I will NEVER stay at this hotel again because my friend is still trying to get unnecessary charges credited back to his credit card. These charges were not held but charged it's been over a week since checking out and still not straight. This is very sad and we're still trying to get an understanding why all the bogus charges still no answers. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone EVER!!!
The Hotel manager was horrible and completely rude. I'm not sure if i'll visit New Orleans again, but i'm sure it will never be at the Whitney hotel. I'm currently composing a formal letter to be sent to his superior.
I like the location. We could easily walk to anywhere we wanted to go.
Staff in restaurant was confused and they charged me 20 dollars for a bagel with cream cheese. Room was super noisy with traffic all night. Bed and pillows were horrible.
Great front-of-desk staff, quiet back rooms, very fast internet connections.
ALL the staff were very courteous. Hotel were clean, rooms comfortable and quiet. Security rounded often making me and my family feel safe.
Valet parking was expensive
No one help with bags, Checking in was hectic, no luggage cart available said they had some but didn't know where to locate them, street noise heard on top floor it was terrible
The location was perfect, one block from the street cars, close proximity to the French Quarter and the Louisiana Superdome (walking distance) and did not have to use our car.
Sirens were a little noisy at times.
Location, staff, facility
Our towels had hair in them...eeeew....!!!!
parking was horrible. You do not get free valet parking and there is no free parking anywhere close to the hotel.
The location was GREAT! Didn't have to walk far to Bourbon street or the Superdome!
I didn't like the fact that it didn't have a microwave or a refrigerator! For the price I paid it should've had that!
I did not like this hotel, I have stayed in many hotels in New Orleans. I was disappointed in this hotel for many reasons: the room was tiny, the bed was uncomfortable, the curtains were old and did not block out the city lights, there really was nothing I liked about this hotel and would never stay there again.
lumpy bed. Small room. Dingy decor. We had two rooms and one was much nicer than the other.
We had a nice corner room it was very comfortable. It was walking distance to so many things, especially the Superdome!
Staff was hit and miss. Restaurant and lounge closed way to early.
Staff was always very friendly and helpful. The staff made me feel at home. The hotel lobby was Beautiful. Loved that I was able to check my baggage in prior to check in and after check out . Restaurant had really good tasty appetizers. Over all it was the staff that made my stay awesome.
Bit of a walk to key parts of downtown. The hotel had no vending machines for snacks ( midnight hunger ) There were no mini marts or convenience stores around to accommodate for no snack machines or last minute items that were needed. Room service was not provided as traditional room service that we are accustomed to. The restaurant was no affiliated with the hotel. Presentation when we ordered breakfast was horrible. However if you ate at the restaurant it was a satisfying experience.
Easy to find, close to everything.
They charged $32/night for parking. They should just include that into their price.
Front desk staff were sometimes difficult to find
The room was very nice
The restaurant wasn't all that great. The view in my room was horrible
Location was centrally located.
The staff was rude, the maid service asked us if we needed our room serviced. I didn't think we needed to tell the staff to do so. Breakfast was over priced and valet took an hour to find our car.
Size of room
Great location. Wonderful nostalgia.
The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Two wake-up calls were missed.
Small boutique hotel in the middle of everything. Great service and great rooms
Everything was great
The hotel was charming. The front desk staff and valet staff and restaurant staff were very nice and helpful. The maintenance staff were also very nice.
Our room had holes in the floor. The maid staff left a bit to be desired. They did not have a hair dryer in room and they vacuumed in front of my door at 10pm. They left clean towels all over the room.
The historical aspect of the hotel and how quiet it was. We got some great sleep!!! Really fast response from housekeeping and maintenance.
The shower handle fell off and the toilet was backed up before we arrived in our room but the maintenance guy fixed the problem. Then the ironing board wouldn't stay up it kept falling down and the Iron leaked but housekeeping came and brought a new ironing board and iron.
