Hospitality as it should be. Well trained staff. Clean room. Comfortable beds.
The lobby, the bar, hotel room and bedding
No parking in hotel.
staff was great, room was beatiful
This was a saving grace after I had been tortured and robbed by another hotel (Soma Suites) that I had booked through booking.com, I was willing to pay the extra $150 (which I should've been compensated for by booking.com) to be in a safe and clean environment where I didn't feel like I would get murdered or abducted and raped. The Westin made me actually feel like the hell I had gone through was worth it in the end and that I was FINALLY on a REAL VACATION. The Staff was SO polite and helpful. The Hotel itself is like a slice of paradise in the middle of the hustle and bustle found in the streets of San Francisco. I HIGHLY recommend using The Westin in all cities even if your budget doesn't allow it, FIND A WAY. You'll be a very very happy guest.
Staff very friendly, great location
Older hotel, old rooms. Only book here if its cheap, dont pay full price!
Staff was prompt, courteous, knowledgable.
Parking very pricey, but it's SF...
Great view from 30th floor. High quality for affordable price. Upgrade to nice Starwood Preferred Guest Room @ 30th floor, so I've discovered this program. (I was supposed to have a room between 5th and 7th floor)
the bed is comfortable
we booked a room for 3 guests, but u only supply the stuff which is only enough for one person
Great location, clean and comfortable rooms.
Comfortable, quiet rooms. Great prices. Great bar and restaurant. Good central location.
We made our whole parties booking through booking.com. We checked in a day early and when we went to check on the other rooms they did not have them. No record whatsoever. It took us mailing the booking.com confirmation to convince them we had two more rooms booked. Clearly a system failure that was a sorted eventually but created high drama while we tried to find rooms for our additional family members and children. Could have done without that.
The room was comfortable and had a great view. The room was very quiet and well appointed.
Just very pretty. Felt away forca day
Traffic. But were caught in the president Obama debacle!
No free Wifi ($15 a day) No free Parking ($50 a day) Unprofessional staff. Paid $300 for a night and still didn't get a free wifi or a parking, service standard was very poor, mischarged mini bar items - despite none used, room service tray has been on the floor in front of my room on arrival and still there when I checked out. Not a standard that you would expect in they price range! Very disappointed, would not recommend this!
Terrible service except for bell service
Walking through second hand smoke from taxi and limo drivers each time we exited the front of the hotel. WIFI should be free at these rates.
Location, special offer, upgraded room special offer, helpful and pleasant staff
Noise from ice machine at night plus other noises transmitting from other rooms affected quality of sleep
room are old fasioned (bathroom and shower together really in XXI ??)
It is a hotel
Everything else. they have a program where they will give you a 5$ credit and places near their hotel if you don't have maid clean your room. Well i did this and was waiting to get my ride home in the lobby and though that I might get a drink at the restaurant in the lobby. They would only take it if you got a food item. Total BS. $5 is $5 with no other restrictions. This hotel is bad.
A typical business hotel. San Francisco is not too big, so the location is good, but for we travelers, everywhere is same.
Too expensive! No free Wifi, and parking is more than $60 per night!!! If you consume anything in the room, you'll be a absolutely poor man.
Staff efficient but not overly friendly. Parking hideously expensive. No in room wifi included in the high room rate ($500). Rather antiquated in a city hotel with many business travellers. Bathroom like a tiny bomb shelter with a low ceiling. You practically have to step on the toilet after exiting the over bath shower. It was renovated but still looks cheap and tacky. The bath is only big enough for a small child. The towels were old, thin, rough and had loose threads. Very poor indeed for hotel of this supposed standard. View from the rooms on higher floors is not worth paying for. We were on level 34. Window although floor to ceiling is rather small. You need to stand right against the window to really see anything. We were facing another hotel so it was a disappointment. In general the room feels claustrophobic. The ceilings are low. A tall person may have trouble in the shower for this reason. Food is not great in the lobby restaurant. Mediocre at best. Generally a disappointing hotel. In the last few months travelling it's the worst hotel experience so far.
120$ basic breakfast for 4! We were charged for minibar items we simply moved from one counter to another. Items still pending on my credit card.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfy bed -beautiful views .Close to Union Square and only 3 blocks from trains.
Staff were njceand the location is the best
