Great location. Super staff
I guess I don't like Sleepnumber beds
Location is great. The rooms are spacious & clean. Staff is friendly
Friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Great value.Bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again.
I liked the staff, the clean rooms.
I liked everything.
The beds and bedding.
WiFi was not available.
The facilities are formidable, nice park and scenic setting, great access to Saugatuck and highway, restaurants, and up-to-date furnishings and comfort; the bed had temperature settings, the shower was spacious with wall-to-ceiling tile, the TV was xfinity with lots of stations, and the breakfast was quite diverse and plentiful (yogurt, fresh bagels, muffins, fruit salad, oatmeal, creamcheese, butter, and top-brand coffee). Pool was closed for the season but just being near it gives one a great feel. Would recommend this place to anyone on a tight budget and an appreciation for scenic surroundings.
The new management are good people. Very friendly and did everything to make our stay great.
Older motel. It appears new management is making an effort to upgrade.
This motel is older, but perfect for our one night stay. The place was very clean, had a sleep number bed, and even a small refrigerator. We left before checking out the breakfast.
We had a very noisy/rude next door "neighbor" there who came back to the motel at 2:45 a.m., and proceeded to carry on a 15 minute loud conversation with someone else in the parking lot. Obviously this was not the fault of the motel. Just a guest who has no brains and/or consideration for other guests!
Grounds were well kept
Found bed bugs crawling around under sheet, should have listened to other reviews! Should have just paid more at chain hotel, but this was close to area attraction we were going to
The timberline is a cute little motel straight out of the 1960s. The grounds and facilities were well maintained and the location just minutes from both the expressway and the downtown. Rooms were larger than I expected for the cheap price, and the continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about surrounding landmarks and restaurants.
Nothing not to like!
Staff was really friendly. It reminded me of traveling when I was a kid - it was the sort of motel that has horseshoes (real ones) and a horseshoe pit. It was nostalgic and modern at the same time. Their wifi services worked all over the grounds and in the rooms.
I liked that it was only a few minutes away from town
bed shower breakfast
Hot tub and trees
The room was musty, needed a good deep cleaning and update. The sleep number bed didn't work.
we understand that the property will be upgraded. You should also upgrade the web site to show whether or not you are booking a newly remodeled room or a old room.
Friendly, personable staff
Some windows could not be closed fully, toilet door could not be locked
The location was great! Sally the cleaning lady was thoughtful and charming!
The pool was padlocked both days we were at the motel. The carpet in our room was so dirty that the soles of our feet turned black after walking barefoot. "Rusty", the general mngr. was very rude to me on numerous occassions. Everytime we spoke he was either sarcastic or rude. He should not be in a position where he can actually speak to a customer. Four ladies in the room next to us had similar experiences with him all weekend. They said they will never stay there again and I doubt we will either.
Great place that had everything we needed! The pool and hot tub were very clean and fun. The staff was very nice, they were very interested in making sure our stay was great! We will be back!
New owners/management. Appear to be working hard at upgrading property
Nothing we didn't like
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice outdoor pool.
The checkin took a long time. Seems that the hotel had recently been purchased and was being run in tandem with another hotel nearby. It did not seem that there was always an on-site person.
Hard beds, old decor, smelly bathroom
New manager is very nice and accommodating. Very nice double room. Breakfast was extremely convenient and had healthy choices.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Pool, hot tub and grounds.
Coffee was weak. Rooms are dated.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Very outdated, needs renovation.
