HighLine park is a beautiful way to see Manhattan. The view from the gym is great - even if it is small. Proximity to ACE metro lines and the great Chelsea Market. Like most NYC hotels, the rooms aren't big enough to swing a cat. Although floor to ceiling windows make for a light and bright room. If the staff would even try to smile, then life would be more pleasant.

Waking up to a view of High Line Park and the Empire State Building. Comfortable bed, quiet despite being in the middle of the city and great shower. The location was perfect...close to the Village, Meatpacking District, and Chelsea. The video that plays in the elevator...what a creepy and great touch. Everyone was mesmerized by it! Patio on the ground floor and restaurants are great touches, especially as each have a different feel, although our service was really slow even though it wasn't crowded. Lack of closet/drawer space for clothes. We were there for 4 nights and pretty much had to live out of our luggage. The bar at the top of the building. Rather than what could be a classy & romantic place for drinks and views...was overrun with people. Way too crowded and unpleasant. We avoided it after a quick peak.

Fantastic views help smallish rooms feel more expansive. Outside spaces are where you want to be when the weather is warm lobby and adjoining inside eatting space is meh

Location right over Highline Park is fantastic. Free bikes were a plus, as well as proximity to Hudson River bikeway. The gift shop was fun and different and the staff (Claudette?) was gracious, helpful and friendly. Room was clean and the wall of windows was great. Nice big soaking tub (with bubble bath) was great, especially considering how small the room and bathroom were. Even though we got a better rate through booking.com, the hotel is very expensive for what you get. Our room and bathroom were so small, it felt like we were on a small boat. Even though requested a quiet room and were assured that was the case, we were on the 10th floor, not near the nightclub or the street, and we heard base/pounding music both weekend nights until 3 AM -- loud enough to keep us awake. Some of the front desk staff seemed flustered and didn't have basic information, like how to get our newspaper.

I really loved the view from the room.. It is one of the best. Design of hotel and rooms both are outstanding. It does not have door or glass between the room and bathroom, so the bathroom seems like in the room. So much of noise from Bathroom is heard in the room that other person can not sleep at all. Even you can hear the water pipeline sound in the room if some one from upstairs is taking a shower. Rooms are very small.

I liked the overall feeling of the hotel. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurants were also very nice. I didn't like my bed. It sagged into the middle was uncomfortable. I had to sleep on an angle to get to sleep. The pillows were great.

Simply amazing. As I always suspected. If you're interested in design and like hanging out with hipsters then this is the place for you. Its an incredible building with beautiful decor. Boring people or those who dont appreciate the aesthetic should not stay here. If you dont like being somewhere so hip, you really should try the holiday inn.

The style, service, location. We have encountered a condescending and snotty hostess at the Standard restaurant for the morning service. She sours the brand. I think she thinks she's being exclusive but she is turning people off in a big way. Luckily there was another hostess working with her that was very respectful, nice, and hospitable. Besides this one employee, all the other stuff were very nice and professional.

The location, we had a studio on the 5th floor room 523 and the view was stunning, front desk staff were helpful, the restaurant was nice, good food for a good price. The noise, On the 5th Floor you could hear the bass of the music so loud that you could not sleep because of it, unbelievable that Management are willing to sacrifice the hotel guest for a very small club on the 18th floor, my recommendation to Management sleep one night in room 523 and you will be ashamed that you let a small club as Le bain overruling the wellbeing of paying hotel guest, I will never ever come back and not because of the staff they were really nice.

Interior design in the bar. Interesting scene. Very trendy. Lobby is pretty weird with all that black stone in the walkways. Rooms are too small and they are designed for midgets. The bed is like three inches off the ground. Tall people should not stay here!

The location, the bar and restaurants. The staff is rude when ordered not to smoke in the area of the heating. Are slightly sweer with the host. Offer dry treatment. One or two very friendly waiter. But they should offer training to the employees as exceeding expectations.

It was our first time staying here and from the time we checked in it was very ENJOYABLE. Orlando started our visit our by offering us a drink because our room was not ready and we were celebrating a BIG birthday. He was very approachable and made our first impression of your hotel a very positive and impressive one. The valets, restaurant staff, etc were very professional. We rec'd a bottle of champagne that I thought was a REALLY nice touch. Thank you! We will definitley be back!! not much to say here....except my fiance did fall out front during the snow fall because it was slippery and wet....you might want to address that issue. He is fine. :)

Loved the room layouts, the amazing bath/shower with glass wall with view on the skyline, and the view! Beds were comfy, check-in was a breeze and free wi-fi. Great location with tons of shopping and great restaurants everywhere. Staff were really great and went out of their way to make us feel very welcome on our anniversary! For a very special weekend -- worth the price! Could be a little noisy if you were near the club, expensive, no free coffee or any breakfast included despite very high room rate.
