The location and the early architecture.
The restroom and shower facilities were very dated. I felt the parking fee was expensive. I reserved my room rate from a travel website that did not disclose the parking fee so I was a little surprised that it was additional and so much.
Front desk Kayla was helpful. Justin was a great bartender. Also breakfast buffet was good too a waiter whose nsne starts with an R (Latino man) he was amazing. Even valet was good
All the construction. Walks in rooms to thin, could hear the neighbors talking.
We were greeted happily at the curb by a bellman and assisted to our room. He was friendly, helpful and courteous.
The hotel is being remodeled. The construction noises were distracting during the morning breakfast in the restaurant.
My dad always took our family to St Anthony Hotel to stay and it has many happy childhood memories: orchestra playing nightly in very elegantly appointed lobby, the bread basket waitresses giving out all varieties of bread in the ever popular coffee shop, bedroom with a bathrooom at either end of a larger bedroom/living room combination.
this has all disappeared as downstairs being completely refigured with lobby a mess and café set up in middle of the lobby with no warmth or bread basket servers, alas!!! My husband and I moved to another room with telephone lines already cut in renovation. We feel hotel should be closed until the entire building has been redone. the hotel reputation is not helped in placing folks at discounted rates on floors with much sawdust and mess and 1940 bathroom fixtures still in use.
While place was under construction. My floor was loud, dirty and always heard workers talking outside my room during the day. The staff was very unhelpful. I asked the front desk girl for directions to a convenient store to get some waters and she was on the phone, not a work call by the way she was giggling, she just told me to go down two blocks either way. I did that and found nothing. Came back and she was still on the phone and said oh yeah you have to turn left and go around the corner first.
Despite the construction (which to me just says they care enough to upgrade) the place is fantastic, beautiful surroundings and gorgeous accommodations. I would recommend to anyone who loves nostalgia this is the place to stay.
The entrance was hidden, Would like to see a better (park here for Valet) sign or something. We circled the block two times before stopping to "ask" and it happened to be the valet door.
Could imagine that this is a very nice place when not under construction.
Were not aware that this facility was under construction when we booked. They should not have construction on floors that they are also renting out to customers. Valet was way overpriced and not efficient at all.
The staff was extremely friendly! We had a really great experience and will definitely be back!
The hotel was under construction but other than that it's a beautiful place to stay!
The staff is exceptional from the valet, bellman (Mark), concierge (Jose Luis), front desk (Cally) to the housekeeping staff. Always enjoy our staff as they make us feel at home.
Check out staff was nice Location
Check in staff was very slow Construction ongoing inside hotel Loud neighbors Additional fee per day for parking Hotel changed ownership the day we checked out. No longer wyndham.
Friendliest yet professional staff I have come across.
The hotel was under renovation, but they gave us random perks that made it worth while.
I liked them allowing me to have a late checkout. It was much needed!
WE WERE IN A FLOOR WITH CONSTRUCTION IT WAS A DIRTY MESS, SHOWERS HAD MOLD, JUST NOT VERY CLEAN ALL AROUND.
Huge room, four post king bed. Polite and competent staff. Short walk (two blocks to river walk, three to alamo).
Under renovation, hallways dusty, ceilings in hallways open (renovation work). Bathrooms are dated, cold water in the morning and very low water pressure.
Staircase was gone
The St.Anthony Hotell is a highlly classic place with a combination of the past and future with antique furnitings, endless marbel flooring and friendly staff. We enjoyed the experience of a Vintage Era. We were extremely pleased. Construction is currently going on but you are forewarned and given the opportunity to make a choice. We plan on returning in the fall when it is completed. pleased and excited to travel such classy time in the past. The endless marble floors and such romantic ambiance was
The part of the "past" that there is no ventilator in the restroom!
The hotel was currently having some renovations done so they gave us a scratch off ticket that ended up getting us a free dinner in their dinning room. The location is definitely within walking distance of the riverwalk don't worry so don't worry about that.
Almost $30 dollars for valet parking and still about $23 to park it yourself in the hotel lot at the end of the block. Don't let this stop you from staying here just be prepared.
The room was dated and the bathroom was dirty. Asked house keeping to clean the Bathroom n I'm sure all they did was empty the trash and clean the mirror. The shower was filthy with soap scum and mold on the shower door and floor. Never again.
Valet parking very dislike, reception very dislike. Under construction, not worry to meet standards, attention to the costumers bad.
They are undergoing a major renovation but were very accommodating, and their hospitality was amazing! I can't wait to see what it looks like when the renovation is complete! The location was perfect and the view from our suite was beautiful! We will definitely stay there again!
The building is nice ; And the personal very polite. Miguel. from Dallas.
T hat is not complete ready .Miguel from. Dallas.
facilities is under construction. I was taking a shower and water was turned off. I was not happy
Staff was wonderful. Roof top wad a great place to relax. Love the vintage vibe.
Under construction. Missed the hotel at its finest. No pool available at the time
Did not like the construction that was going on
