Friendly , welcoming relaxing
The staff at the pool bar were to busy talking to each other then pay attention to the people there, and it was quiet around 5pm, plus the coffee was cold.
Really like the front desk staff and the valet. Love the access to LA Fitness. The rooftop bar/restaurant has a nice mountain view and the waitress there is really attentive.
There's a bit of a moldy smell when just entering the room, but I got used to it. Also the room is a bit small and you can still hear some noise from the neighboring rooms sometimes.
Location too edgy;
I loved that it was a 1 bedroom so the baby can sleep in the crib in the other room while we watch tv. Big plus! They brought a gold fish to our room and my 2 year old was so crazy happy!!! The room was modern, clean, and quiet.
I guess if I had to write a negative it would be that they didn't have vegetarian options besides gnocchi or salad.
Staff misty very helpful
Stayed on second floor room 206. Woke at 4am to hammers and construction below me. Then had to phone downstairs to get it stopped. After that, the constant sound of rushing water behind the wall almost every minute for several hours. Asked for a refund. They offered free parking.
Contemporary feel was well done, with friendly staff who were very helpful. Roof top terrace with pool and views of Hollywood was very nice. Good wifi. Very cool dressing gowns!
Slightly tired in places, nothing to worry about though.
$33 parking fee - what a joke...This is not a 4-star hotel in my opinion
Kind & helpful staff
I love how the location is literally 2 minutes from the grove which has the farmers market & shopping. They don't have a gym, but they give you gym pass to la fitness which is 3 blocks down the street
Location, short walk to the La Brea tar pits and the Grove. Places to get food near by if you feel like something other than what is on the hotel menu. During the day there was amazing Lemonade available in the lobby. Large in room TV.
Minor issue but there wasn't a shower curtain in an otherwise amazing bathroom.
The hotel overall was great clean rooms and awesome rooftop lounge
The location of the hotel is sort of out of place since there was construction
Rooftop pool and dining with a great view You get a yoga mat to use in your room
Food was inconsistently good
Beautiful room Very close to LACMA great location, easy walking Lovely views from roof pool deck staff nice and parking/vallet very safe.
Pool wasn't usable with people eating right there althogh lovely setting
Staff was great, very attentive, pool was very clean, room was really hip and luxurious, also very clean. Foo dis good at rooftop bar.
Room was big and trendy
The attitude of the staff as i requested a clarification about the price at the check out. awful
My second room... The personnel, the parking valets, the in-room dining
My first room was for the disabled. There was no door on the shower, really there was no practical shower. Also, I requested a wake-up call that did not come and in both my rooms the clocks were more than 30 minutes incorrect.
I stay in Los Angeles often and by far the best hotel I have stayed in and there was absolutely nothing that I disliked about my stay at The Wilshire Hotel. I will be staying there each time I visit Los Angeles!!!! Melinda from Dothan
The location is great and the roof resturant is good!
This was my second time at this hotel and the experience was much much better than the first time. Ashley, the manager, was very accommodating with my request of a quiet room. Staff on the roof terrace was nice and professional. Lunch by the pool was great. Bathroom was nice and clean.
The carpets and the sofas in the rooms are quite dirty and should be replaced to match the rest of the room and the bathrooms, which are new, clean and very nice. It was a last minute reservation and the price was extremely high.
Personal touches, amazing food and ambiance
The room was nice and big. The view from the roof top bar.
The pool is available to people not staying in the hotel so it was always full. The food at the restaurant and the breakfast were lacking in quality. As some people had already mentioned, in our final bill we got lots of extra taxes that weren't included in the booking reservation, expect 30% more in your final bill (tourist assessment charge, city tax, parking tax, etc.. ). Because of this we were a bit disappointed in our stay.
Cozy, light rooms, good breakfast, excellent personnel in the parking zone
No views from the rooms
Staff were very kind and helpful. The room was quiet (though as a Booking.com reservation it was in the back over the alley & parking lot).
The location is adequate, sort of trapped on the fringe between the Miracle Mile and Beverly Hills. Had I stayed there longer and been on foot, I would have had safety concerns about walking in the area since there's nothing immediately around the hotel but partially occupied business mid-rises that are dark after working hours.
