Spent our 1st anniversary at The Sofia Hotel and enjoyed every part. It was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The variety of amenities offered was really nice.
We didn't have more time to stay there
Just an FYI. The standard room is very small, with a double bed. It was fine for me, a solo traveler, but would be tight for a couple.
Loved the decor & historical building. Wonderful staff. Great location. Bar & restrauant downstairs was great, too.
For the price, it was a great deal. Will definitely consider staying here again.
Size of hotel. History, architecture of hotel.
Air conditioner unit was a little noisy.
Walls were too thin. Could hear my neighbours
Great location, within walking distance of the Santa Fe station. Great room and very nice bar/restaurant with a welcome Happy Hour (or two!). Particularly enjoyed the complimentary guided walk, entertaining and helpful.
Not much to dislike, if I had to report anything it would just be that the front desk staff were a little impersonal.
Convenient Location Friendly Staff and Valet
Rooms a bit small and no pool
The showers didn't have a full door to close...pillows too hard, boxy. rooms too small!! Sinks by the front door !! Ugh . Super crowded rooms.
Great location Free bike rental Ice water in lobby Lots of cable channels Toiletries include mouthwash
Room was small, not much space for luggage Shower and toilet separated from vanity into a tight space Elevators are small and not kept cooled
This Hotel is in the heart of San Diego and everything you could possibly want is just a few minutes walking distance! All the staff at the hotel was extremely nice.
I wasn't too quite happy with the layout of the room. I found it a bit too small, but on a positive note it had very comfortable bedding, which was amazing!
Rooms are very clean and comfortable.
A room for 4 people, maybe it's a little bit tiny.
The Sofia Hotel is within walking distance to many of San Diego's attractions. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The restaurant is not open for breakfast.
The shower was great and I slept well in the bed.
The room was pretty small and the lighting was insufficient.
great location and nice hotel, overall
no breakfast in the hotel
Great location, helpful staff, nice bar.
Location, staff, extras even though we did not use them
We could hear our neighbors talking, but luckily they quieted down at a reasonable hour.
Convenient location in downtown San Diego.
$9 daily service fee that is not optional. This should just be included as part of the price of the room. This practice is a bit deceptive in my opinion.
Great location near to public transport and lots of shops and restaurants . Lovely historic hotel staff very helpful .
Rooms very small with only one mirror in the corner off room ,not so great for two women !
everything! location, staff, cleanliness etc all perfect!
the walking tour that was offered on site restaurant was good service was very good and folks were friendly and helpful
sink right in front of the door valet parking was expensive smell of animals
Walking distance from Tourist atraction, nice and clean
Rooms are realy small
The locations was good, we had a drink in the bar on the first night we arrived - it was a really nice bar and the food looked really good!!! The bar staff were very efficient and pleasant to deal with.
Expensive overnight parking, desk staff were ok, we arrived quite late after driving from Vegas and wanted information regarding tours and local sightseeing that night so we could have a drink and have a look over them - they pretty much told us to wait for the concierge, they couldn't help. The rooms were quite cramped, the sink was in the bedroom - this actually works quite well!!! The furniture in the room had seen better days, the wardrobe doors were dodgy closing and the drawer in the bedside locker kept opening (I banged off it at least 3 times).
The Air conditioning was awful. It was over 80 degrees in my room till 2 am. By 6 am it had only cooled to 76 degrees. So the a?c was on for 12 hours and could just get the room to 76 degrees. The person I traveled with had a similar issue
Great Mattrass, very quiet room great location for both federal and state court houses
No breakfast of any kind.
