I liked the location, the food, the owners, the house, and the comfortable leather sofa on the second floor.

A calm and restful property removed from the rush and bustle but very convenient to the twin cities. Beautifully appointed and run by warm and real human beings. Mind you there is real danger in the sumptuous breakfasts and various delicacies left around to tempt the weak!

Even though everyone has a cell phone these days this does not always apply to overseas guests. Some form of private telephone facility would be a helpful addition.

We recently (Feb. 2014) stayed at the Timber Oaks Bed and Breakfast. We had the time of our life. Its a beautiful log house in the country. Kim and Dale (owners) are great hosts. We were treated like royalty. The breakfast was delicious and the homemade cookies are out of this world. We were lucky to have the house all to ourselves. We intend to return.

The log cabin style was beautiful. it was clearly a large, custom built home but very cozy and welcoming. It's location was remote enough that it was peaceful day and evening yet close enough to the city (Forth Worth) that we didn't have a long trek back after attending our event (Dia de los Toadies). It was about 15-20 minutes drive time which was ideal. The homemade breakfast was oustanding - waffles, quiche, coffee, juice, and an impressive fresh fruit cup - all served on lovely plateware and at the time we requested. The owners/inn-keepers are very kind and attentive. The level of comfort and cleanliness is exceptional. I also found that the well water they use made showering even nicer. I have told everyone I know to visit this gem and there is not one thing that could have been better.
