Stinky bathroom Techno music Lack of a decent lobby bar Paying 20 for a Manhattan. Overpriced
The location is great and the hotel is very good
Prime location! Would without a doubt stay here again. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our needs.
Worth going just for the view from the bar and nightclub. Brunch was outstanding too. Service good and the Meatpacking District well worth a visit.
Room was rather shabby with most of the trendy black surfaces scratched. Didn't like the way the room was designed at all.
The floor to ceiling windows with amazing views of the river & Chrysler Bldg. Super comfortable beds. Hotel seemed very busy & Popular. The front desk staff were very good & helpful. We did the Sunday Night Bingo and had a fantastic time!
My only complaint is that the maids make a lot of noise on the floors when they are cleaning. I never heard so much door banging in my life!
Location, views from the room, design, the standard grill, top of the standard bar and resturant!
Shame the hotel guest do not get preferral treatment at the bar and nightclub on the roof!
location and vibe
No drawers or storage for clothing and no privacy in the shower/bath
Smells on the Like bleach on the holway, For this money room to small
The view was awsome! Room service eas good and nice toileteries in the room. The bed was so soft!
There was a misunderstanding with my luggage. Airline company lost my luggage and when we signed out of the hotel the front office said that it is ok if they are going to send my luggage over there. They even confirmed my contact information. On the next day when we called the hotel to ask if my luggage has arrived they said that they are not going to accept any delivered luggage after we are checked-out. I had to rearrange my delivery an it made me nervous. It made me doubt on the credibility of the hotel.
This really is an exceptional place to stay. Great staff, comfortable, stylish rooms and views that can't be beat. Breakfast at the Grill is also amazing.
Watch out for the door policy at the bar on the 18th floor. You'll need to dress smartly. The door team are a bit snarky.
Staff was nice and helpful for hailing cabs and offering recomendations.
Closing off elevator for guests was terrible making them go outside to get up to 18th floor on a nasty weather night. Staff closing off elevator was rude. Not worth it. Too snobby.
Awesome view-luxury hotel in meatpaking market, vey sexy translucent shower that you can easily see the person taking the shower. Every thing is classically excellent. The rooftop club is strongly recommended. This is a hotel for a rich guy accompanying a model from Europe!
The rooftop bar was the only reason I booked this hotel, but they don't even let the hotel guests (I'm talking about guys only!) go to the rooftop club after 10:00! Unless you find a girl and ask her nicely to take you in with her. This really sucks! However we overcame it ;)
Waiting staff and hosts at the bar at the top of the Standard very rude.
Very comfortable bed and room, as one would expect for the price.
Cigarette smoke coming through the toilet vents from adjacent rooms, despite being being non smoking rooms throughout. Would have liked a kettle to boil some water for tea and coffee.
very clean excellent wifi
couldnt goto the club through the hotel as hotel resident You have to go downstairs and get into line as a customer coming from outside
Excellent view. Great area
Room was a shoebox, but nicely laid out. If you like taking baths, the tub was huge!
The Junior Suite (room 1023) had amazing views from its floor to ceiling windows of uptown, downtown and of the Hudson. Its seating area comfortably had enough room for six of us to celebrate Christmas morning,
Bass music from Le Bain nightclub can be heard into early hours, until 4am during holiday season.
I liked everything:)
I love the location in the meat packing district directly on the high line. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Awesome skyline and river views.
Hated the bed being so low. Pillows were uncomfortable. The room we stayed in was considered an upgrade to a luxury queen. There was nothing luxurious about the room. It looked more like the inside of an RV if you ask me. Hated the bathroom. Tiny shower, but huge tub. No door on the bathroom wet space. Toilet closet was super tiny. Not worth the money.
Small room and bathroom
Very very poor service and poor room.
We loved the location. The staff were helpful and the restaurants excellent.
We had asked for a room on a high floor as it was a special occasion, we both rang and emailed but we're disappointed to find we had not been allocated one. However we did manage to change rooms but had to pay more. Rooftop bar was unavailable most nights for functions, which was a pity
The Standard has super cool decor and you can't beat the location if you want to stay in the heart of the Meatpacking District. The views from my room of the Hudson River were spectacular.
Service was hit or miss. While most of the staff was friendly and helpful some definitely had a "too cool" for the guests attitude. The shower was basically in the same "room" as the sink there is no separate shower space. Cool concept but the reality was a very wet floor in front of the sink when getting ready for the evening.
Room is tired and worn
