Loved everything. Didn't want to leave. Will definitely return to this hotel :)
The room was too old and bathroom shower broken , no hot water , the bed very bad
The location and price was very convenient and the staff was very nice, even the doormen, desk staff, waiters, housekeeping. The bed was OK and was clean.
Condition of the hotel is very poor, not clean, repaint evidence is all over the place, carpets dingy, walls and trim damaged, grouting poor, and the TV picture quality was awful.... this place needs a make-over, and getting through the halls feels like you are walking through the maintenance and housekeeping areas....these are not hidden away!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful, hotel was 2 minutes walk to Times Square, can't fault it.
Room needs some TLC. paint, caulking and new Carpet. bathroom more TLC tub and tile were in bad shape. will look for another hotel next trip to NYC
The staff was very helpful, pleasant and professional. They were willing to go the extra mile especially the Bell man. The location was very convenient close to shopping in Times Square and 5th avenue.
Hotel was too expensive for the quality of the room. The room was a bit small and no closet to store luggage. The bed was not really comfortable.
The location is the best part of The Time. Beds are comfy, and linens were great. Cozy and I must say, very quiet.
The worst part of the stay was the poor ventilation in the room. After a shower, the entire room felt like a steam room. Literally, I changed in the hallway to not be so clammy before braving the cold NYC temps.
Thought it was nice that they offered wine to celebrate his birthday although we declined as he doesn't drink liquor. Initially surprised about the upgrade to a suite.
We were downgraded from a king bed to a queen bed in a compact room resulting in no t a good sleep since my fiance is 6'3"; the "green" sign in the bathroom that said that we should utilize the towels more than once; the broken wall lamp coming out of the wall in the bedroom; and the cardboard of a sofa. Additionally, when we called to inquire about the upgrade we were left on hold for a long time and eventually hung up as we had broadway tickets as a birthday celebration. But, no one called us back. And, I left my cell phone charger in the room after we checked out 3hours earlier and was given voicemail. We had taken the car out of the garage and had to find parking again in order to go back to hotel to retrieve the charger.
The staff was extremely helpful. Stella at the front desk helped me retrieve theatre tickets and print them online and although we had difficulty, she was so patient and wonderful. So was the head concierge, although I did not get his name, he was terrific as was Manuel at the door. FIVE STARS ON YOUR STAFF.
I guess from the money we spent we did get what we paid for. My daughter and I come every year and stay at the Hilton on the Ave. of Americas. We tried the Times, but I am afraid to say, we will be going back to the Hilton. The rug was very dirty in the room, the view was a brick wall and the closet had a shower curtain as a door. No coffee in the room. I was very surprised, as the poorest hotels I have been to in St.Marten even had a drip coffee pot. I could not get the lights off in the room so sleep was difficult. Some lights in the closet had no switch I could see. I am sorry to give such a poor review, but I was very disappointed. The room was so small even for the two of us.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff.
Very noisy building work at nearby property went on 24/7. Not the quietest of locations anyway but that certainly didn't help.
A minute walk from time square and a nice walk to every interesting place in Manhattan midtown and downtown. Also very cose to metro (subway) station.
Room furniture has improving opportunities. free wifi only in lounge.
Location was awesome
access to midtown/ location
rooms and bathroom is very small
Location is amazing! I only used a taxi to get to the hotel from the airport and again to return to the airport. It is within walking distance to many great landmarks. I ran in Central Park, walked to the Holiday Window Displays and topped off the night with "The Book of Mormons" right next door!!
Some features in the bathroom made it feel a little run down (rust on the shower rod). For this reason I may think twice about referring to discerning friends. However I will return anytime I am there for a few nights. I had a hard time controlling the heat temperature so I kept it turned it off.
Great location in the heart of the theatre district. Nice lobby lounge and bar. Price was very good for the location.
Room was a little small and bathroom fixtures were a little dated, but it was clean and overall fine for my needs.
Warming system, do not work at all. I changed my room and new room had same problem. They changed my room and send me to larger one, and wanted me to pay extra charge! So I left there and moved to another hotel.
Nice comfy bed, great location.
Shower flooded the floor and the cost of this hotel is a lot, but having stayed in New York before I knew that you don't get a lot for your money.
Location Friendly Staff
Great location, helpful staff.
Location was great, a street from the direct metro to JFK, one block from time square, warm rooms clean
The blinds didn't open as high as I would have expected but no big deal, Our view was also over a rooftop which wasn't the best but to be honest we werent in the room much
Location Bar Staff Comfortable bed
Poor lighting in rooms - no ceiling lights Small bathroom No tea/ coffee making facilities
Location is good right next to Time square. Competitive price given the location, but basic end of 4* market.
Very noisy bar so you'll want to have a room on the upper floors. Over looked by a neighbouring hotel so you'll want to keep the curtains closed. Décor is tired.
Minutes to theaters, restaurants, landmarks and trains. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable for three.
The hotel needs renovating, which I found out will begin after the first of the year.
Dirty & old ripped carpet in room.
Room was good Close to broadway and 50th street station
No drink making facilities take your own kettle like I did Shower took about 15mis for hot water to run so much for saving energy Room 417 was a very quite room with no views
