The Standard is the best get away in the USA. The pool and the Spa outstanding. Mina Gough the Spa Director is the best ever and the services and yoga and Wellness program are amazing.

The food is the only thing I feel that needs much improvement and they need to have more daily specials for guests that stay there for awhile.

Understated luxury, awesome pool and landscape setting, adult summer camp vibe; hydrotherapy options, especially the mud lounge; spa treatments; didn't want to leave

Fantastic stay! Booked a ground floor Large Garden Room (room 30). It was perfect. The hotel is minutes away in a car, from the main strip of Collins, but feels like a tranquil haven, so you can recharge and do it all over again! I travel round the world as part of my job and have been lucky to always stay in great places. This one beats its LA sister hotel by far. The staff are incredible, bed luxuriously comfortable, the spa blissful, Excellent changing room showers to get ready for that flight home (sad face). The food is healthy or indulgent and there are 4 menus throughout the day, so if you choose to stay by the pool all day (stunning views), you have a huge choice. Also in the crazy heat the hotel are sensible enough to not charge for water... You are kept hydrated with complimentary ice water - served to your lounger. This is where a lot of the local A list come to 'spa', very relaxing hammam. Overall fantastic value. Definitely try the coconut water - an actual coconut with a straw put in it... organic coconut rum is optional! What the concierge, named Crispy, doesn't know about the Miami scene - ain't worth knowing. She pretty much planned our attendance to pool parties, clubs, etc. A great coffee shop is on site, selling gluten free addictive brownies, sandwiches and salads. Special shout out to Terrence who always warmly greated us on our early hours returns to the hotel after a great night out.

A tiny gripe which didnt effect us after day 1... a couple of the junior staff waiting on the pool customers were a little slow. The more senior members (namely Adam, Derek and a Polynesian guy who's name escapes me) were certainly earning their tips!

Everything about this hotel was amazing. From the moment we checked in the staff made my husband and I feel so great. The management team were around talking and making sure there guests had everything they needed. The spa was one of the best spas that my husband and I have been too. Everyone who worked at the Standard Hotel were so friendly and helpful. I would like to mention Alex he helped us with our luggages and showed us where everything was an incredible person loved him.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions, and am welcomed back by the staff. Hotel grounds are stunning and very well maintained. Had a fantastic massage, pedicure and manicure in the spa. Food quality is consistently good and fresh.

Pool service. For the first couple hours by the pool, getting even a glass of water or ordering a drink was near impossible. Even though there was probably over a dozen guests by the pool, constantly had to go out of my way to flag someone down. Also, if the pool is supposed to be smoke free, please enforce it. Don't make guests awkward by having them pose the question to staff. Nothing worse that soaking up the sun, only to inhale someone's nasty cigarette...

This is a pefect place for the Yoga lovers out their. Very calm and relaxed. Staff are top class.

Sadly this was booked for us and we were looking for something a bit lively and walking distance to bars and restaurants and this isnt.

My account was overdrafted an obscene amount of money for a charge that the front desk couldn't seem to figure out. I noticed the authorization before I left and the front desk assured me that my card wouldn't be charged. But it was charged and I am still trying to hunt down the front desk managers to get the money back.

The Spa was well equipped, The Guy at the front Desk was Nice

Terrible dingy dark rooms, Rooms were really tiny and almost suffocating. No rooms have any views, and all of them were very dark and dingy. Walls between rooms were paper thin- I could hear conversations from the next room very clearly. There were noises all night from people walking on the floor above us. The Private balconies are not private at all, its just a few curtains tied to eachother- The Hotel must NOT call them private. The elevator to the Spa was very poorly maintained, and almost scary to be in. The pool was filthy. A lot of all male groups coming in taking up space in the pool making it difficult for a couple to have a nice time. Absolutely no value for money, its like a very cheap motel.. would not recommend to anyone.
