The overall experience which first class while being understated
The view over NYC is amazing
Nightclub is very loud if you stay at the top floors as we did
We had to wait in long lines just to get an elevator to our room. An absolute zoo. Ridiculous. WiFi didn't work due to swamped capacity. Had to leave the room that I paid for just to do any work.
Vert good and very good location. it's easy to have fun when you stay in this hotel. Everything is within walking distance of you.
- the beautifull view - the cool night
- quality of sleep: my room was too near to the lifts. That did the night too noisly - too few services
the view, the design, the facilities
music from the club
Staff always showing a big smile Staff always willing to help Fun place with fun people Has an amazing example of everything you may need: great food, great rooms, great amenities, quit during the day n beating during the night, views to die for from the top, unbeatable location. And again, staff's job was just perfect.
View and location.
Size of the rooms. Poor value for money. No attention to details.
We loved the views from our room and the decor of the hotel. There are great bars and restaurants in the hotel. The staff was great and the meatpacking district has great shopping, restaurants, and the highline.
Loved the funky room layout with the window between the bedroom and the bath. Views outstanding, and the location was excellent - walked the High Line park end to end and ate in nearby restaurants. Had a delightful stay.
view location the bar on the top floor modern facilities young people
staff were arrogant expensive drinks+food
The view, the pillows.
Wifi was poor and unstable.
A great hotel with awesome food options. But modern style sacrifices functionality with small rooms, little storage, tiny closet and cool but tiny bathroom. Views are great but if you do anything but sleep in you're room the style is not functional. The see through bathroom layout is cool but can pact your partner whoay beg trying to sleep a bit while you use the facilities. The attitude to access the roof top lounge is in necessary. I'm glad we did this once but there are less expensive more comfortable hotels in the amazing meat packing district.
They don't know How to Host. Absolutely Unfriendly
almost everything was great!
Particularly at Le Bain and on the rooftop terrace you aretreated like a second class citizen. A little less arrogance would definitely be desirable.
comfy bed, amazing views.
small thing but there's no body moisturiser in the room... oh and the toilet is like a cupboard!
Best location. Staff friendliness. Atmosphere around the neighbourhood. Stunning room view over NYC downtown skyline. Great food (Standard Grill). Very clean and stylish room. Super comfortable bed.
A bit noisy nightclubs. Weird cigarette smoke smell from toilette ventilation (non smoking hotel). "Arctic cold" air con temperature in corridor.
This is my story: I stayed at Standard hotel few years ago when it was just opened and it was absolutely great. My boyfriend and I decided to stay in the same place for our anniversary and I booked the room with note to be on the highest floor possible and far from the elevator to avoid the noise. I am very sensitive to it. When I arrived yesterday around 3pm I was offered the room 506 and the girl at the front desk said that it was the only available room without even making any effort to accommodate my initial request. The room was facing construction and was extremely noisy and just impossible for me to stay there. I went downstairs and another gentlemen was very nice and without any issues offered me another room 1605. This room was much better with nice bath tub and almost no noise. I dropped my bag and right away I went downstairs to grab the coffee and to meet my boyfriend who arrived about 40 minutes later. When we entered the room he discovered USED CONDOM on the right side of the bed next to the wall. This was disgusting and totally unacceptable. Just imagine what do I have to explain to my boyfriend at that point. I called downstairs and the hotel staff arrived immediately to see the issue. We were offered to move to room 915 on the lower floor again and nothing else. Besides the fact that the circumstances were totally unacceptable we are talking about health concerns. How come the cleaning staff didn't notice it? how do they clean the rooms? And nobody knows for how log this used condom was there and who used it... UHHH... JUST DISGUSTING! We went on the roof top for a drink and with the price of the cocktail of $18 we were charged $21 for each just because we ordered the cocktail not on the rocks but up. And we were told that this is a policy in NY???? I am in NY all the time and NEVER in any type of restaurants or bars at any levels were told that the price is different just because it was served in a different glass.
I really liked the location. I liked the restraunt on the roof top and the club bellow.
The furniture was a little out dated in the rooms, and the video in the elevator scared me.
Location is the best as it is in Chelsea Are near restaurants , bars , and shops. It is near the Chelsea Market which is very interesting.
Bathroom , there is no privacy whatsoever Rooftop of the hotel is impossible to enter due to long lines.
the bed - so comfortable the mod design of the room the views the HUGE bath
no door between the bathroom and rest of the room. not a big deal but not ideal.
excellent location and nice view
staff were a bit up themselves
