The cleanliness of the room
I liked the location
I can hear everything in my room from the hallway. The elevator is so tiny.
Not very clean rooms
The room is huge and the location is perfect. You can have a good view of Hancock tower.
When I checked in they said they haven't got any reservation record. I took a long time to call booking to solve the problem. But the worst thing pissed me off is when I checked out the reception staff said they only got one reservations from booking so they have to charge me late check out fee. But actually I booked 2 nights! I'm not sure whom should I blame, but it is the worst check-in & check-out experience I met after staring using booking!!!
Two things: a reservation was made and then cancelled for us after we were not able to change it ourselves. Second l, we mentioned some details cleaning staff missed and they were handled quickly. Room was perfect after that.
Lamp on desk and phone were dirty. Staff handled this right away.
Great accommodations and excellent location. Loved the 'smallness' and 'boutique' feel. Best rate I could find with all I wanted!
Liked it all!
Being upgraded when our room wasn't ready at 2pm to the Delaware Suite - all 900 sq feet of it Hahahaha! Huge and glamourous. A bed handmade of Cashmere and down...
Hotel showing its age (70 years+) as the bathrooms are small and old, but functional.
Pipes made noise at night, paper thin walls between suites
Requested 2 queens Got a king Promised a king and queen sofa sleeper, got a king and a twin sleeper Received a rollaway bed that was all springs still need to deal with being overcharged
location and the doorman ALEX!
room was not totally clean and there was a problem with the air... one minute air conditioning then heat...
Great atmosphere and great staff too (Thanks Pam!).
Unable to print boarding pass at business center.
Location and comfort were exceptional. Check in was great and fast.
The only objection is the room seemed rather dark. Could use additional lighting
location. breakfast. old world charm.valet parking.
in some areas, the old world charm is becoming a little threadbare, signs of neglect.
I think we got an upgrade room 2010, would be nice if they told us, gives a better feeling
There was much noise in the barhroom
location is great, 3 blocks to Metro, 1 block to shopping mile and hancock.
we have been placed to 6th floor first, it was mentioned that we are somewhere in the middle, but with 21 floors in total this is nonsense. so we have been moved to 12th floor, where we could only see a wall -- means make sure which level and which side of the building you are.
The location and complimentary WiFi made this an ideal hotel for a short sightseeing break in Chicago. Most of the attractions are within walking distance and the staff were very helpful.
We were awoken during the night by noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms. Air-con control in our room was rather erratic.
Fantastic, helpful staff. Look out for Bazarre on reception what a great personality. Will be staying again next year.
It was very noisy in my room on the 3rd floor. The room smelled like a horse barn when I arrived.
This is a quality hotel that has a personal touch, it is just small enough so you can receive good quality service. The hotel location is very close to transport and watering holes.
The only thing that bothered me was the lifts, there is only two and they are small. In peak periods you can wait a bit longer than necessary.
Great position, great value for money, kind staff
It was impossible to shut down the curtains, so the light in the morning made it difficult for me to sleep after 8 am
location staff lounge
telephone did not work shower rod came apart , shower tap failed, safe would not lock
Location was excellent.
Room tired with tiny bathroom Sink had large crack in it For this type of property we were disappointed.
Bath tub was corroded on edges and elevators looked a hundred years old. Poor value
Very helpful desk staff, bellmen, doormen, waiters. Great location.
Very hard beds, and I like hard beds. Ready for a renovation - phones didn't work on all buttons, safe was broken, minibar was locked, lighting was inadequate.
