Great location in the heart of the magnificent mile. Room was comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful.
Had to call maintenance to fix the heater. Hotel is a bit dated and could stand to use a little modernization (eg, as a business traveler, I had no outlet to plug in my laptop at the desk)
We especially like the value for the comfort and location
We had no heat for 12 hours. We were moved to another room no adjustment was made
The beds were awesome as well as the amenities in the bathroom. Also the use of the Cotton robe was very much appreciated as the weather was freezing outside and it was comfortable to have. These are usually provided only at 4-5 star hotels at which we have stayed before in other countries and it was a very nice touch.
The heating could have been much better as it was 16-17 degrees outside and inspite of turning up the thermostat to about 75 degrees the room felt cold and the windows were drafty and cold air from the outside seemed to be leaking in.The staff was quite friendly and eager to help and assist.
Room and located
the Staff are amazingly helpful. I met with the concierge and he was spot on about what I could do with the spare time I had. He is bright, personable and eager to please.
The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. Best of all.... The location was perfect!
The beds were too hard
desk staff could have been more welcoming; bellmen excellent
Location, location, location and very friendly and helpful staff
Parking expensive, staff showed us cheaper location close by but still 45 $ per day.
Everything was amazing and we got it for a great deal!
Location was brilliant right near the miracle mile and heaps of public transport around. Can easily get to and from the airport and to all the site seeing destinations around navy pier, soldier field etc. walking distance to John hancock building would advise to get a travel card from CTA and save on catching taxis everywhere, very easy to catch the bus and train.
I came to Northwestern University for sleep studies. I asked if the hotel would allow me to check in earlier than normal because of my sleep disorder and they accommodated me! The bed was very comfortable and I was able to go to sleep with ease. Thank you to the staff. They gave me excellent recommendations for places to eat. I will rebook with this hotel when I return to Chicago for my follow up care.
I loved the bed. The best by far. Also the pillows. Very clean room and bathroom.
Great location. Walking distance from Gibson's and Lou Malnati's
This is an older hotel and you can tell by the decor and and small elevators. The carpeting was a bit dingy but the room itself was clean and adequate.
The a/c and heating unit was noisy so did not use. Pipework rattled. Hot water took a while. Better hotels in Chicago with better location
the air conditioner is a bit noisy and so cold
The bed was great
Bathroom tight. Appearance dark and a bit classic antiquated.
Location. Excellent bed. Good bathroom.
Not to much friendly staff, except Daniel. A little bit overpriced.
the rooms were dated and the bathrooms were very tiny
Close to everything
The cleanliness of the room
I liked the location
I can hear everything in my room from the hallway. The elevator is so tiny.
Not very clean rooms
The room is huge and the location is perfect. You can have a good view of Hancock tower.
When I checked in they said they haven't got any reservation record. I took a long time to call booking to solve the problem. But the worst thing pissed me off is when I checked out the reception staff said they only got one reservations from booking so they have to charge me late check out fee. But actually I booked 2 nights! I'm not sure whom should I blame, but it is the worst check-in & check-out experience I met after staring using booking!!!
Two things: a reservation was made and then cancelled for us after we were not able to change it ourselves. Second l, we mentioned some details cleaning staff missed and they were handled quickly. Room was perfect after that.
Lamp on desk and phone were dirty. Staff handled this right away.
