I enjoyed the room, but felt like we were "falsely upgraded" into it by the front desk claiming there were no non-smoking rooms available. |

The staff is very professional, courteous, and helpful. Room furniture is antique mahogany. We had a very spacious, beautiful room with a four poster bed. Maid left lights on and light music playing for us each night so we wouldn't enter a dark, quiet room. |

location; cleanliness; small cozy; beautiful lounge room extremely hot during the night and no way to control the temperature; decorating needs updating e.g. paint, wallpaper. |

The room was beautiful with a European flare. Awesome. Have already recommended it to others. Our check in was exceptional. |

The room was a decent size and the bathroom quite large. Staff were very helpful and came up promptly in the middle of the night when we couldn't figure out the air conditioner Elevator was incredibly slow, we ended up using the stairs instead, luckily we were on the third floor. The 'business centre' is mid way through renovations and our room was right next door and there was plastic sheeting over the floor leading up to the room which wasn't the greatest look! |

Our stay was wonderful. The location is terrific...a minute from Michigan Ave. on one hand and a minute from Rush Street on the other. Parking is expensive |

The bathroom and bed were clean and comfortable. The room was small but to be expected in an old hotel. The room was very nice though Supplemental charges for internet and parking. |

The hotel was conveniently located. My room also had the most comfortable bed. I did not like the fact that they did not offer continental breakfast to guests. At that price point, continental breakfast should be included. |

It was fun to stay in an independently run hotel, and the location is great. The rooms was well-decorated, and the bed very comfortable. The room was a bit cramped, some pieces of furniture not in the best condition (hinges of TV cabinet, sink in bathroom not entirely put together). I thought the price was a bit high (even with an online deal) for the size of room and amenities at the hotel (ie no hotel pool etc). |

Really big bed. Good plumbing and small but well-constructed bathroom. Friendly staff. Our "Do not disturb" hanger disappeared. We asked for another, but it never materialized. As everywhere in downtown Chicago, don't bring your car if you don't want to spend money to park it ($45/day at the hotel). |

The location in the north side of downtown Chicago was great. The bar food was above average and the staff was very attentive. The workout room is very small. |

We were upgraded for no apparent reason and the staff was very nice. I loved that it was small and easy to manuver. would rather have had coffee maker in room than have to go downstairs for free coffee. |
