Welcoming and familiar atmosphere, nice homey room, well furnished and with good bathroom and shower. Don't expect the Plaza, but this is a nice place for a family vacation.

Unfortunately there is no facility for breakfast or and you have to do it in your room, buying stuff from a supermarket near by.

Keurig coffee in the morning Pool and surrounding patio furniture, great for early evening and morning swims/entertaining Quiet room away from street (tucked in the corner)

Double room was a bit small with only one bathroom window, but the most affordable one available

    Very convenient location, wonderful staff

Room was very small, a little musty. I don't like the way hotels now have a sheet and then a comforter - makes for sweaty nights.

The sushi place a couple of block away - Cafe 242 Fusion Sushi. Best I've ever had.

The water has a bit of sulfur in it.

Location was within walking distance of the centre of Laguna Beach. Staff were extremely helpful. Beautiful beach was a short walk. Nice pool.

Parking in some slots was difficult - scraped car bottom on bump in approach for two positions - gave up and parked on back road. Air conditioning was noisy when set to cool the room to a reasonable temperature. The price for the room was quite expensive.

The Tides was a getaway for my daughter and her boy friend. They had a great time and thought the place was. Darling.

The location was good. Staff was friendly. Room was clean.

Noisy room, but earplugs were provided. Definitely a low end, old facility, but updated and clean. Our room was right next to the road. I think it was one of the worst rooms in the hotel. We booked late. We only stayed one night. The pool area closed by 10:30 p.m. It was not enough time to enjoy the fire pit after the Pageant of the Masters was over.

The location is excellent! Within walking distance to all the fun in Laguna Beach...especially the beach! I would choose The Tides again.

The Tides was very clean, but I must say, for the cost of the room, there were a few things a little run down. I guess I expected more "quality" for the price tag.

It's clean and the staff is nice.

It looks like a Gas Station: It is too expensive for a regular motel. The pool is not pleasant. The room floor looks like a kitchen floor.

The location is close to downtown Laguna and across the street from beach access. Friendly staff.

The price is WAY too high for the room and amenities! The rooms are very small and in disrepair.

location, location, location, friendliness of staff, all amenities in limited space, including adequate parking though tight.

A bit cramped and dated, but location and price compensate for limitations.

The proximity to the beach, local restaurants and art galleries. The pool area was really lovely and the shower was fantastic! The staff were also very accomodating when we arrived after office hours.

The wifi was a bit patchy at times but not un-usable

Functional lodging, ac worked, plumbing worked. Heisler Park Beach proximity and access was great Salt water pool was refreshing and we appreciated the pool towels

Noisy, right on highway, parking in back (my car was hit by a resident backing out of their garage), room smelled like food, poor quality of room furnishings, linens, pillows, this place needs updating. Not very close to main shopping and restaurants.

The location to the beach was perfect for us. We brought our dog and it was close enough to take him for a walk each day. Yes, it is a pet friendly place. Las Brisas restauranct is the only restaurant within walking distance and they have fabulous seafood.

The Tides is located on PCH and even though they have doubled paned windows, the sound of the traffic is still audible with the windows closed. Not many restaurants in the vicinity.

Although the rooms are small & amenities average, they managed to have charm & were comfortable for a short stay. Bathroom was the only room that caused me to downgrade due to poor placement of light switches & a very low shower ceiling. There is some road noise due to proximity to PCH, but didn't find it terrible to deal with.

Bathroom wall switch poorly placed & shower ceiling too low. Expected road noise due to proximity to PCH, which there was. Overall, a god value for the $$.
