Customer service on the front desk at the arrival.and at restaurant.the cooking is poor.
Everything was 1st class
Food & beverage was pricy
Not much really
It's basically a convention centre for people who rarely get out of their State, let alone go to NY. Avoid
Was an incredible experience, looking forward to the next trip!
That the trip had to end
Staff was professional and accommodating! The rooms were large and comfortable. A great location, away from the vastness of the crowds, but close to everything. A wonderful hotel!!
It's a beautiful grand hotel within walking distance to many NYC attractions.
It was holiday season and the check-in line long between 2-3:30 (3:00 pm check-in time). But waiting 25 minutes seems a bit excessive.

Loved location. Beautiful clean Hotel.
Wished coffee machine was in room to enjoy a cup of coffee in the room.
location reputation cleanliness comfortable bed
staff friendliness flexibility for early check in high price for average room no internet in room dated bathroom and A/C
Reception area, bar lounge, location, hotel history.
Telephones are plain dirty, light in bathroom very dim.
Unique hotel in a very desirable area, with lovely architecture and history.
Ridiculously expensive. Costly wifi which is included at most hotels. Overpriced breakfast. I cam back to my room mid-afternoon to find a man in my room changing the filters and no one had the courtesy to let me know.
Better services, wifi and coffee machine in room.
The location was excellent and the hotel is beautiful. It is a once in a lifetime experience!
From the very beginning, the staff at the Waldorf was sub par to how the hotel should function. We were told by 4 different people in the same area where to vallet our car and each person told us a different location. No one offered assistance we had to go to them and they were not engaged with other guests. When we checked in at 3:45, we were told our room was not ready and we would get a call or text when it was ready. At 4:30 we returned to the hotel and had not recieved notice that our room was ready. Our room was in fact ready, but no one informed us as promised. Our room was way too hot and when we asked how to fix it, we were just told to turn off the unit and it would get cooler. This did not help. When we consulted a concierge on a good restaurant, he scoffed at us when we asked for somewhere very nice. The restaurant near the lobby also did not take our drink orders and did not replenish our water the whole time we were there. We expected far more from a hotel of this caliber in terms of how the employees treated the guests.
The Sunday brunch The bar and table service
The tired rooms The waits at reception
The service in the restaurants was abysmal. It took over 15 minutes to have a cup of coffee delivered to my table. My husband was already finished with his beverage by the time mine arrived. I thought perhaps they were brewing a new pot, however multiple cups were being set down in front of other customers. This is just one of many examples I can provide.
Reception area still has charm. Friendliness of all staff bar one! Location.
Pre booked room requirements were not available upon arrival at 3 pm. Our room was without adequate hot water, no tv or radio for nearly 3 of our 4 night stay at $400 per night. Bathroom dated and cramped!
Perfect Location and since we managed to have a 50 % discount through booking.com. We never hesitated to book. Close to Subway no 6. Wonderful athmisphere, friendly and competent staff.
great location, nice exercise room
no free internet in the room!
The location and wifi
No breakfast included
My mom and me stayed at this hotel twice on our trip to and from Japan. The hotel was just excellent as were the staff. Specially the housekeeper were so nice witi us, helpful and friendly! We would definitely stay there again.
The room was good enough, but no WiFi in the rooms only in the common areas.
The concierge and bells assistants were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The receptionists too were lovely. I must stay the serve is great and this alone will bring me back to the Waldorf in future
The sizes of the rooms I stayed in were too small for the money I paid. Also the location of the Waldorf in relation to the places I wanted to be at in New York is quite a distance and will have to think twice when booking this hotel again when in New York for pleasure.
The rooms were nice & spacious, location excellent, public areas of hotel beautiful
Service in the bar areas very poor, advised we could get coffee before 7am, long queues when checking in and out. No tea/coffee facilities in room
Location was great for the Thanksgiving Day Parade and close to Time Square and MOMA.
The paint inside of the bathtub was peeling badly in several large spots. The paint on the bathroom door was old and chipping badly. Maid did not clean the bathtub out on a daily basis. The pictures online show updated and well maintained rooms. My experience was not the same. I won't stay there again.
I read the reviews and was a bit unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised such a beautiful hotel. Extremely comfortable bed, best sleep I have ever had. Great location would definitely return much quieter location than Times Square
The room was a little too hot and air con didn't work. Room service wasn't great, food cold and very expensive
The staff were very courteous and efficient...we were treated like royalty...a wonderful atmosphere... Could not ask for more.
Everything was awesome...
