Fun bar inside, nice pool. Great value for your money.
I liked that it was close to Gunstock Mountain
The room and the whole establishment was run down and dirty. The light in the bathroom was broken and the staff was not helpful.
Bathroom needs a little update
The woman who checked me in was extremely nice. The location wasn't what I was expecting however close to everything (shopping, restaurants ect). For the money, meh I think I should have spent a few extra bucks and went somewhere where I felt a tad more comfortable.
-Wifi did not work -king size bed was alright, would have been better if it wasn't caving in -the smell of musty mold filled the hotel and when first walking in that smell hits you like a freight train do yourself a favor and buy a some air freshener for the room. They were "re-modeling" it looks like they need to remodel the entire hotel not just the "lobby" place was probably mint in the late 70s -worse shower ive ever taken in my life! Water pressure if nothing and I swear I felt cleaner prior to getting in that shower. -View of the lake huh? No. Just no. You can't see the lake, only traffic and what looked to be a trailer park
Nice, but on the way to being excellent.
all was good.
Plasterfalling from the ceiling, only one towel had reserved as a couple, you would think they would check the rooms to make sure they were ready in busy Christmas season
The new bed in our room was comfortable and the room was very clean.
The property was going through renovations so the pool was closed. We were told this was a temporary issue and we were given a rate reduction for our inconvenience. We look forward to staying there again when the facilities are all working.
Room smelled- felt dirty- noisy
Lots to do in motel, air hockey table tennis table games pool etc lovely location for whole of lakes, weirs beach and lake squam and the natural science centre well worth a visit for young and old
Pool water did not look clean enough to swim in so we didn't
Clean. Good Location.
The wifi signal in our room was too weak to use. The breakfast room was dark and the breakfast was average. For the cost, not a good value.
Price and accommodating manager. Has potential, but is extremely rundown at this point. Hopefully new owner will rejuvenate the place; will need it without lake access and rundown pool.
No longer has private beach access to Lake Winnesquam, exterior landscaping overgrown and not maintained, thought it was closed when we first pulled up, restaurant closed. Renovations are supposed to be coming with new owner, hopefully that includes pool area too as the windows are in desperate need and pool area is rundown. We have stayed a number of times while attending Meadowbrook events and house hunting, but won't in the future unless significant upgrades are made without the lake access. Too many other places to go that do.
The staff was very friendly and they really did their best to accommodate their guests. The actually rooms were clean and beds were comfy.
The facilities overall left much to be desired. A lot of the amenities like the ice maker and the change machine were out of order. The pool was cloudy and the hot tub made a loud noise when the bubbles were turned on. Also, the location is right across Winnisquam but the new management does not have access to the beach anymore so you have to travel to a nearby public beach.
The rooms, jaccuzzi, pool were very much appreciated. The breakfast was also good!( continental) The service at the front desk was wonderful!
No more accès to the lake for swimming , canoing etc and no more restaurant open on the resort on monday tuesday and wednesday. These two things is what had made us book again Last year everything was available but now its changed because of new administration.
In door swimming pool
Bath room was out date and smell
Cleanliness Staff was very accomadating Lots to do at the hotel Indoor pool A good amount of tv channels to choose from
Bed was too firm Musty smell in room
The staff was super bice and accomodating. It was clean and perfect for a mini getaway. The bed was so comfy.
Access to indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym equipment and a complimentary continental breakfast.
No access to the lake across the street. This used to be available to guests.
No beach rights
Other than it was a place to stay when other spots were booked, there was little good about it. Breakfast was good. Pool and hot tub were good.
The hotel was dirty. My room was not made up, coffee cup not cleaned for the next day, bed not made, garbage not removed. Other than clean towells and placement of coffe pk and sugar/creamer, nothing was done in the room for the next day.
Odor in room. Complained two times before something was done. Hot tub out of order. No breakfast. Coffee cups so small you needed three to make a regular cup. Staff unfriendly. Will not return after staying for over ten years. Was over charged. I payed over 200 another payed 130 per night. Very dissatisfied.
Inexpensive and clean
Everything about the place was great. The rooms were very clean with everything you would need. The continental breakfast in the morning was good. You got the best of everything for a valued amount. There was a pool, hot tub /whirlpool, sauna, tanning, game room, media room. Across the street was a lake front park with picnic tables, deck for sitting, docks and a launch area for your boat. The best was you were just a hop skip or jump away from outlets, restaurants, and the lakes region activities. Great place will surely stay again.
The restaurant was closed for renovations for upcoming summer. BUT not a problem there was plenty other places near by.
The location is convenient and close to shopping and restaurants. The kids enjoyed the pool. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and cozy. Definitely would stay again.
I don't have much negative to say other then some parts of the hotel are dated.
The indoor pool was nice but could have been less crowded and cleaner. Apparently it's not just for guests. Its open to the public.
The hotel itself and room look nothing like pictures on website. Very outdated and depressing. Kids running over my head in hall all night. Half the fitness room equipment not functioning and have to leave your room key at front desk to get key to treadmill, when our power in our room went out because we plugged hair dryer and fridge in at same time we were told no maintenance or manager on site to speak to but they would see what they could do about getting power back on. It came on about 25 minutes later. Room was cold. Space heater not enough to keep warm. Wifi stunk. Service in and out. They boast the make your own Belgian waffle station at the continental breakfast but fail to tell you it's not available till Sunday. Lakeview was almost non existant..way across the street, walls were paper thin. We are expecting something much better. We almost left and didn't spend the night. Won't be recommending or returning. They need to represent this more as what it is. Resort is laughable. Maybe motel would be better...Bates Motel. Very disatisfied.
new waffle maker was a great addition for free breakfast (included.)They had fruit but should have bananas.
They let young kids in the jacuzzi when sign on wall clearly stated no one under 18 allowed.Had a bunch of kids in room above us and they were jumping all night until midnight and early in am (6 am).Did get room moved upstairs but had a smoker right outside our room all day long with smoke coming in through air conditioner (not covered).
