Score from 312 reviews Excellent
Very nice hotel, nice rooms, excellent staff , very friendly and helpfull,The ambience full of life, the design very smart! The location is very good, you could explore all the areas chelsea.soho, village, tribeca, bowery, battery park and you could go until Union Square from the other side on foot!!!
Very small closet and nothing to hang towels at the bathroom.
Excellent location, fabulous bed, linen and amenities, super clean, exquisite food. Good service in restaurant, super housekeeping!
The hotel has become a bit of a nightclub on the week end, which we didn't like. Busy, noisy and hard to get to the rooms because of people trying to get to 18th. It is also not cool that hotel guests are not welcome at any time to the Top of the Standard Bar. It should always be open to guests.
Location location location. Near all the bars and restaurants of lower Manhattan. Perfect base for partying.
The location is supreme... Right in the heart of the meatpacking district
The hotel needs renovation. It is dirty in the corners and things just seems ver used. For instance there was absolutely no water pressure in the shower which makes showering less fun and less easy. Daily annoyance at $350 pr night...
The style, the environment, the staff. the restaurants and bars around and of course, the location.
The absolute lack of privacy in the bathroom. At least a door to segregate it from the room and a curtain to separate the shower from the room were in order.
Location, staff & vibe just right - and the extra 'late check-out' ahead of a long flight home much appreciated.
The only negative was the elevators; they are too dark and everyone we encountered using them had trouble finding the right button to push, to get to their floor. Trying too hard to be hip?!
Location and the concierge.
Not being given the type of room we had paid for until we objected. It was acknowledged that we had paid for a better room and eventually we were moved. But it was unnecessary.
the location the view nearby restaurants
not so clean (wet area in the setting area) no toothbrush or paste no free drinking water
Every emerging was amazing I cannot complain about this place at all. Can't wait to come back
Delux King Room was great, well designed, great view and good bed
Reception seemes really understaffed, always a big queue often with no one there. We were given wrong info about the bars at the top of the hotel so would have had to queue in the rain to get up, so passed on that.
Room view over Lower Manhattan and the Hudson, room style, cleanliness, comfort, location in the trendy, well-located and relatively quiet Meatpacking district
Staff were friendly but rooftop bar was too snooty and had a restrictive door policy based on what you looked like/were dressed like
The location , the gym , the shop and reception staff
Too noisy on the upper floors due to the terrace on 18th
the location and foods
the bed was really very small
Obviously all great. Meatpacking, views, style, people.
Do not stay close to elevators (you will hear them 24/7) or high floors as you will have to be clubbing even in your room. We moved rooms and our stay defintely got better.
Helpful and friendly staff along with a comfortable room made this a a great stay for us and we will definitely return again!
That we couldn't stay longer.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is always buzzing with people. Trendy but no attitude.
Room surprisingly small and very little cupboard space. The usual supply of personal toiletries expected in hotels of this standard was well below par. Rooms looking a bit tired.
View from every aspect of the room was spectacular especially as the Hudson was shifting frozen ice.
The club upstairs had a private event we were informed that hotel guests could get in after 10pm, fair enough but would need to queue outside!!...who queues outside for a hotel bar when you're staying there ?! You don't...staff members said we were not the first to complain ...hotel mgmt obviously in over their heads on how to tackle that issue. We spent our cash at the Gansevoort roof top bar instead a block away.
Good location, cool place, always cabs outside, good restaurants, awesome view, good gym
Noise from nightclub, tiny rooms, tiny shower, expensive for the size of room and amenities
A little bit expensive...
Ambiance and style
Location and views and cool decor
Worst customer care that I have ever experienced. really bad. If you are under 30 and a cool kid it is probably the best hotel ever. If you are not a model or film star they wont let you in the cool bars on busy nights. Fine on quiet nights but your money not good enough when busy. I snook up and saw these "cool people" bar sweeping as they couldn't afford drinks then saw some slightly overweight girls refused entry go to the downstairs bar and order some fizz. Go figure. Very superficial place. Ugly door policy. Hotel guests have NO priority entry to hotel bar. How bad is that when paying 500 bucks a night.
EVERITHINGS, AMAZING ROOF BAR, 3 RESTAURANT, EXCELLENT FOOD
I WOULD LIKE FINDI A SAUNA ... BUT IT IS NOT IMPOORTANT
The view is excellent from all angles!
Hotel staff, room, location location location, view.
You really need to add hooks to bathroom for towels and a bar to hold as you step into bathtub which is quite deep and a little slippery. Im not overweight and am in good physical condition but for ease and safety this is important.
The view from the room was almost the best part of the whole trip. We would just spend ages, staring out of the window!
We were on the 17th floor, (one floor down from the nightclub). Despite me qualifying with reservations that they would not place us under the club. It was only a problem on the Saturday night. Pumping house music until 4:15 am! Husband slept through it, but I certainly didn't.
