Original Architecture. Up to date furnishing and fixtures. Friendly staff.
Low water pressure (doubled shower time needed). Dingy decor.
The comfortable bed was the best!!! Free wifi is not slow at all. Free breakfast? Why not? :) Awesome hotel here!
It's within walking distance to our daughter and everything we want to do!
Parking nearby and great staff.
The staff is wonderful. They truly make you feel like family. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast in the lobby is plentiful and delicious. A nice way to start the day.
Comfortable clean room, very friendly understanding staff, terrific location and value for the money.
Close to Aragon Ballroom, staff was great about getting me a taxi to venue
Can't think of anything.
The location was good. The neighborhood was very quiet and attractive. It is very easy not to notice there is a hotel sitting among the apartment houses. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. The room was HUGE. The place seems well-maintained and clean.
The toilet ran sometimes but not enough to complain to management. They seemed very glad I told them about it at checkout. A couple guests told us they didn't have any hot water, but that was not our experience.
The location is great if one doesn't mind to be a little bit outside Chicago's center. Parking facilities are available on the street for free. There are very good restaurants nearby and also good shopping facilities. It's just a 10min walk to the train and a 30 min train ride to the city center.
The room was a little noisy. One could hear other travelers walking in the room above. The heating system couldn't be regulated and it was very hot in the room.
Location: one of the few hotels in Lakeview, near Lincoln Park.
The walls seem made of cardboard. We could hear conversations not only in the room next to us, but two rooms down the hall.
The room was very lovely, and had everything I needed. I really enjoyed it.
The noise early in the morning and of course difficult parking but that is what you get in the heart of the city.
Stay while there was functional
Parking is expensive ($22.00per day) close by and I have been double charged parking while at the hotel charged the full amount when I arrived and then charged the daily amount also. When I realised and asked for the issue to be rectified the hotel have not responded effectively and I am now nearly $300 out of pocket as they still have not refunded me (4 weeks later)
Staff was very helpful, showed us maps of where to go, where to eat, etc. Adrienne and Jordan were both great. Room size was perfect for what we needed, clean, and beds were comfortable.
Ask for a room on the 4th floor, b/c we could hear people above us having sex at 3-4 am, and walking around, showering, etc. Did not sleep well. Also, room was very hot, and did not seem to improve after adjusting the heater..Temp in room was okay after opening a few windows in the room (this was during the wintertime).
Location. Value. Quiet at night. 24 hour coffee in Lobby. Good to sleep and prep for a night/day out. Parking less than 30/day. Visit for the area, not the hotel. MUCH better than low discount rate hotels around Lakeview.
Low water pressure in shower. Fine if you don't have long hair :-). Don't know if all rooms are like that ( ? ). Some rooms need slight, minor updating, but nothing major.
Location & staff
too cold in room, specially in bath room.
location, great minibar prices, helpful staff.
older furnishings not remodeled in a while.
Everything about the hotel. The staff were wonderful and friendly especially Ben who always get the taxi for us. The front desk people were all kind and friendly. Awesome people and location! Will definitely stay at The Willows again when we visit the wind city in the future.
Location and price
Clean rooms, quiet, comfortable beds and bedding, accommodating and friendly staff, very inexpensive mini-bar/snacks ($1 per snack, $10/bottle champagne), free breakfast included. Was hesitant when booking because I had never heard of hotel, but so happy with my stay! Would highly recommend to anyone!
I was in Chicago for business, but always try to stay at the Willows when I visit town. The hotel is in a convenient location, very friendly staff, it is clean, and the rooms and building are adorable. I had an issue while I was traveling, and they were very accomodating.
I have no complaints about this hotel.
no computer or printer in the lobby for guests to use
Great staff. Very helpful going above and beyond when I lost my purse in a taxi. Very close to our son's apartment and in a "younger" feeling neighborhood. Booked a double queen room and it was very spacious. Pretty flowers in front of hotel.
Lovely area of the city with lots of restaurants nearby. Situated on the local bus routes so easy access into the city.
