Nice area. Quiet
Pool facilties. Room fittings and fixtures. Helpfull and friendly staff
- frindly and accomodating staff -location and view -pools and jacuzzi -good bed and bedding set - simple and modern furniture, without being cluttered - excellent coffe and tea in the lobby - functional, modern and clean bathrooms - availability of the bikes, although rental
- missing sauna or stream room which prior hotel had - noisy heater
Spacious, quiet and well equipped, delightfully helpful assistant at check-in.
Nothing really - breakfast is a limited choice in a restaurant in town.
Calistoga is relaxing with easy access to fantastic wineries.
The walls are a bit thin....
-Location -modern interior, clean and cosy -nice staff -handy hotel pool with jacuzzi -plenty of wine choices around!!
absolutely nothing! good work lads with the hotel!! Cheers.
Exceptionally clean and modern room. Tea and coffee making facilities were perfect. Nice to have the opportunity to use the pool and hot tub on site.
Room located on front of property, close to the road which became busy early in the morning. Breakfast included but unusual to have to travel to local café for it. You had a choice of a pastry; toast or bagel & drink!. It was a nice café just a strange experience for breakfast.
I've been staying at this motel for years off and on. It still has the motel look but the rooms are retro remodel, very cool. Comfortable room and friendly staff. At the end of Calistoga where it meets Silverado trail great for biking.
Still a motel for the increase in price. They could create privacy between rooms and provide outdoor seating at least for some rooms. Pool and spa are adequate.
Excellent rooms Comfy beds Designer bathroom Location close to wineries
I liked the retro look of the room. It was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable.
The hot tub got too hot to use the second night there, but that was probably a fluke. I'm not a real fan of the rain shower type shower head.
The over head shower head
I stayed at the Sunburst while attending bootcamp at Culinary Institute of America, in St. Helena. To say that it exceeded my expectations is an understatement. I mainly chose it, as it was reasonably priced, had a pool, and looked clean/cute...a place to hang my toque when home from school. The host at the front desk (I wish I could remember his name), was so welcoming, and nice. Because I was staying for 5 nights, they upgraded my room from a Queen Bed, to a King Suite!!! I was blown away. Who does that? That set the tone for my stay. I stepped into my room, and again, totally surprised at just how cute my room was. Bamboo floors, orange Mid-Century couch. Both rooms had big-screen televisions. The bed was SUPER comfy...not to hard, not too soft...just right :) The bathroom was very stylish with black and white tiles. It was very clean. The staff was accommodating. It was such a great place to stay for my week in Napa. I will be back!! Thank you so much!!
The room was bright, clean and inviting. They did a great job on renovating this motel. We wer upgraded to a suite because we were celebrating our anniversary. The staff was helpful and happy. We loved the complimentary coffee and muffin pass to the Coffee Roastery in Calistoga. The walk into town was refreshing..
The on the ceiling placed straight down shower head took a little getting used to.
I have been coming to Calistoga for decades, most places are over priced and have too many restrictions AND the staff do not care at all about customer service. Sunburst Calistoga staff were super helpful, friendly, professional and this out weighs any shortcomings of the facility. A bonus is that they allow children in their pools and the facility is pet friendly.
Key cards kept malfunctioning The rooms are incredibly small It would have been great to have a microwave in the room
Loved the aesthetic and grounds. Staff members were really nice - pool was lovely! Location was super close to downtown Calistoga, restaurants and bars.
It's close to the speedway so you can hear cars racing - interrupts a bit of the tranquility but other than that it was great!
Perfect place if you dont plan to spend much time at your hotel. Its clean and no frills. Modern furniture.
The pillows were TERRIBLE. bring your own pillows.
Great location, newness of rooms and all amenities (tv, furniture, kurig coffee!). Loved the outdoor pools and jacuzzi too! Very crisp and clean property - excellent job in resurrecting this hotel!
The walls are thin, no doubt but for the most part after 10pm everyone is pretty much asleep so not really an issue...just funny when you are showering you can literally hear your neighbor shaving...
Hip decor. Great water temperatures in the pools. Very clean.
Pool spa cleanliness
Shower head was terrible
Wonderful check in! Fantastic room and a great location. The surrounding area and vineyards were great too! The thermal pool and jacuzzi were an added bonus!
the staff and comfort were excellent
Nice pools, nicely remodeled pools; huge bathroom
Nowhere to hang clothes - no closet; no chair or table in the room (219); noisy - traffic and neighbors; some guests were smoking ; no bathrobes in our room (others had them ); indifferent staff. Stark front of the hotel - no greenery on the side where our room was...no shade. Service needs to be better!
Clean rooms and cute property. Staff is very friendly.
Walls are very thin and you can hear the people in the room next to you very clearly.
As we were departing Calistoga very early on the morning of the 28th we settled our account on the evening of the 27th informing the receptionist of this detail. The young receptionist got the whole account in a muddle and I thought that we had straightened out all the details including payment for the evening of the 27th.. After an extended holiday we arrive home to find our credit card charged with the amount of $352.26 FX13.12. translating to AUD$ 388.14. On checking our statement from Sunburst I discovered that we had not been charged for accomodation for the night of the 27th June.$209+Room Tax $25.08+NVTID $4.18 a total of $238.26. Sunburst have charged my credit card an excessive amount for the room for the 27th and I would like you to refund my credit card with the difference of USD $114.00. I will be in contact with you regarding this refund and intend to take the matter further if my credit card is not credited with $114.00 within the near future. Yours sincerely Helen Prentice Room 204 Folio 54527 Check in 6/24/2014 Check out 06/28/2014
Location is good. Close to town on one side and hiking trails and wineries on the other.
Hotel is clearly a road side motel that has been oddly converted to a "hotel"...funky looking, but the location and ease of parking is good. Our friends checked in at the same rate (rack rate) as we did and were given details on free shuttle service as well as vouchers for free breakfast at a local coffee shop each morning of their stay. The front desk clerk never alerted us of this amenity, so we were unable to use them. Would have been nice...
