Great location on the Mile! Close to water, attractions, shopping etc.
Air conditioner didn't work - it was 80 degree's at 2:00am. Their solution, open the window. No gym, no store, no facilities.
Great location Staff seemed friendly Good TV with wide choice of channels
My room looked out onto an alley, where rubbish trucks/dumptrucks came in the early hours and made a huge amount of noise. I would often be woken up at 5am because of this. A real shame...
Location, great/friendly staff, comfy bed.
Shower didn't drain until ten minutes after your shower was over, toilet was very difficult/shoddy at best to flush, bathroom door wouldn't close.
Location, fairy big room, well equiped, nice staff
the noise from some equipment outside the building
We loved the "boutique" hotel feel of this historic building. The location couldn't have been better - a block away from Michigan Ave and Water Tower Place. Our room was comfortable and quiet. I slept like a rock!
Bathroom fixtures and plumbing need updating. They are all functional, just a bit outdated. Bathroom door squeaked and the door knob was loose. There was no TV Channel guide in room or on-screen so we had to flip through dozens of channels to find the one we were looking for.
1.very small room 2. furniture banged up at little 3. marks on walls 4. very slow check-out on departure 5. water leaking from ceiling in lounge/tarps covered the floor 6.charge for continental breakfast
The hotels location was excellent for seeing the sights of Chicago. It as a bar/ restaurant attached to it which was not overly priced and the food was really good. We all enjoyed our stay there and would return to the Tremont Chicago hotel in the future. Jacky Martin uk
I took the stairs as I do not like lifts. The staircase looked as if it was falling apart. Parts of the walls were crumbling away and quite dirty.
Bed was comfortable and room spacious. It is located in a very fancy area, very safe and near subway station (3 blocks), shopping center (Water Towers) and Navy Pier. Good and diverse eating options in the nearby.
I stayed at a attached building (what was a surprise for me!). I had to sleep facing a wall from the neighboor building. There was also a constant noise from ar-conditioning (or the like) ALL NIGHT LONG! Though I had asked for wake up calls, I realized they didn't call me: my phone was not working for receiving calls! I really didn't know I had booked a room at the annex-building (It was really desapointing!)
The bed was great. Bath did not have a separate shower ....my husband needed a little bit more security for showering. Next time we would ask for a handicap room.
A little breakfast would be nice.
Absolutely everything. Thank you for having us.
The bathroom could be updated?
noise from ventilation ducts
- excellent location, close to Magnificent Mile, John Hancock Tower and shopping. - very comfortable bed and pillows - very quiet - excellent & helpful staff - great pricing
- feel continental breakfast should have been included. - The hotel is in the process of completing renovations. Our room was 3/4 updated, some furniture and the bathroom still needed a bit of updating but it was clean, comfortable and a great price for the location.
The heating system. The internet connection. Breakfast too expensive for what they serve.
The Tremont is tucked in off the Mag Mile. It is a cozy hotel with a great and knowledgable staff. Overall I found the room to be quiet and loved that I could open the window and use the ceiling fan. Some city noise crept in, but that's life in the city!
The paint job in my room was funny. It was very poorly done. But I didn't spend much time dwelling on that. My mattress was pitted toward the middle of the bed. But I slept better here than most hotels.
The location was perfect for the work my daughter was doing. I drove from Michigan to spend some time with her and the suite was a comfortable space in which to do that.
Unfortunately I stayed at the Tremont when they had not yet switched from cooling to heating. The front desk did not inform us, until we were quite cold trying to turn up the heat, that we should turn it OFF as we were blowing cold outside air on ourselves. Being told at check-in would have helped emensely.
The staff was great, friendly and courteous.
There was no heat in my room. I was unable to sleep at all since the temperature in my room was 62 degrees. I didn't drink anything for fear I'd have to get up to go the bathroom and freeze even more!! I asked for extra blankets and received extra sheets. The sheets and pillows had a funky smell to them and I found a black hair (not mine) in the sheets. One of the WORST hotel stays in my life!!
Location, staff and facilities.
Perfect location if you are looking to stay in the Gold Coast. Great price, beautiful facade, beautiful lobby, high end restaurant, and very friendly staff. This hotel is smack dab in the middle of one of the chicest areas of Chicago; a great bargain for sure. Extremely comfortable beds, clean linens, and great maid service.
The walls are super thin and I could hear every door slam, every conversation in the hall, and every elevator coming and going. The elevators themselves are small and, very slow and there was usually a cue waiting for them. The front desk is in a very awkward place and it creates a bottleneck when people are checking in, or out, or the bellman has a luggage cart, or there's a dog, it there's more than three people in the vicinity. My room had quite a bit of cosmetic work that needed to be addressed, which would have made me feel like this was indeed a vintage gem of a hotel.
great location, very comfortable bed
mild mildew odor, very old building. in need of an updated HVAC and fresh paint.
Location is very good.
Hotel was not flexible at all in solving an issue with an extra night cancellation. They have not even replied to our emails.
Very poor breakfast....even weak coffee...for 10 bucks. A waste. Should have avoided. Was under impression it was free but even if free it was a waste.
The location was great. The mattress was very comfortable. Ditka's restaurant was on the main floor.
The room was very very small. The view was an alley and apartments across from the hotel.
The hotel was a in a great location for all the sights, shops and restaurants. Navy pier was close by within walking distance or you could get a bus. The hotel was good clean towels and maid service every day I would stay there again.
