This hotel, right off Interstate 66, has a view of the Potomac River and Washington D.C. It has an on-site restaurant and a fitness center that overlooks the indoor pool.

Hotel location close to All the things we wanted to see in DC . Metro was close, our first time riding a subway and to visit DC we loved it. Rooms were clean and spacious, bed very comfortable, room service excellent job cleaning rooms . Kitchen was a plus . Front desk and shuttle drivers went above and beyond to help us in any way. Ryan, Eda, Ana ,Aaron and Eyob I want to say a big thank you. We loved our stay at Virginian Suites . It made our 50th anniversary very special life event. The DC visit was great, everyone was kind and helpful. Would stay at Virginian again if in DC area.
Didn't have any dislikes about hotel.
The location was great- if you are not driving, metro is walking distance .Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Comfortable and spacious room- lots of place to spread out.
Felt dated and tired- the place could use a face lift, though they say they are doing it in stages. Kitchen needed work. Bed was too soft for me- rolled to middle with two of us- we had a queen
Although I don't cook but good to have small kitchen.
I stayed here twice. My first stay is 5 nights, then I went to San Francisco and back to stay here for another 3 nights. They first gave me the room on the 5th floor where I could hear the construction downstair very clear. I told the reception (lady), she said "the construction will be done tonight" which is totally wrong. Next morning I was waken up by the construction which is extremely loud like it was under my bed. I called the reception and finally I move to 9th floor. The staff both know nothing what's going on in the hotel and just answered (wrongly). However, they fixed it. The worst thing is on the day I came back for my 2nd stay (2/9/14 early in the morning), I went to get my baggage I left with the hotel. The male staff asked the coffee guy (I saw him clean coffee counter, Asian-looking) to give me my baggage. The coffee guy complained again and again that my bag is heavy, although I helped him. What made me write this feedback is when I pull in the hotel trolley (as I have 2 bags from San Francisco), there is a small plastic garbage on the the troller, he picked up the garbage, raised it up to my face and asked me "IS this YOURS?". I considered this is very rude and unacceptable. If he was angry being asked to bring my baggage, he should show his anger to the staff who asked him to do, not me. One last thing is this hotel is not close to the metro at all. After get out of the metro, you have to walk to the intersection, cross the road, walk down the road, cross the bridge, cross the road again and walk up the hill. That' why they provide shuttle bus. However, the shutter bus driver is very nice, very polite.
Very nice special touches such as ice cold juice, tea and coffee available all day in lobby. Also bowls of fresh fruit, a pizza evening etc. Complimentary transport to and from metro and grocery store. Spacious accommodation.
Apartment furnishings and decor rather dated. Better management system needed in laundry where guests leave their washing unattended for hours.
Location to Ft Myer; Friendly accommodating staff; roominess in suites; parking
Carpet stains; broken hair dryer and pool already closed
complementary drinks, kids playground across the street, spacious rooms, nice reasonable parking.
cheap pillows, squeaky uncomfortable bed, old kitchen, tilted unusable sofa bed!
free coffe in the lobby, small kitchen, shuttle to the metro station
kitchen needs upgrade
nice and clean, new and complete furnished room
I liked the idea that I could get around to and from Washington with a shuttle that brought us to the metro station and picked us up afterwards. Last one at 9 PM which gives you lots of time.
I don't like to put negative remarks but I think the hotel really needs to start to renew carpets, washrooms and some furniture. It's just old. But it's clean, that's important. I would not have stayed if it wasn't clean.
The room the hotel the parking permits .the hole place was just poor
Cleanliness, & space was a great surprise compared to most other places we have stayed. I think the side bar whith refreshing lemonaide, and water dispensers along with coffee, tea and cocoa was excellent!
Inadequate entrance. Not enough information regarding amenities location, eg, ATM, Vending Machines, and the dining area.
- Room size, kitchen and appliances - Complimentary coffee/lemonade/cookies at the lobby, great! - Complimentary Wi-fi - Swimming pool - guards available throughout the day, good for kids - Breakfast - Parking spaces
- Gym has few options
The warm nature of the staff
The rug had a bit of funny smell hanging on it.
All staff members are very kind. Room is very clean. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the Rosslyn station. (and another shuttle bus to the "Safeway", or to the "Whole foods" too.).It was very useful for me.
The air conditioner of my room was old, so my room was a little bit smells.
I like the free week day rides to and from the Rosslyn metro station, there is also a shuttle bus for grocery shopping to Safeway and whole food shops, their staff are ready to help with a smile on the face, my kids enjoyed the lemonade and cookies in the lobby. On fort Meyer st they have a park (play ground) which I took them to, it's a stone throw from hotel main entrance. Double thumbs up.
Break fast on weeks days closes 9:00am, too early when you're on holiday, At least 10:00am is ok.
Nice and helpful staff Full kitchen Shuttle to/from subway and grocery
building a little bit old AC is noise
Location! Steps from Arlington Cemetery and a couple blocks from the Rosslyn Metro station. Beds were very comfortable and the Staff was very accommodating.
Had a roach in our room. The shuttle to the metro does not run between 2pm and 430pm on the weekdays and never on weekends. If you are going to offer it, offer it every day. The rooms were very outdated, could use a huge spruce up. Air conditioner in the bedroom never got cold.
The kitchen facilities were very helpful during a long stay; The staff was very efficient and nice in all our exchanges.
The fold-out couch could only sleep one person, and very uncomfortably at that! The air conditioning and refrigerator both were not very cold (even turned up to the max setting). More chairs for the desk might have been nice when eating dinner/playing cards.
For the price we paid we cannot fault this place. It's location is great for Arlington and DC. Ten dollar taxi from Central DC. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Not the newest place in town but they were doing work on it. As said earlier good vfm
It did not have a king size bed. Room is not up to date.
Easy walk to Metro at Rosslyn. Nice spacious suites, although slightly "dated". Easy walk to the Quarterdeck Restaurant, that has the best boiled Maryland Blue Crabs anywhere. Make reservation.
DC traffic. Avoid travel anywhere near DC at rush hour. It took two hours to get to DC from Fredericksburg heading north at 9am; it took 40 minutes to get from DC to Fredericksburg heading south at 5:45am.
The room was big
Too early breakfast people on vacation want to sleep a little later. Needs new carpet and needs maintained better
We had two young teenagers and stayed to see DC sites for over a week. We appreciated that we had plenty of room for everyone, great closets, a good area for me to work all very conveniently located and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others as a family friendly place to stay. The boys loved the nightly cookies and always plenty of good chilled water in the lobby. Joni Knight
No complaints - pool a bit chilly and would be nice to be open a bit later.
So convenient,,,the shuttle bus was there when we needed it, The subway into DC was over before you could get your balance. What looked like a lumpy bed turned out to be Cloud Nine. The suite was large and comfy. Kitchen well supplied. We concluded our wedding day with dinner at nearby Amuse at Le Meridien, overlooking the river and Georgetown. An elegant, incredible dining experience with a remarkably modest tab. Thanks Virginian Suites for a memorable trip!
The pool area is a pathetic wasteland. If nothing else...break for some potted palms and a few plants. You've done everything else so well so why not do this well too.
the location is great to be in a few minutes on the subway to the main places to visit.. free parking, and with very good starts to go driving to points of interest. Kitchen well equipped to have some fast food.
could have better food, the employee kindly us gift breakfast, but leaves much to be desired.
