Great location. Wonderful nostalgia.
The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Two wake-up calls were missed.
Small boutique hotel in the middle of everything. Great service and great rooms
Everything was great
The hotel was charming. The front desk staff and valet staff and restaurant staff were very nice and helpful. The maintenance staff were also very nice.
Our room had holes in the floor. The maid staff left a bit to be desired. They did not have a hair dryer in room and they vacuumed in front of my door at 10pm. They left clean towels all over the room.
The historical aspect of the hotel and how quiet it was. We got some great sleep!!! Really fast response from housekeeping and maintenance.
The shower handle fell off and the toilet was backed up before we arrived in our room but the maintenance guy fixed the problem. Then the ironing board wouldn't stay up it kept falling down and the Iron leaked but housekeeping came and brought a new ironing board and iron.
The dining area... No fresh milk for breakfast... All their milk was spoiled.. You would think the manager would have check the day before serving breakfast their milk supply... Try telling a baby there is no milk!!! Then in the rooms there are no small ice box or a microwave... Really??? This could have been voided if the room would have had fridge and a microwave... The manager of the hotel had to go buy some milk!!! For my baby.. Now... The waitress would not even say that the milk was spoiled she ignored me and my child when I asked her to come to my table she said she had to wait on these bunch of older people .. they wanted their breakfast so I said if I asked them if one would mind you stopping and give me the milk for the baby what do you think they would say she just looked at me and kept walking toward the other tables... No I will not go back!
We enjoyed our stay. We plan to book again. The head of housekeeping was very nice and helpful. She suggested places to see. Thank you
Would have liked to have access in the hotel to a gift shop.
Everything about the Whitney was what I was looking for on my stay. I felt like I went back in time, yet still had today"s amenities. It was an excellent experience.
I am a Louisiana native and current state resident, so it takes alot for a New Orleans hotel to impress me. This was my best trip to the city ever thanks to the hotel and its great staff. Location is excellent. This will be the ONLY place I stay from now on in NOLA!!!
There was not one person that I can into contact with who did not go above and beyond to help me. From making me dinner after the restaurant closed to advocating on my behalf with my bank. Everyone was fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It is only a few blocks from the French Quarter and down the strew from the Dome. The building is an old bank and is beautiful. I will stay here every time I go to New Orleans!
The staff was very nice... I requested a refrigerator & the guy was at the door with it before we made it to our room... The view was excellent... The bed was kinda uncomfortable... But the room was spacious giving that it had a living room or seating area that was closed off to the room by double doors... The bathroom was nice size... Overall I give my stay here a 4 out of 5... I would stay here again & I world recommend it to anyone... Looking for a room Downtown but not too close to all the noise...
I ddnt like the bed was uncomfortable giving that u had to walk a few blocks to Canal & Bourbon St... If they could get better mattresses for the price u pay for the room it would have been an excellent stay overall...
The suite was very comfortable, clean and only couple blocks from French Quarter passing through great shops and places to eat. Definitely pricing was excellent for the value I received. The staff was very friendly and gave their best. Highly recommend for those who want to be close enough the action but not part of it all the time as there is much more to see around.
Loved the history and nostalgia the building expressed. The staff was great and very accommodating. Bank Vault - very cool!
Booked a double room but when we checked in and got to the room it was a single double bed... we're relocated to another room however the renovations were not quite complete... not a horrible thing just took away slightly from the experience.
We arrived to the hotel and the staff immediately upgraded our room so we would have more room. They were very attentive during the check in process and took care of our car and bags. We arrived at 12, knowing check in was not until 3 but our room was ready. It was our first trip to New Orleans so they set us up with a map and a few of their favorite recommendations. My sister even forgot her iphone charger (OMG) and they lent us one for the weekend.
Wished it was an extra block or 2 closer to the French Quarter....drinking and walking gets very tiresome.
Perfect for anyone travelling.
Liked that room was seperated for privacy. Liked that wifi was free.
wish I would had a small refrigerator in the room.
We loved it! Location, the building, big rooms, good beds, clean.
Parking its way too expensive my friends, be ready! $32 plus tax per night.
I like the centrally located hotel, would be happy to stay again. The hotel is an old bank, so the decor is pretty quirky. Modern guest facilities are available throughout the hotel. I was able to have pizza delivered to my room without ant hassle. I think the rooms where clean and orderly.
The old, slow elevators. Lack of breakfast at the hotel. The key cards need to reprogrammed after 2 nights a small reception is absolutely.
The location is great
The hotel rooms look tired. We had to switch rooms one night because of a broken lock. No problem, that happens. Then the next night the AC went and it was cooler in the hall than in the room.
Great location if you like to get out and walk around.
If you get a room that faces Poydras street it's pretty loud all the time.
Great value - beautiful old building with nice rooms and only a few blocks from the French quarter. The concierge/front desk guy was fantastic very kind and helpful
Our phone didn't work.
Room and bathroom well serviced
No hot water in my room, only was given another room after 2 nights. On two occasions the room access card failed to work. Internet access slow and on my last day, not working and had to go to the receiption area to connect.
no parking at hotel . vale parking too expensive, couldnt eat dinner because of private dinner. maid too early to clean room when we wanted to sleep more.
Location and old vibe decor.
Very noisy doors and bleed from the hallways. Had ants in the bathroom tub. Had some stains on the carpet. Elevators malfunctioned and trapped me inside twice. Restaurant was closed too much.
