The attractive qualities of this hotel are overshadowed by issues with customer service. When I first arrived, having made a reservation two months in advance. They were initially unable to secure me a room. It seems that they had overbooked(which is not uncommon for a hotel of this type), And they spent almost 15 minutes on the phone at the desk trying to find a room. It was only after I displayed some slight frustration via body language and tactful comments that they worked it out. At one point, I overheard on the phone that they were going to downgrade me. Unacceptable. These kinds of talks need to be done elsewhere besides right in front of the customer, it was just getting me more and more frustrated. They ended up finding a room, but I got the impression that they were trying to gauge my acceptance of downgrading. Second big problem are two services that I'll combine into one complaint, because it's the same problem with both services, valet and concierge. If you were to go down to the concierge desk in person and make a request, or go down to the valet station and ask for your car, requests would be taken care of in a timely manner, in a practically reasonable time. But if either of these services are done on the phone, the service is not up to par. I called valet and concierge four and three times respectfully, and was not able to get through on the phone, other than to be put on hold. After being on hold for about 5-7 minutes, the convenience of these services are moot. For instance, it would be beneficial to call from your room and get your car brought out, and then buy the time you get down, you've been efficiently serviced by having your car there. If you can't get through to valet to make the request, it kind of deviates front the point. Ci was not able to get through to valet or concierge over the phone one single time to make a request.
The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to go to sleep, I just wanted to continue to feel how great it was! Bathroom was also great, very well laid out, and spacious. Cleanliness of the room was unmatched, I didn't see a single speck of dust. the room itself was fantastic, I've been to few other hotels in this price range with matched comfort, amenities, and cleanliness. A+ on the room.
