touch. No room service after 8:30 at night. I came in after nine and it was pouring rain and cold outside and I was starving!

Nice hotel in the heart of downtown

From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff was very friendly. We visited Chicago for our first anniversary and we even got a card from the front desk lady slid under our door. Great location only a small walk to everything including all the train stations that can get you other places that you couldn't walk. For the convenience, friendly staff, and price it was a great deal

A few things in the room were looking tired and needed some refreshing but nothing that you wouldnt expect or keep me from coming back.

everything was amazing! I enjoined my stay very close to downtown one block from Michigan Avenue and on the north south cross road.

The room was big! It had the king sized bed with a pullout couch also in the room. Good sized fridge and safe. Spacious bathroom and it all looked very upscale. The best part was you're right downtown and can get everywhere from there with a little walking or short taxi.

He tub drained slow so at the end of the shower I was standing in half a bath lol, not a big deal but that was the only thing I didn't like.

The location is perfect for people going to the museums, theatre, or just wanting to hang out. Located on the el, you can get anywhere in Chicago. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Staff was pleasant

What I didn't like was paying $52 to park our car overnight.

Everything about our stay was awesome. When we arrived, we were upgraded with no additional cost. The room was huge and very clean. The beds very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be staying here again. Great location, no complaints at all!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Close to the express bus to the United Center and the Art Institute which were the 2 places we were going. Valet parking was efficient in retrieving the car.

We were upgraded to a King Suite which was really nice. Every staff member was friendly, helpful and professional. The bed was very comfortable with high quality linens. The location was perfect...a very short walk to the Art Institute.

Our room lacked some of the amenities that we like, such as a real coffee maker, a free morning paper and a shower cap. The hair dryer was inadequate, but I finally got my long hair dry.

My regular room was huge! A partial wall separated the king bed from a sitting area with a small sofa and desk. Large flat screen television on each side of room divider. Beautiful Craftsman details in room and lobby. Very quiet despite being close to the train. Staff were welcoming and friendly but not intrusive.

Lousy one ply toilet paper -- Never thought I was a toilet paper snob, but the awfulness of the paper was magnified by the great care shown to all other details. No room service after noon on Sundays. 15 watt light bulbs in lamps. At least put one bright bulb at the desk.

Proximity to El stop, Millennium Park, Art Institute, and symphony, yet tucked away from El noise. Spacious room and well kept, especially for the price.

Staff was willing to help, interested in what we (my sister and I) said so as to better guide us and to help us achieve an enjoyable visit. The assistance I received from the phone about how to access the hotel by the desk was friendly, calm and helpful!

Location was a scary place to get to by car. Even though there was valet parking, I was intimidated by the location. The bellmen & others were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The access was the only issue.

Hotell staff all were extremely courteous and pleasant. The room was clean, well laid out and the bed and other amenities were both comfortable and clean. Exceptional location! Truly enjoyed our stay and will return again on our next city trip.

We were upgraded to a King suite -- and the extra space was really nice! The best thing about the hotel was its fantastic location --- central to shopping, the Art Institute and the park, good nearby restaurants. The staff was pleasant and helpful. All in all, a wonderful experience, and we will stay there on any future visits to Chicago.

It was a great location for Art Institute and theater district. It provided free internet, a mini-fridge and coffee maker in room.

It is next to the el train. It could be heard faintly.

Friendly staff, super clean & large room, hidden gem in the financial district of Chicago.

The staff was absolutely brilliant, and a particular thank you to Enrique, who's friendly face and banter made it feel like home. The feel of the hotel is warm and cozy, very welcome after subzero temperatures outside!

The staff was very accommodating. They even gave us an early check-in and a room upgrade.

We liked everything about the hotel.
