    The Reception, the staff, the Bull & Bear bar, the opulence of the reception area and other public areas. Food in the Bull & Bear was fantastic.

    Our room was very comfortable but a little bit like staying at "Grandma's".

    The rooms are a good size (we had a king though). Great location

    Wifi is only free in the lobby, so there are a lot of people mulling around, taking a bit away from the beautiful sourroundings. some of our taps were loose and there was a big chunk out of the toilet bowl - could be repaired.

    The comfort of the beds and linens - had the best sleeps I have ever had while being away - my friend agrees with this too. The location

    Staff were not as attentive as I expected. In room brochure stated 24 hour room service but when we arrived at 3am due to plane delays we were unable to get anything.

    They gave me an upgrade of room and I slept in a room that doubled the size of the one I booked. Everything was excelent.

    The wifi must be free in the hotel.

    Entrance and communal areas, helpful staff. Good clean bed.

    The bedrooms were badly maintained, curtains shabby, paintwork disgusting, windows lined with dirt, cracked marble and tiles, flaking bath enamel, fungus round the tiles in the bathroom. Extension lead for sockets. Wardrobes dated and mirror door didn't close. Breakfast in Oscars ok but poor value for money.

    The hotel lived up to its name, the entrance and hallways are stunning The staff were both friendly, yet respectful, and very attentive

    The air conditioning in the room was way too cold, and we were unable to adjust the temperature. The wifi is not free in the rooms, in 2014 There were not enough spare blankets The docking station docked iphone 4, the new iPhones could not be docked

    Fast efficient check in, easy check out, room cleaned every morning, I never came back to find room not done

    Location, roommspace, bed

    Had to call a few times to get water to my room and when i got to the room there was a bad odor and had to call twice to get someone up there to clean it. Never came to clean it.

    The lobby was very pretty and the staff were very nice

    Rooms really need to be updated. Rust bath fixtures. Cracks in the ceiling. For the price, no coffee maker in the room seems odd There was a bucket in the hall way that way catching water from a leaking ceiling that was only a feet away from our door. Air condition was terrible, never really got the room cool. Was very excited to stay here but was disappointed in the end

    Great Hotel with kept traditions from the past.

    Our room was not ready when we arrived, we had to wait 2 hours, but the hotel looked after us with drink and food and upgraded us to a suite because of the inconvenience.

    Location is conveniently located next to metros and for morning strolls in Central Park pre breakfast.

    WIFI complimentary in lounge area only. Room wasn't ready for check in until 5pm, we arrived at 3pm.

    I cannot find the words to describe how much I loved staying at this hotel. If you are looking for a place to stay for your first and memorable stay at NYC, look no further, this is the place for you. Hotel simply enchants you with it's history and long tradition. Not to mention that the location is absolutely the best!

    Excellent Staff, beautiful decor and perfect location.

    The fact that despite repeated requests to the front desk, when we were leaving, we did not get anyone to help us take our suitcases to the front door and had to take the suitcases down 26 floors to the hotel door ourselves! Disgraceful.

    The hotel is great overall.

    Some of the staff are a bit snobbish The age of the hotel really shows in the rooms and especially the fixtures in the bathrooms
