The bedding is excellent. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The bath is well stocked and nicely done.
The hallway carpet on the 10th floor was a bit stained.
Awesome, friendly staff, great location, decor, large room, unbelievably comfortable bed, in room fridge,
Having to leave! This was luxury
Suite not good value for money
Location is unbeatable - 1 block away from the millenium mile. Big, comfy room and bed, nice staff
can't think of anything
Everything, staff at front desk exceptional
Not a thing
Very comfortable. Front desk and lobby folks were very pleasant and helpful. The concierge -Rhonda- was very helpful and nice to deal with. She went out of her way to make recommendations so we could plan our days & get the most of our stay in Chicago. You are lucky to have her on your staff.
Location Heritage feel
Slow internet Room too cold
location, location, location
no coffeepot in room
The staff were wonderful!!! The bed was so comfortable and we slept well. The free Wi Fi was sufficient for what we needed it for. The location was great!!
Would like free wifi, and free continental breakfast.
The room is big and the location is excellent
The hotel is a little old but nice
Location was great and most of the staff were pretty good. Beds were fresh and clean.
The bar fridge, we always have our own beverages and sometimes food and need for the use of some fridge space which was completely ridiculous. Not only did they try charging us for everything I had to move to fit in a couple of things but the fridge was continually locking. We had to call every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times to have it unlocked and this took over an hour on one occasion even after I had gone down to the desk after calling. The washroom was small with the toilet paper dispenser resting against us when on the toilet, that was odd. Tub had mildew around the caulking. There was no ice accessible only if we went to the bar to ask for some, it didn't always come when we called for it and I don't really want to pay for someone to bring me ice when I can get it myself. Not a very welcoming lobby with the staff tucked in behind booths and there only being two.
Staff was informative and helpful. The woman at the check in counter was especially helpful and friendly both on our arrival and our checkout. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nicely updated. Did not have time to explore the rest of the hotel but would definitely return.
Location! Comfortable Bed and Bedding. Breakfast. For that I would recommend it to others but only with s list of things to be wary of
Room temperature never settled: either too warm or too cold. Maintenance tried twice to reset it: failed. Requests for ice delivered to room constantly unfullfilled. with one exception. All other times I had to go downstairs, get ice from the bar & take it back to my room. I could only work at the desk by sitting on the bed facing a blank wall. The overnight parking was very expensive though I guess the norm for Chicago. One day laundry took two days (I was told it was waiting downstairs to be delivered to my room but it was really still at the laundry. No decaf coffee in the room. Could not seem to convince any staff that I really would like a second glass. Etc. Etc.
Very close to Water Tower and American girl. Door men were super nice. Quiet room on 3rd floor was nice.
View from our room was air conditioners. No ice machine on floor, you have to call front desk for ice. Not enough towels for family of three.
Loved that it was next to Michigan Ave & close to shops & public transportation. The bedroom was on the small side, but roomy enough for the 2 of us.
The hotel is older, so you have to remember the amenities weren't going to be up-to-date. Although the bedroom was nice, the bathroom was old. It sufficed, but the toilet was positioned too close to the wall. There was a malfunctioning elevator when we checked in, but seemed to worked later in the trip. There are no ice machines, so we had to call down & request some.
Location is perfect, just around the corner of shops at North Michigan ave. , Only a block from Hancock Tower. Room was very nice and comfortable. Bed and pillows perfect. Free complimentary wifi at the room
No swimming pool
Location, staff, comfort
Noisy fan outside room
Helpful staff- bazaar was awesome at the front desk! Very comfortable room Right off michigan ave Good views ( we were on the 16th floor)
Very small negative but you have to request ice from the front desk. No charge just had to wait a few minutes.
The staff was very accommodating at the location was excellent. The price was exceptionally low for the location.
The elevators were small and sometimes caused bottlenecks in the lobby.
The location was great. Within walking distance of many attractions, shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
No refrigerator in the room. Small bathroom sink area, not enough counter space.
The location of the hotel was perfect for us.. We spend the majority of our time at the beach and the American Girl Store
We heard everyone in the hallway.. A couple of doors down from our room, people were extremely loud. The parking was too expensive. I had to park in another garage
Personel is friendly and the comfort is great. The hotel is a few blocks outside of 'the loop' and not the best place to reach by metro, but bus and taxi convenient.
The room was quite dark and there was no 'central' light switch. Standard free WiFi was poor.
Location Staff Decor
A bit old
The location was excellent. The staff was nice. Would consider returning if rate was very low.
Only two small, slow elevators. We spent a fair amount of time waiting for the elevator. One morning there was no hot water so had to take a cold miserable shower. Requested that our sheets be changed every day and they did not do it.
