The pool was very entertaining for my kids. We also enjoyed the location of the resort because it was close to restraunts and shopping. The staff was very helpful when we wanted to find a clean and appitizimg restraunt.Plus the luau was funny and exciting whenever the torch thrower came on to stage.
The man concierge George was great in helping us with useful information. It is close to the airport and has lots of nice places close to eat.
Central location, lovely beach Lovely suite on 9th floor moved to after first night in dreadful 2nd floor suite.
Terrible suite we were given on 2nd floor, potato chips on the floor beside the bed (room not cleaned properly), no bedside table or light on left side of bed, no wardrobe or hanging storage in bedroom, poor beach view due to trees and vines growing.
The Resort is beautiful
Unfortunately we didn't get what we booked and payed too much at the end. The staff didn't help and I think for a Hotel like this they sould be able to solve problems
NO formal greetibg on arrival. yest we saw others being greeted with towels and drinks!
The Spa. The fact that Whaler's village was right next door to peruse the shops. Right next door to a great restaurant called Lelanis. The offer of Starbucks coffee on the premises! The beautiful waterfall and pond with the lovely flamingos in it and fish plus the Parrots and Cockatoo!
The Sugarhouse Restaurant.
Housekeeping needed to pay more attention to detail
The sandy beach, pools, water features, our room. All in all it was a superb experience on my partner's birthday.
beach in front of hotel. not useable. very steep incline to ocean and not safe. the prices of the rooms and food were exorbitant for what you get.
Great veiw to the islands nearby. Decent gym. Very friendly staff.
No way this room costs 400$ + almost 100$ In taxes. Breakfast buffet is very basic with no diversity at all (every day the same beacon, potatoes, veggies and omlet +sweets) but costs 30$/person/day. Ocean view during breakfast is very limited (basically 4 tables with a real view). The bar is limited - they don't have ingresients for stuff like chaperihnia etc. starbucks in the hotel closes at 3pm (wtf?), quality of food in hotel's restoraunts is very mediocre - better drive to Lahaina for dinner. long story short - i would never pay this money here again. This hotel is 200$/d worh tops. And for 500$ you have a right to expext WAY more. Use this right.
Lovely facilities and rooms
Quite expensive, check in staff and front desk were very slow at service
Location is great. Kaanapali is the place to be on Maui.
The Concierges are in on the relentless time-share scam. They try to trick you into going to a presentation. One even lied to me. The AMEX activity desk charges you twice as much for each activity as you could get yourself. The pool towel hut tries to sell you $250 sub glasses when all you want is a towel.
