The staff was courteous, the room was comfortable.
Internet access should be free to all guests. In addition, the need to login for access on a daily basis was annoying.
Great floor to ceiling windows with a city view and central location right off Market Street (avoid Union Square, it's a little bit dodgy). Great value for money overall.
For this price, breakfast should be included.
Excellent location, very comfortable bed and very capable staff.
Charged in excess of $15 a day for internet which was free in every other hotel during our trip. Allowing dogs as a 'pet friendly' hotel meant we were woken both mornings at 0500 by barking and the owner trying to hush their pet. Both factors unacceptable in a top hotel.
Excellent location - easy walk to Union Square, the Embarcadero, Financial district and Montgomery BART station. Best location in the city from our point of view. Be sure to check out Yerba Buena gardens and the open space behind the hotel. We have been to this Westin at least 3 times and only noticed the gardens this time. Not all the interesting stuff is out the front door.
Make sure to not get the small rooms. Only 220 sq ft. The larger rooms are way better.
Proximity to Bart, Union Square, shopping. The bed was great. We asked for a room with a view and we did have a great view.
The room was the size of a camper. Not even a comfortable chair to sit in. There was a desk chair but where does the second person sit? The hotel blocked our "hot spot" on our phones so we were forced to pay for internet connections.
cleanliness, bed was super comfy
the value for the money did not match up, the walls were paper thin and we could hear everything that went on in the hall, the air conditioner did not work properly, the price of the snacks in the fridge were ridiculous, $4 for a canned coke, really??
Easy to get to by public transport. Clean comfortable room. Friendly staff. I was there to run a race and they had water and other amenities out for all the runners.
Bar area could have been more lively.
Very comfortable bed
Small and odd shaped room Very busy check-in, check-out with too few staff to process guests
Surprise $55.00 parking fee
A charge for wifi when its free on the street
Staff was great , room was clean, hotel was in a great location, lobby area was great
Didn't have any internet service on any of our phones no matter who the carrier was, which almost forces you to pay the wifi fee of $15 daily, even wifi in the lobby isn't free Parking across the street is cheaper
Customer Service was excellent.
Hospitality as it should be. Well trained staff. Clean room. Comfortable beds.
The lobby, the bar, hotel room and bedding
No parking in hotel.
staff was great, room was beatiful
This was a saving grace after I had been tortured and robbed by another hotel (Soma Suites) that I had booked through booking.com, I was willing to pay the extra $150 (which I should've been compensated for by booking.com) to be in a safe and clean environment where I didn't feel like I would get murdered or abducted and raped. The Westin made me actually feel like the hell I had gone through was worth it in the end and that I was FINALLY on a REAL VACATION. The Staff was SO polite and helpful. The Hotel itself is like a slice of paradise in the middle of the hustle and bustle found in the streets of San Francisco. I HIGHLY recommend using The Westin in all cities even if your budget doesn't allow it, FIND A WAY. You'll be a very very happy guest.
Staff very friendly, great location
Older hotel, old rooms. Only book here if its cheap, dont pay full price!
Staff was prompt, courteous, knowledgable.
Parking very pricey, but it's SF...
Great view from 30th floor. High quality for affordable price. Upgrade to nice Starwood Preferred Guest Room @ 30th floor, so I've discovered this program. (I was supposed to have a room between 5th and 7th floor)
the bed is comfortable
we booked a room for 3 guests, but u only supply the stuff which is only enough for one person
Great location, clean and comfortable rooms.
Comfortable, quiet rooms. Great prices. Great bar and restaurant. Good central location.
We made our whole parties booking through booking.com. We checked in a day early and when we went to check on the other rooms they did not have them. No record whatsoever. It took us mailing the booking.com confirmation to convince them we had two more rooms booked. Clearly a system failure that was a sorted eventually but created high drama while we tried to find rooms for our additional family members and children. Could have done without that.
