Staff was very helpful, showed us maps of where to go, where to eat, etc. Adrienne and Jordan were both great. Room size was perfect for what we needed, clean, and beds were comfortable.
Ask for a room on the 4th floor, b/c we could hear people above us having sex at 3-4 am, and walking around, showering, etc. Did not sleep well. Also, room was very hot, and did not seem to improve after adjusting the heater..Temp in room was okay after opening a few windows in the room (this was during the wintertime).
Location. Value. Quiet at night. 24 hour coffee in Lobby. Good to sleep and prep for a night/day out. Parking less than 30/day. Visit for the area, not the hotel. MUCH better than low discount rate hotels around Lakeview.
Low water pressure in shower. Fine if you don't have long hair :-). Don't know if all rooms are like that ( ? ). Some rooms need slight, minor updating, but nothing major.
Location & staff
too cold in room, specially in bath room.
location, great minibar prices, helpful staff.
older furnishings not remodeled in a while.
Everything about the hotel. The staff were wonderful and friendly especially Ben who always get the taxi for us. The front desk people were all kind and friendly. Awesome people and location! Will definitely stay at The Willows again when we visit the wind city in the future.
Location and price
Clean rooms, quiet, comfortable beds and bedding, accommodating and friendly staff, very inexpensive mini-bar/snacks ($1 per snack, $10/bottle champagne), free breakfast included. Was hesitant when booking because I had never heard of hotel, but so happy with my stay! Would highly recommend to anyone!
I was in Chicago for business, but always try to stay at the Willows when I visit town. The hotel is in a convenient location, very friendly staff, it is clean, and the rooms and building are adorable. I had an issue while I was traveling, and they were very accomodating.
I have no complaints about this hotel.
no computer or printer in the lobby for guests to use
Great staff. Very helpful going above and beyond when I lost my purse in a taxi. Very close to our son's apartment and in a "younger" feeling neighborhood. Booked a double queen room and it was very spacious. Pretty flowers in front of hotel.
Lovely area of the city with lots of restaurants nearby. Situated on the local bus routes so easy access into the city.
Cost and location was prefect for a get away over night trip. Everything we did was within walking distance.
It's an old hotel voices travel clearly through the walls. Any hallway conversations were as if they was in our room.
The Willows was a comfortable hotel, well located in the Lakeview area of the city, close to shops, bars and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was a good size with all the amenities you'd expect. It was good to have a "free" breakfast to start the day, but there's no dining room as such - just the front lobby.
Our room was on the ground floor backing on to an alleyway that could be noisy at times. While the Willows was generally good value for money, it was expensive on the Friday of our 4 night stay.
Cheapest overnight parking we've found.
I loved the look of the hotel and the rooms were very nice. That was the comfiest bed I have slept in for a hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the location being around the corner from Wal-mart and only 1.5 from Wrigley field.
I didn't like that there was only ice on the first floor.
Good location, near restaurants, friendly staff
Breakfast could be improved with make your own sandwich.
Quiet, and in a good location. Easy to walk to area attractions.
Cost, was high in comparison to amenities. Breakfast was similar to those found in much cheaper hotels.
away from main city quiet and friendly great size rooms
bed & pillows very comfortable loved the shampoo, conditioner, lotion (wish i would have written brand down) good room location. Eric the bellboy very kind and nice. breakfast options good
counter people did enough to get by but didn't go out of way. air conditioner making loud sound after we were unpacked & settled after 4 hr drive but when called desk at 4:45 woman said had to move or get maintenance before 5 since they all leave then. were tired so just had to keep windows open. at least had a breeze. location to wrigley and area good. drunk man was laying passed out 10 feet from entrance on sidewalk. refridge did not work
Location, staff, quiet atmosphere
small rooms, no closet and the bathroom window was broken so it did not keep out the heat and some of the outside noise
Small. Hotel friendly helpful staff. Great location. Close to restaurants .public transport for downtown about 15 min close to lake .free breakfast. Wifi. And tea and coffee
To be honest. Only leaving. After. 14 days
