The St. Anthony Riverwalk - A Wyndham Historic Hotel    

I loved the old feel. The doorbell in each room was awesome. Old taps. Huge & soooo comfortable bed.

Found a few bugs in the room.

Historic building was awesome. Breakfast buffet and menu were superb . The entire staff was the most professional and friendly I have encountered in years !!! I will definetly be back !!

Renovations underway. Pool was closed . However I can understand these things .

I loved the fact that it was an older hotel. It had a lot of character and history. I enjoyed my stay and I'm very excited for all of the new renovations.

Great room and staff

A bit pricey, especially considering all the renovation going on.

Great Lobby Bar, with micro brews on tap & an eclectic choice of panini sandwiches, makes it easy to spend a few hours in magnificent surroundings.

Suprisingly paper thin walls lets you hear the guy sneezing next door with too much clarity.

Convenient location, comfortable bed, the accommodation for the construction

The shower never worked properly- the water didn't get hot and it there was hardly and water flow from the spigot or shower head

Great location.

Parking to stay was $20.oo/night on top of hotel stay. Room was not very clean. There was blood on the toilet when we checked in. You could here through the walls. I mean if someone was having sex or if they where just talking. You could here everything.

How tall the beds were. You could put bed stools beside the beds.

Every one there was extremely nice and helpful. The beds were super comfortable and clean.perfect location when going any where,like places to eat, shopping, sight seeing, all close enough and not too far. Also my room (880) was next to a suite of an old time favorite actor John Wayne. A lot of famous people stayed there. Well I enjoyed it and my family did as well thanks to you all at the hotel.

There was a lot of construction going on, and the pool was not aloud to be used during my stay. The hall ways needed more attention then the ground floor lights were falling out and the roofs in the hallway were broken. Also the wall paper is horrible it looked like the movie the shining,and last the pipping in the rooms for fires should be covered up or up dated because it is an eye sour that makes the room look bad p.s. need to up date the old old old furniture.

No coffee maker in the room.

Staff was the only plus, but they couldn't change my experience.

Dirty, trashed and worn out towels, noisy, lie of a location - not riverwalk in a shady part of town, overpriced parking - paying for garage and not getting that, total rip off.

The bed couldn't move in it because when you move the bed made a loud sound and they couldn't give another room because they was booked

Beautiful hotel with long traditions

I loved the vintage, the decor, the staff and Pete's Pub! The location was great we were withing five to six blocks of every downtown interest point and even closer to the River Walk and The Alamo. I'll definitely stay again!

Historic hotel with beautiful design. Big comfy bed, great staff! Very close to Riverwalk, Alamo, Zoo a short drive. A Children's museum around the block.

Could hear the guests in rooms next to you. Bathroom was a bit cramped ( hotel was under renovation hallways kinda tornup and windows dirty ) but plan on staying again once renovations complete

Very convenient to River Walk and all the historic downtown of San Antonio. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. Enjoyed the four poster beds and huge bed rooms.

Basically this is a faded beauty - if you are expecting very modern and fancy facilities it will be a disappointment. If you like old historic hotels that need a little lovin - this is your place.

Amazing service, decor, historic upkeep, and experience. The hotel was stunning and we got a very great price for a king room. the location was perfect. It was only 3 blocks from the Riverwalk so my wife and I were able to go out to a nice dinner and some drinks without having to worry about getting back.

Either the walls were thin or our neighbors we're exceptionally loud. It might have then the connecting doors in between each room. It is likely to keep up with its historic integrity, but it allows for too much noise.

Bed is bad, sink leaked, carpet is old and room was un-pleasant.

Everyone from the TV man-Juan to Bartender, parking attendant to front desk was very friendly & willing to help. We had one mishap where after a long day we came back and room was not clean (bed not made). However, we received a voucher for a free breakfast which was nice. We're coming back in June.

Breakfast not available for free for room price. Tax on room very high.

Historic significance

Swimming pool was not available and I feel when I made my reseravations I should have been informed of that. With my arithritis, missing swimming for 9 days was not pleasant. I know that I could have gone to the Sheraton, but having not brought a cover up, that was not an option. I would not have stayed there had I known the pool was not available.

The rooms were too small ... Felt compressed ... Restroom was the same .... The price had said $286 ... I ended up paying more with taxes ... I've booked on some other online and they've added taxes ... Already ...
