Great staff and nice room!
Snow plows in the morning..too loud!
Perfect weekend getaway - this place looks like it's right out of a holiday postcard. I'm already planning a return trip!
How relaxing and nice the rooms are
Elevators are slow
Excellent pool and facilities. 600 free dvds on offer if you don't wish to leave your room. Washing facilities.
A group of 7 of us stayed at the Village Lodge and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It had a very grand feel as soon as you walk in, which was great after a long drive. Great rooms with a large kitchen/ dining area that had all the utensils. Had underground parking and great facilities including a gym and laundry room. The staff were absolutely lovely and we had no issues with our stay here at all. The surrounding area has loads of shops and restaurants and the views of the mountains are good. Will definitely visit again!
The location of the room was very nice with its private balcony. The shoulder season is quiet which means that if you're trying to get away for a peaceful retreat, this is exactly the place for it. You get the comfort, the beauty of the location, while being not away from it all because it is still the village Lodge.
Sorry not to have the option of a bedroom with two double or queen sized beds. They only have that in a two room option at a higher price.
Hotel was beautiful, I loved everything about. We went in October so was very quiet nearly everything was closed but we just went for hikes and walks rather than ski resort. Toomey's restaurant was excellent highly recommend this place to eat. There would be so much to do in season but can be relaxing also.
Room faced the village area, could be noisy at night.
Sierra bldg attractive, clean, tidy, exc location for village retail, eateries. Efficient staff. 1 bdrm appmnt spacious & attractively furnished, had everything. Balcony & view of mntn. Elevator, secure u/cover car pking & big easy cheap guest laundry room. Housekeeping staff excellent.
Hotel info suggested WIFI available in Lobby. We could get in room on Lobby floor but was sporadic. And annoying. Efficient WIFI really needs to be freely available all rooms.
Spacious, quiet, in the center of everything (there is not much else around). Lovely facility. easy in and out. Caveat that we were not there during ski season, so cannot comment whether apppropriate facilities for skiiers, but a gondola to top of mountain leaves from right there in the complex.
All was good.
We had a huge condo with large bedrooms and communal area with kitchen & dining area. Staff were very attentive
We were there off season. I suspect certain rooms could suffer from outside noise when the resort is buzzing.
Stayed during shoulder season so the resort was nearly empty. Fireplace worked wonders. Room was very spacious. Bathroom was huge. Kitchenette was fairly good (appliances could use an upgrade but all in working oder). Insulation was fantastic. Services were great. The few village shops that were open (and restaurants) were quite good. About an hour's drive to Yosemite east entrance. Room and experience as a whole was extremely comfortable.
The kitchen tap fixture was loose, but this didn't bother me. I told the receptionist on checkout out of courtesy.
it's greatest rooms and bed. I could take sleep well and make cleaning my head.
We really loved our studio and the hotel and we will be definitely coming back!
They upgraded our lodging from Studio to One bedroom
We went in off season and a lot of the restaurants were closed. Also having to leave
Nice apartments with everything you need in the kitchen, heated pool and onsite parking.
The fire alarm in the apartment was useless, kept going off when I boiled water. Had to climb up and disable it to enjoy coffee.
Great, comfortable beds.
Lovely room very pretty setting
Check in isn't until 4 which is a bit late.
We liked the whole ambience of the Village Lodge though it was a bit 'rabbit warren-y' to get around and rather impersonal. Our apartment was well decorated and supplied with everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
Although there were cafes and restaurants around the area, it was slightly between seasons so not so many open. The restaurant attached to the complex was disgusting, dirty, loud, ghastly 'cardboard' food with no taste. Unfortunate!
Everything! Friendly helpful staff, large room, comfortable beds, big bath, heated pool and 4 jacuzzis. Cosy village atmosphere.
Couldn't fault a thing
We were straight away given an upgrade to a suite which was fantastic. Like being in a superb log cabin but part of a large complex. Looking through the items in the room, everything you would ever need, from scissors, kitchen items etc. marvellous and thanks
There was nothing we did not like.
EVERYTHING. Suite room. Parking. Huge bed.Towel Mammoth in bathroom. Robes.Balcony.Fully kitted out fitchen. HUGE Smart TV with ALL the channels. Starbucks across the street. Ideal for Winter skiers. Pool. Hot Pool and Jacuzzi. Fabulous.
A bit pricey but so much bang for your buck. Beautiful place.
came really early to clean our room, they never came back
Suite was great, staff at front desk very helpful and friendly. We stayed in September so off season so was not too busy. Lovely surroundings.
Can`t fault anything really.
I like the location, staff, the condo.
This time the bed was uncomfortable!
stayed in a 'condo' - a hotel suite with kitchen facilities. Everything you might have needed was there. Appreciated kitchen extras like dishwasher powder, kitchen roll etc. Airconditioning unit provided. we visited 'between seasons' and enjoyed our visit. Very comfortable.
nothing - it was a large resort so if you don't like those stay away
