staff were excellent! we were celebrating 2 milestone birthdays and the staff arranged a lovely, delicious birthday cake always asking to make sure we were happy and had what we needed

The suite with kitchen and closed off bedroom.

Bathroom was small... Hot water took 10 minutes to get hot. Convenience of bathrooms and breakfast room.. etc on 3rd flr. No accommodations on 1st flr. Shuttle not available on weekends.

decor was dated, paint splashes on the tile floors and in the bathtub

Room has kitchen with refrigerator, ovens, coffee maker, and dinner ware. I was charged for continental breakfast which is actually free for every customer.

The facility is not handicap accessible. Saw several disable customers struggling to walk up stairs. I was charged for continental breakfast actually free for every customer.

Very friendly and helpful staff, useful shuttle bus to the metro and excellent on-site facilities.

There was no shuttle to the metro in late evenings or weekend which was a pity.

How friendly the staff was and clean the hotel was

The Hotel is situated in a quiet and peaceful setting , almost next to the Iwo Jima Memorial and close to the Arlington Cemetery: walking distance for those who enjoy a brisk early morning walk. I could also walk safely to and from the Metro, Rosslyn . Room is spacious and sparkling clean.

Great location. Great staff. Very attentive and friendly. Like the suite. Nice having full kitchen, separate bedroom.

Needs some updating in rooms.

Lush surroundings. near park running path etc.. Room was beautiful. Price was great compared. Shuttle to the metro was good too. Even though it was s quick walk. The hill hotel is on made it seem longer, But pedestrian bridge over the highway is easy access too.

No heating 1st night, to be told "it was hot last week so we turned off all the heating" was little use when the temperatures droped again.

Very friendly staff! The bed and pillows were one of the most comfortable ones I've slept in for a hotel. The location was great and the shuttle to the Metro was awesome although it isn't a far walk either. Loved the fact that it took you to Safeway also to put food in the fridge :) too! I will be back to the dc area next spring for a week and definitely plan on staying at the Virginian!! Thanks!!

Bed was very comfy. Everything was clean.

No spatula in kitchen. Bathroom sounds of all kinds were highly intrusive (my wife could hear peeing and farting from above).

- Very large room - Best deal for this budget - Very close to the Arlington cemetery It was a very good experience to visiting Washington, DC!

- A little to much noise (plan path) - 10 ms walk from the Roslyn station metro, however the hotel provides a free shuttle to the metro

Nice sized rooms, comfy bed/pillows, kitchen with utensils came in handy. Convenient location to get to the metro (walking) and right around the corner from the Iwo Jima Memorial and Arlington Cemetery. Great place to stay for a value price yet close enough to DC to explore. Surrounding Arlington downtown has great selection of restaurants as well. Would definately stay here again! PS: The free shuttle to and from the metro station during the week is a added plus after a long day of walking around DC!

The staff was very friendly! Loved the location; outside the city of dc but easy to take transportation to. Great location to the Iwo Jima memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. Spacious studio queen room, great layout.

Elevator wait was long at times since there were 2 of them. Breakfast probably not worth the $12 per person, but it was comped for us.

I liked the location of the hotel, is near the Rosslyn metro station and the hotel has a shuttle on the week to the metro station!

I didn't like the hotel was the had no ramp or elevator in the entrance , with a baby stroller I had to pick it up all the time up the stairs, also with the money I pay for it, the breakfast was horrible, it should of been a hot buffet, not a continental buffet for a huge and fancy hotel!!!!

Comfortable, clean, good location, quiet room, good wifi signal in room, nice kitchen, friendly and efficient staff, good price. It was no problem to shorten my stay from 5 nights to 4 shortly after arrival.

Walk to Roslyn Metro station is across some busy traffic thoroughfares. But once you get there, Roslyn is close to central DC.

location: 10 minutes walk from Rosslyn subway station, but otherwise during a few hours a day, the hotel provides a shuttle service to the subway station / room: huge (it is exactly like on the pictures), clean, comfortable / breakfast: sweet breakfast (cereals, pancakes, bread,yoghurts, fruits, cereal bars,...)
